Old-time holding in two suitcases from previous generations of the family, with early albums, tobacco tins, much loose postal history from 1840 2d blue onwards, envelopes within envelopes with thousands of stamps off- and on-paper, noted 1949 UPU mint set in album, vintage Stanley Gibbons approval books of mint incl. India Native States, a couple of KGV booklets seen, etc. A family-member was manager of a bank in Spennymoor and accumulated correspondence from Middle East, British Africa, Malaysia, etc. also seen pre-decimal banknotes in sequential runs. Seems to have been added to until about the 1950s. Will need a thorough investigation as anything could be here.
