Project Overview Millennial’s are the top age group that travels the most. The goal is to create a getaway beach resort for younger couples that includes entertainment, beach-side views, and a memorable experience. Location is key to attract guests, this resort will have a tranquil feel to it with many outside views.
Problem Statement One of the main problems with resorts is the programming and layout of a resort. For example, some resorts have hotel rooms located just one floor above from the club area. This resort will be a private getaway for younger generation couples, so the experience is different from any other resort allowing the environment to be peaceful.
Research During guests stay it is important to make sure they feel as if this is their home away from home. Do this by including amenities in the room and offering services or serenity clubs. The lobby should feel inviting as guests enter and check in. It is the main goal to create the best experience for guests, provide different amenities, and add a personal touch for something they will never forget.

Client Millennial’s is the main client. They are always traveling and exploring new places. This is millennial’s couples only. This resort targets them by having a peaceful getaway- no kids allowed. Resort is high end and has top end technology which is why we are targeting the younger age group.

Cancun, Mexico
This tropical peninsula is located east of Mexico. This 14 mile long strip is filled with many resorts and attractions for tourists to visit. Many visit Cancun for its clear water beach and for all inclusive resorts. Their are many different types or resorts such as; honeymoon getaways (no kids allowed), adults only, spa wellness resort, and family resorts. The most perfect time to visit is during December through April, the weather is the best during this time.

Site Analysis
Home to vacation seekers and beach lovers, destination oozes relaxation from the get go. Kaleidoscope of tropical sea species, allowing visitors to snorkel into reefs of cost. Has the most developed resorts that include all-inclusive and boutique hotels. Home to ancient ruins and temples that come from Mayan architecture.
Warm all year round, averaging of 75 degrees. Dry season occurs November-April. Pearly beaches and sun-kissed sea that runs 20 miles along the Yucatan coast. Main attraction is beaches, nightly entertainment, nature, and climate. Popular for tourist destination, honeymoons, and family vacations. Over 10.6 millions have visited in 2018.
Cancun culture consists of different speaking languages, mostly Spanish and English. Home to amerindia culture which is 62% of population. Native Americans is 21% of culture, and miscellaneous is 10%. Work environment in resorts require employees to work very long hours so it is important to design for their needs.

Overview Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen Resort This all inclusive resort is one of the most unique buildings that gives great view to the ocean. Balconies face the ocean and overlook greenery. They are many amenities throughout the space that keep guests exploring. It also includes a big outdoor infinity pool, along with a deck. It is also located near close by amenities for guests. With the unique architecture and layout I used this building for my project and it will be located in Cancun strip.

Sosiego is a resort that promotes tranquility for younger couples to have a relaxing stay. Design will focus on wellness for guests and things in nature. Seashells to symbolize a spiral effect, waves to symbolize water and reflective materials, and texture of palm trees to symbolize organic curves. Things in nature to symbolize tranquility

Design Concept Tranquil- calm, still, and quiet. Sense of peacefulness. Feeling of relaxed comfort or a place that is quiet and calm. Natural spaces can promote relaxation, stress relief, and perhaps even a longer life. Harmonious- having parts combined in a proportionate, orderly, or pleasing arrangement
