JAMES CASH STATUE

TCU announced a commitment to install a statue of James Cash, Ph.D., in front of Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena. The announcement came at TCU's Reconciliation Day – a university-wide event to learn about and reflect on the TCU Race & Reconciliation Initiative's year-one work, commemorate healing and journey forward with celebration, fellowship and action.

JAMES CASH NIGHT

For the men's basketball game against Oklahoma State on Feb. 3, TCU's marketing department, along with studentathlete development, held a James Cash Night. Cash was the first Black student-athlete at TCU and the first Black basketball player in the Southwest Conference. The men's basketball team wore retro shooting shirts, styled to look like the uniform Cash played in while at TCU. TCU students received a similar style retro jersey. Students received one bill of paper "Cash" that was used at the concession stand to get 54% off their total purchase.
