TABLE OF CONTENTS

FALL 2019 | 4 WEEKS | 12,800 SQ FT De Syntopia is an appeal to the balance of opposing ideas, exploring relationships between dark and light, compression and expansion, choas and order, Indonesian styles and Dutch. Inspired by the forms and ideas of Dutch fashion designer Iris Van Herpen and specializing in Indo-Dutch Cuisine, one will find equilibrium and excitment in this dining experience.

01 SYNTOPIA R E S T A U R A N T

“Within my designs I search for symbiotic relationships, exploring the hidden beauty at the intersection of precision and chaos, art and science, the artificial and the organic, that are blending into infinite hybrids. This philosophy of duality is ground to all my designs” - Iris Van Herpen

FALL 2020| 4 WEEKS | 13,900 SQ FT The philosophy behind Little Lights draws parallels between important facets of childhood learning and the ways light waves interact with their environment. As such, a fun and interactive environment that gives kids autonomy over their experience is an important design driver.
