Teen Eye Magazine, the publication created entirely by and for teens, brings you their 6th issue, which centers around the idea of creating personal armor, and letting it expand to a global scale. 24 activists, poets, journalists, and artists, all >19 y.o, examined the ways which teens may create a uniform piece of armor. They asked themselves: “Is armor external or internal, predestined or created? How would one create/grow armor regardless?” The result is 140+ reactionary and candid pages celebrating beauty, unpacking isolation, and moving towards political and social resistance.
The Armor Issue features two editorials by the glorious (17 y.o) Sophia Wilson, exclusive talks with Linda Sarsour, Teddy Quinlivan, Tim Blanks, guides to freeing the nipple and analyses of capitalist fashion, intimate stories describing chronic illnesses, standing out in school, and embracing (respectively) rap, hijabs, and paganism. It was produced totally by a group of five teen girls.
