Munster legend salutes fans after glittering playing career RONAN O’GARA looks to have played his last game for Munster and will call a halt to a glittering career that has seen him play 236 times for the province.

An emotional O’Gara saluted the province’s fans, accompanied by his son Rua after the semi-final fuelling speculation that he might be about to call it a day. The big question for the player himself, who has 128 international caps to his name, will be whether his next career move will be working in the media, with Sky already believed to have approached the star, or whether he begins his journey toward his ultimate goal of coaching Munster. Ever the consummate professional, he said in the aftermath of the game

RUGBY

By SEÁN McCARTHY that he wasn’t thinking about what would come next in his career. “It is not a day for thinking about that,” he said. “Today our sole focus was on Clermont. It was a massive occasion. You’d be disrespectful to your team-mates if you were thinking any other way. “This competition made me appreciate rugby so much and I’ll sleep on it until the end of the season. “You put so much into it. We’ve been there before, but it is an unbelievable competition. It is a cracking atmosphere, as good as it gets in rugby,” he said. ● See P44-45 for more.
