for chocolate, thermoformers, cartoners; all these machineries are the field of application of artificial vision systems guiding robots in their work-cycle. These systems are able to operate on randomly incoming products, to detect them and pick and place them onto the packaging machines. Abrigo has developed a complete range of solutions for secondary packaging and end-line, based on the concept of Modular Robotic System (MRS). This concept is based on modular cells, each one equipped with a robot built by Abrigo or

A unique solution that starts with paper-cup depositing in baking pans or on oven bands, includes depanning and decoration, and ends with secondary packaging and final packing. In 2010, Agriflex conceived, then built and patented in 2013 the innovative system for the flour cooling. This system allows the reduction even by 20°C of the flour temperature (more and more depending of conditions), guaranteeing the self-regulation of the dough temperature and thus avoiding the disadvantages of the methods used until now. GIMAT semiautomatic auger fillers (3) are designed for volumetric or gravimetric dosing not free flowing and sticky powders from 150 to 15.000 grams. The machine consists of a 30-50 l hopper in stainless steel for product contact parts with special agitator assuring bridge breaking and mixing effect, which can be integrated with form/fill/seal for automatic operation. Auger drive and agitator drive are completely independent. Hopper can be equipped with automatic filling with GIMAT powder conveyors. Thanks to GIMAT bulk bag conditioner (1 and 2) it is possible to empty a bulk bag whose contents have become so compact as to form a solid block due to environment moisture, abrupt temperature change or the impossibility of arranging storage in a suitable place. Bulk bag is reconditioned between two crushing plates to restore it from its “monolithic” condition to the original powder or at least to a granular state. Each crushing plate is driven horizontally by a pair of hydraulic press devices specifically configured to generate adequate pressure on the Bulk Bag without breaking it. The oversize hydraulic pump is able to ensure the necessary power at all times, even for particularly resistant Bulk Bags. The compressing action is applied to all four sides of the Bulk Bag thanks to the pneumatic pallet turner that rotates it by 90° and along the entire length by means of the automatic vertical movement of the two crushing plates. The Bulk Bag can be loaded on the special pallet turner either by a forklift or pallet truck, so the “Bulk Bag Conditioner” can be installed in very narrow and even elevated spaces. The crushing system is anchored to a rigid frame with closed, selfsupporting structure (certified by Fem Analysis) within which all the high-powered reactions, generated during compression of the Bulk Bag, are discharged. The reconditioning cycle is both manual and fully automatic and programmable via touch panel with customized recipes depending on the type of Bulk Bag. Automation is achieved with a Siemens S7-1200 PLC. The operator is protected against the risk of crushing by means of four optical barriers with a special safety control unit monitored with a level of protection certified SIL 2 (according to EN 62061) - Cat.3 PLd (EN ISO 13849-1). On request, it can be equipped with a system of closure on four sides by means of three fixed gates and one that can be opened with safety micro-switch.

Pasteurizing To make the treated products reach the right temperature within the required time, it is essential to carefully cover every detail: it is no coincidence Tecnopool designs complex plants that use insulated rooms to
treat the food products in accordance with parameters that are constantly monitored. Diathermic Oil Spiral Oven Tecnopool, faithful to its philosophy of simplifying production lines for mechanical and economic reasons, has completed its range of plants with a spiral cooking system which, thanks to its configuration, allows for space saving and a smooth production process. In this way, it is possible to avoid the use of row gear up/gear down systems, which are very common in the pan lines used in tunnel ovens. This is not something new; however, this spiral configuration makes it possible to make the best of the heating system designed by Tecnopool for this oven. The absence of forced ventilation and the favourable balance of air/product volume in the cell, compared to a tunnel oven, makes it possible to work with room temperatures between 10° and 15°C lower than those used by tunnel ovens (cooking times being equal). In special cases, according to Tecnopool’s experience, these differences can reach 30°C. Anyway, also in some specific cases in which it is necessary, forced ventilation is also installed in order to increase the convective effect. The technical decision leading Tecnopool to choose a radiator system, together with the special configuration afforded by the spiral, comes from the results obtained after years of trials with all types of products and in very different working conditions, which show a

The thermal fluid that runs through the tubes is diathermic oil, a system that has been chosen on account of its high thermal performance and its very low risk. It must be taken into consideration that the performance of a diathermic-oil boiler ranges between 87% and 91%, compared to 60% of an air-heating system or 30% of a direct-flame heating system. 50 kW, a range of transcritical CO2 condensing units with inverter driven semi-hermetic compressors; from 2 to 24 kW, a smaller range featuring a 2-stage inverter rotary compressor, suitable for low and medium temperature applications. These series exceed the minimum efficiency Ecodesign requirements for condensing units and are suitable for any European climate. Matching CO2 evaporators will also be available to form, together with expansion valves and a system controller, a complete system for small and medium sized cold rooms. Having in mind ease of installation, Zanotti will introduce a range of CO2 monoblocks for medium and low temperature small and medium sized cold rooms, an incredibly simple plug and play solution which does not require the installation of refrigerant piping on site. The CO2 range includes a CO2 ice-maker which can be connected to a centralized CO2 system or a dedicated CO2 condensing unit. Zanotti is also working with the new generation of low GWP synthetic refrigerants. Most medium temperature monoblock ranges and condensing units are now available with R407H (GWP 1495), a non-flammable alternative to R404A developed by Daikin Chemicals, which does not contain the expensive HFO molecule. For smaller equipment with a refrigerant charge below 2.5 kg, Zanotti is at field trial stage with R455A, a mildly flammable R404A alternative (GWP=145) suitable for medium and low temperature applications.
