W eek of W el come Every year tow ards t he end of summer, Ocean View host s an orient at ion week for incoming freshmen know n as t he Week of Welcome (W.O.W. Week). The array of act ivit ies, from at tending t he first rally to picking up text books and even enjoying a dance, mark t he approach of a brand new school year for t he 9t h graders. W it h t he mindset of grow ing and developing our robot ics team, we w anted to int roduce t he freshmen to our team as well! We even displayed Del Toro, our previous robot , alongside last year?s Esa Playa. Seeing t heir faces light up w hen t hey saw Esa Playa shoot t he boulders tow ards t hem reminded us of w hen we were once freshmen and we were once blow n aw ay by t he millions of possibilit ies
