Ball valves comply with “PED” 2014/68/ UE, on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to making available on the market of pressure equipment, and they can be supplied on request in compliance with directive “ATEX” 2014/34/ UE for approximation of the legislation enforced in the Member States covering safety systems and equipment to be used in potentially explosive environments zone 1-21 II 2 G-D T4. Valves comply with “MOCA” 1935/2004/ EC regulation for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, and with “GMP” 2023/2006/EC regulation for good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. to come into contact with food and conform with FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 “Perfluorocarbon resins”, FDA 21 CFR 175.300 “Resinous and polymeric coatings” and USP CLASS VI. Products comply with the technical regulation EAC TR CU 010/2011 and EAC TR CU 032/2013 (former Gost certifications). 4G GHIDINI integrally sealed ball valves have been designed to minimise the buildup of fluid inside the valve body, thus preventing any contamination. They can be sterilised with vapour, autoclave or with CIP washing systems. The valves can be easily taken apart, thus ensuring better cleaning and quick maintenance operations. 4G GHIDINI actuators can be fitted directly, ensuring a compact and clean system. The diverse processes of industrial chemical plants have strict requirements for the manufacturers of valves and components. Critical operating conditions such as temperatures and pressures require specific solutions. Aisi 316L stainless steel valves can be used with corrosive fluids and are complemented by the selection of the most suitable seal. &B Silo Systems was established as a design and construction company for the storage, transport, dosing and automation systems of raw materials. With a dynamic and successful management group, offering engineering solutions associated with a vast know-how in technological processes, it successfully established itself on the national and international scene, addressing the food, chemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical sectors. Each system adapts to its context, providing the storage of raw materials in internal and/or external silos, that can be loaded through sack or big-bag unloading systems, or directly from the supplier’s truck. Subsequently, raw materials are conveyed to the dosing point, through appropriate mechanical or pneumatic transport systems. Finally, the powder and/ or liquid ingredients are dosed and mixed in the hoppers placed near the mixers. For micro-ingredients B&B Silo Systems has, instead, designed micro-dosers with manual or automatic loading.
B&B Silo Systems also provides accessories or special components: dust extraction systems, sieve shakers, mixers, mills for sugar grinding, fermenters, flour cooling systems. UOMO is a family-run company specializing in design and production of metal packaging and food processing machinery. Founded in 1964 by three brothers, CUOMO is headquartered in Nocera Inferiore, Salerno, and run by its founders’ sons. The company’s production range includes the following: • Food processing machinery • Twist cap machinery • Metal packaging machinery Food processing machinery Machines, complete lines and equipment for primary and secondary packing suitable for any food (vegetables, meats, fishes, oils, milks, etc.). This kind of machinery carry out packing process of food, including thermal treatment of the filled container and final packing of filled containers in accordance with the market requests. The keystone of those production lines is the filling-closing automatic groups, where containers are automatically filled – by gravity either vacuum or volumetrically – by double seamers. The food processing machinery range allows to cover production speeds from 60 up to 1.000 cpm, for can sizes ranging between 70 gr and 5 Kg. (from 202 to 603 can size AS).
Twist cap machinery Machinery and complete lines for production of metal lug caps, twist-off type, for glass jars. This division is dedicated to suit any need of glass packing (bottles, jars) industry of foodstuff such as jams, legumes, tuna fish, ketchup, sauces, etc. Lug caps manufacturing line based on a double die strip feed press, served upstream by a scroll shearing line and, downstream, by operational machines all rotary type, with production speeds up to 1.000 caps per minute. iomethane. Giving food waste a second life Food industry by-products are now an incredible opportunity to produce renewable energy and promote circular and sustainable economies. With the right technologies, meat and fish industry waste, dairy and confectionery by-products, fruit and vegetable, cereals and tubers residues and the wastewater can be enhanced and transformed into biomethane. For food industries, which can also benefit from the opportunity to use it for out-of-date and returned products, it is one of the technological solutions that best reconciles environmental and economic sustainability. Producers can feed biomethane directly into the national grid or use it as a green biofuel for product handling fleets, reducing the carbon footprint - the impact of activities on the Global Climate in terms of amount of CO2 that processes generate throughout the life cycle of products - and benefiting from the incentives provided by national legislation. One of the most prominent companies in the construction and management of biogas and biomethane plants at international level is IES Biogas. Among the technological solutions proposed, the implementation of robust, reliable and flexible CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor) is suitable for solid and semi-solid matrices. For liquid matrices with a high organic load, on the other hand, the use of “fast” anaerobic systems such as UASB/EGSB fluidised bed reactors, characterised by high efficiencies in terms of biogas production, reduced organic loads, low hydraulic residence times and small volumes, can maximise biogas production with a consequent reduction in organic load. For processing high nitrogen digestates and streams, IES Biogas offers a deammonification process, an efficient ammonia removal system using autotrophic microorganisms, which reduces volumes and energy consumption. There are also the aerobic technologies for the subsequent treatment and refinement of wastewater with SBR (discontinuous
sequential process) and MBR (membrane reactors) technologies, which guarantee a further reduction in organic load. Among the final systems, ultra-filtration and reverse osmosis processes are recommended for water recovery, with a view to minimising water consumption with a dedicated approach to ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge). As for biogas, IES Food Industry also uses the best plant solutions for treatment and subsequent upgrading, with the focus on maximising yields and feeding the maximum volume of biomethane available into the grid. ince 1971, LCZ has been proposing fire-tube steam boiler with high performance for current needs. Welcome to LCZ, dedicated to design, manufacturing, installation, service and maintenance of industrial boilers for standard and special applications since 1971: plug in solutions, package solutions, site erected plants. Over the years, LCZ has been able to adapt the proposal to market evolutions, thanks to constant and continuous improvement, regarding the product as well as the fabrication processes, without forgetting the hallmark: careful analysis of customer’s requirements by its technical department aimed at drawing up the most focused, customized and detailed answer. A manufacturing system, organized in two manufacture plants both in Italy and one of these with a covered area of more than 40.000sqm, is well-characterized by automated welding processes, nondestructive tests (X-rays-L.P.), a home production of the furnaces FOX (corrugated) all supported by management using software as SAP ERP. Steam boiler CS12000 for steam production of 20 t/h and 15 bar, is characterized by yield up to 96%; it is managed by an automatic control system that enables the plant to run safely as long as 72 hours without requiring constant supervision of operators. LCZ carried out in house engineering and manufacture of the boiler, and steam distribution collector; moreover, it also supplied boiler water treatment, as follows: • inverse osmosis plant to produce 10mc/h of osmotized water • pressurized thermophysic degasser LCZ also provides its customers with customized solutions to help them exploit process and combustion residual heat as much as possible, by building condensation water recovery systems, pre-heating system for edible water, chimney heat recovery for process water production. The system enables to get efficiency up to 105%, granting the optimization of temperature of flues into the atmosphere and producing saturated steam and hot water to be used in the process. LCZ also acts on steam plants and boilers already in use, examining the possibility of operating interventions that improve overall system performances, reducing emissions and consumption. was concluded. Several products, such as loaves and round bread, and some tailored solutions with conveyor and lifting bends that activate a by-pass system to guarantee the whole plant utmost flexibility.

The bread out of the ovens has a temperature of about 90°C and gets into a cooling cell of 55 cm height. Then, it will lay for about 45 minutes on a spiral of 236 metres, in a controlled-temperature environment at +15°C, where it will reach a temperature of 25°C. Colling is followed by freezing, for which ME Food Solutions recommends DLS650EVO: 65 cm wide, 212 metres of useful length, developing in 10 levels. Speed – variable from 2,4 and 7,2 m/min - is coded in 4,8 m/ min. The product will remain in the spiral for 45 minutes, enough time for its temperature to be dropped below zero, -7°C. 4 highly flexible conveying systems DLC650 covering more than 30 metres convey the product between the ovens and spirals. What about the by-pass? The customer was requiring one single plant, for space streamlining and cost saving, for products that need different processing. • Cooling and freezing in one line, • Product cooling and conveyance to packaging, • Direct product loading for freezing, • Combined possibility of using the two spirals individually for different products, at the same time. ME Food Solutions has therefore created “variable routes” thanks to lifting conveyors that activate 4 options of product handling.

Machine management, and therefore coding of the “production line”, is by means of a touch screen: the benefit lies on the flexibility of having 4 plants in just 1, to select the best of them in accordance with the production requirements. For this project in Hungary, ME Food Solutions has also studied special lifting devices for both the conveyor DLC650 and the DLACU bends, with fixed wheeled
frames and rack or chain rails, set on the ceiling. LEXICAP – dynamic excellence FLEXICAP boasts flexibility, dynamicity and production efficiency. The modularity of all the system makes quick and simple all the product change over and also fully accessible for the inspection of all the operations. The new FLEXICAP guarantees the maximum flexibility of the whole system; the feeding of the capsules by sorter or by storage for stacked capsules which is both available in the horizontal longautonomy-supply version and in the classic vertical version. The loading and downloading of capsules is carried out by Pick & Place system. The inner capsules cleaning system before the filling and of the edge of the capsule after the filling is performed by
sterile micro-filtered air and the suction of the residual powders; this process allows a perfect sealing of the edge of the capsule guaranteeing a perfect sealing over the time and the closing of the top lid. The filling and sealing stations are userfriendly and they include the maintenance and the cleaning. The machine is prepared for the installation of a laminar flow system, which ensure a 100% hygienic product. FLEXICAP has been designed to run different formats for both liquid products, powders and coffee. It applies a pucks system to move the capsules through the filling, filter insertion (where required) and cut and seal top lid stations. The machine is also available in “docking station” version, easy to extract. This model is easy to dismount and it ensures an excellent cleaning. Furthermore, the changeover is fast and performed with no tools. Brushless motors drive all the stations guaranteeing accuracy, flexibility and the quality of the operations. The adjustments and the configurations of the machine are carried out through the 15 inches “touch screen” panel, with the possibility to save the production data. The machine is prepared for the integration into industry 4.0. FLEXICAP is equipped with controls for the correct execution of all the operations and for the installation of a verification camera. Significant and noteworthy are the contact parts with the product made of 316 L. stainless steel according to pharma and food standards. The pucks to host the capsules are made of high-resistance material due to the sealing procedure that is also easy to move.
