Bank protest councillors accused of attention seeking

TWO city councillors have been accused of “attention seeking” ahead of next year’s local elections following their arrest during an anti-austerity protest yesterday. Socialist Party councillor Mick Barry and Workers’ Party councillor Ted Tynan were among five arrested at an anti-property tax and water charges protest at the Bank of Ireland, Patrick Street.
