Capabilities

• Development and characterization of new materials and components (bipolar plates, coatings, electrodes) for PEMFC and low temperature electrolyser stacks (PEMWE, AWE, AEMWE).

• Control algorithms development for green hydrogen production plants to minimize the levelized cost of hydrogen (LCOH).

• Evaluation of material properties exposed to hydrogen gas (permeability, embrittlement, leaks).

• Evaluation of materials subjected to degradation in hydrogen combustion reactors.

• Development of barrier coatings against hydrogen permeability for storage tanks, compressor components and pipelines.

• Development of liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC) for hydrogen storage and transport.

• Techno-economic analysis tool to define the optimal configuration of a green hydrogen production plant to meet the hydrogen consumption profile of a given industrial application.
