Bangladeshi restaurateurs overwhelmingly come from the northeastern division of Sylhet. Until 1998, as many as 85% of curry restaurants in the UK were British Bangladeshi restaurants, but in 2003 this figure declined to just over 65%. Currently, the dominance of Bangladeshi restaurants is generally declining in some parts of London and the further north one travels. In Glasgow, there are more restaurants of Punjabi origin than any other. Regardless of the ethnic origin of a restaurant’s ownership, the menu will often be influenced by the wider South Asia (sometimes including Nepalese dishes), and sometimes cuisines from further afield (such as Persian dishes). Some British variations on Indian food are now being
exported from the U.K. to India. British-style curry restaurants are also popular in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. This cuisine is characterised by the use of a common base for all the sauces to which spices are added when individual dishes are prepared. The standard “feedstock” is usually a sautéed mixture of onion, garlic and fresh ginger, to which various spices are added, depending on the recipe, but which may include: cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, chilies, peppercorns, cumin and mustard seeds. Ground coriander seed is widely used as a thickening agent, and turmeric is added for colour and its digestive qualities. Fresh or canned tomatoes and bell peppers are a common addition.

Buzzin Lifestyle Pattaya is a mass with shops who offer all kinds of products, but aside from these, Pattaya also has it’s very own Aladdin’s Caves which once you visit, trust us, you will come out with far more than you intended buying! So, there are literally lots of these little caves to explore however the one we are talking about here is located behind Big C along Second Road in the heart of Pattaya. This has to be one of, if not, the biggest one around locally, and has thousands and thousands of products available. Yes literally everything from screws to cups to ornaments, fishing rods, plates, beds, vendor sales booths, glasses, electrical goods, power and hand tools in fact just about everything, if you were a market trader back home you would be in your glory with so

much to buy and sell on. In true Thai tradition the prices they ask are not only reasonable they are damn right inexpensive! Yes some of these products may, well lets just say, struggle to pass the test of time, however, in general you’re getting an absolute “billy bargain”. Buzzin paid a visit and came away with a great BBQ set, cutlery, plates, wok and a few other items and had change out of 1,500baht, now that IS a bargain! So, head down to Second Road, squeeze behind the Big C store and take a look, you can’t miss the place, it’s huge! Please don’t blame us here at Buzzin when you end up buying everything and more, as it really is easy to get quickly carried away! But rest assured, if you love shopping here in Pattaya then this place will have you absolutely BUZZIN!

Bangkok’s Ghost Tower The Sathorn Unique skyscraper is among the major construction projects started when Thailand’s economy was booming in the 1990s. Developers envisaged a city of gleaming offices and residential skyscrapers that were to be a testament to the nation’s rapid development. Then Thailand sank into a swamp of reckless investments and unpaid debts that became known as the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. The country’s economy contracted 10% in 1998 and many of the building projects came to a crashing halt, including this 49-storie tower. Many towers have finally come to completion and construction is continuing, however many broke developers are still unable or unwilling to take further action.

Sathorn Unique Tower is also located at the edge of old commercial town of Charernkrung meets the new international business zone of SilomSathorn roads. It sits on the horse-shoe bend which is considered the best places to overlook Bangkok’s grand cityscape and the charm of the Chaopraya River.” Getting to the top terrace of the building is possible, but it is absolutely not a good idea, and the structure is fragile and bares many holes in the floors. There have been many incidents in recent times as “urban exploration” has become a popular pastime for some.
The Sathorn Unique has an eerie feel, with exposed infrastructure giving it a post-apocalyptic look. According to one blogger, abandoned rooms were filled with curious objects, from mannequins to a picture of the King. Locals insist that the building is haunted. The original corporate brochure described the project somewhat differently: “Sathorn Unique Tower is our first residential project in downtown Bangkok. The tower is 49 stories with the total of 659 residential units and 54 retails, located 10

Earth Hour is Back on: 19th March (8.30pm9.30pm) In 2004, confronted with scientific findings, WWF Australia met with advertising agency Leo Burnett Sydney to “discuss ideas for engaging Australians on the issue of climate change”. The idea of a large scale switch off was coined and developed in 2006, originally under the working title “The Big Flick”. WWF Australia presented their concept to Fairfax Media, who, along with Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore agreed to back the event. The 2007 Earth Hour was held on March 31 in Sydney, Australia at 7:30 pm, local time. In October 2007 San Francisco ran its own “Lights Out” program inspired by the Sydney Earth Hour. After their successful event in October, the organisers decided to rally behind the Earth Hour being planned for March 2008.[5] Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off for one hour to make their stand against climate change.

and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square, all stood in darkness, as symbols of hope for a cause that grows more urgent by the hour. In March 2009, hundreds of millions of people took part in the third Earth Hour. Over 4000 cities in 88 countries officially switchedoff to pledge their support for the planet, making Earth Hour 2009 the world’s largest global climate change initiative. In 2010, Earth Hour was held on Saturday March 27 at 8.30pm-9.30pm and succeeded in being a global call to action to stand up, to take responsibility, and lead the global journey to a sustainable future. A record 128 countries and territories took part and iconic buildings and landmarks from Asia Pacific to Europe and Africa to the Americas stood in darkness. 2011 marked the first time that Earth Hour asked people to go beyond the hour; to think about what else we can do to make a difference, to take off some of the pressure we all place on our only planet. Every little helps, please show your support for this important event.
In 2008 Earth Hour became a global sustainability movement with more than 50 million people across 35 countries participating. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum

Squats & Fish Oil There’s a saying in health and fitness: If it can’t be fixed with squats & fish oil, you are probably going to die. Of course this is not literal, but what it means is that intelligent exercise and a healthy diet rich in Omega 3’s and vitamin D will help cut down on countless everyday complaints including depression, lower back pain, muscle / body pain, diabetes, heart disease, dry flaky skin, cognitive function, glucose intolerances, and much more. And squats are the king of exercise, while fish is a great source of important nutrients. Make sure you do them both!
