The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County is updating our DonorCentral online portal that provides you access to your fund(s) information. From here you can view your latest fund balances, get fund statements, make grant recommendations, and see Community Needs. Getting Started You have received an email with a link to the DonorCentral user confirmation page. Following the requirements outlined on this page, set up your password. Once the password is confirmed, the login page appears.

Using the email address associated with your Fund and newly created password, log into DonorCentral. Scroll down from the Welcome page to see the Fund Details tile (box), the Grant Information tile and the Community Needs tile.

Recommend a Grant DonorCentral makes it easy for you to recommend a grant from your fund(s). You can repeat previous grants you made or, using the Foundation's nonprofit database, research charities and recommend a new grant. 1. Select Recommendations at the top of the screen. Choose New or Manage recurring to enter a grant. From New, the Grant Recommendation screen appears.

2. In the Charity tab, select a charity one of three ways: - Select prior recipient: drop-down list of organizations that have received grants from your fund previously. - Search for a recipient: drop-down list of all organizations in the TCF database. - Checking the Add a new charity box opens a window to add an organization new to TCF. 3. Select Next. 4. In the Recommendation tab which appears next (see below), click in the Funding Source box for the drop down list of your fund(s). Select the fund you want to use for this recommendation. If you click the Fund anonymous box, the fund is marked anonymous and when the grant check and accompanying letter are printed, “Anonymous Fund” appears in place of the fund name. 5. In the Grant section, enter the grant Amount, Grant purpose, and any other special information. You also have the option choose Donor Advisor Anonymous. This is separate from the Fund Anonymous option and provides the donor advisor with anonymity.

8. Review the Agreement tab that appears next to acknowledge the grant recommendation requirements and comply with IRS requirements by selecting the I agree box.

9. Select Review and if all information is correct then select Submit on the next page. The Previous button at the bottom of each of these tabs can be used to go back and change information at any time before Submit is selected. If necessary, at any time in the process, click Save for Later to store your grant recommendation without submitting. To return later and complete it, look for it in the Unsubmitted recommendations tile that will appear on your home page. This function is also useful if multiple grants are being requested at the same time. Using the Save for Later button will allow you to submit the entire list at once from the Unsubmitted recommendations tile.
