Upwards of 800/900 fans are expected to attend with Derry fielding the league’s top scorer on 12 goals and Northern Ireland international Rory Patterson. Manager Declan Devine has Sean Houston and Thomas Crawley out injured but skipper Kevin Deery, Paddy Kavanagh and Stewart Greacen are all expected to feature today. Young Barry McNamee who was with the Ireland U21s in Denmark yesterday is also making his way to Blarney via Dublin. McNamee was on trial at Notts Forest and is now a target for Bristol City’s Sean O’Driscoll and is widely tipped as the next Derry player to move cross-channel.
