THE PRELUDE BY TELFAR
ConTina May Capstone Spring 2021 ADID 450
Problem Statement
The shopping experience has greatly changed over time. Nowadays, the consumer’s experience of retail is vastly handled online, and this leaves the brick-and-mortar shops abandoned for extensive periods of time. This is causing these stores to lose money, and even-tually close entirely. Shopping centers were a big attraction to shop and socialize with friends and family during the 1970’s- 1990’s. The advancement of technology deterioation of the shopper’s experience, and the outbreak of the Corona Virus we see the decline of shopping centers at a rapid rate.

Concept Statement
Shopping centers have more potential than we realize. Outlet malls could be a family’s afternoon adventure, teenager’s hangout spot, customers’ way of bargain shopping for both high and low-end brands, or a couple’s date night and so much more. Over the years we’ve lost this shopping center experience , but by merging technology with interactive customer experience to these stores we can possibly see an increase in these declining retail stores.
