T
HIS issue of our year book, marks a new era in the life of C. C. 1. For the first time since its beginning, owing to
the change in the character of the school, the Hack is edited solely by girls. In many ways, we have been handicapped, but we have done our best and in presenting this volume to its readers, can only hope that it may be found worthy of holding a place among its EDITOR. predecessors.
Dedication
0 Jonathan Magic Meeker, our beloved President, whose
T
steadfast loyalty and efficient service have largely contributed to make the Centenary Collegiate Institute for Girls a success, we dedicate this book as a token of our esteem and affection.

HE first class to graduate from Centenary Collegiate Institute a s a girls' school is now ready t o leap from the Commencement spring board into the whirling current of life. As the long looked for time approaches we dread the parting. In our freshmen and sophomores years, we gave promise of being one of the largest classes ever graduated from C. C. I. At the end of our junior year, more than half of the members left, but we know that in spirit they are still with us. When school opened last September, it was with heavy hearts we counted our members and found that only ten of the old class had returned, the following day, a great surprise came to us, five new but true and faithful members joined our ranks. New and old alike entered upon our last year with the Sam* object in view; to be true to the blue and black and to keep her standards, above all others in scholarship and athletics. Many honors have beell won and responsible positions held by the members of our class. W e have tried in every way possible to advance the i ~ ~ t e r e s of t s our school and it is a great pleasure t o us to feel that our efforts have not been in vain. F o r four years we have had common aims and have formed strong ties which will ever bind us+*HISTORIAN. gether. W e will always be loyal and faithful to C. C. I. our Alma Mater.
