Aaron and Brenda Perkins of Madison, Wisconsin built their Tennessee Log Home through their choice of builder, JG Development, Inc. in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin.

This spacious home is a custom plan. The attached garage is a great asset.

On the main floor, the ceiling height is highlighted by the rafters, 8" round logs and an open floor plan.

Thanks to the Perkins for sharing this beautiful home with us. Customer Satisfaction – Volume 4 Tennessee Log Homes – The Greatest Log Home on Earth™

Debbie and Jerry Rich of

Burnside, Kentucky share with us their lovely Lakeview. "The idea of a log home started some 30 years ago with the purchase of our first home. We said that the setting would be ideal for a log home. Many years and houses later, we have our dream home. The reality of it started with the purchase of our vacation home in l996 on the shores of beautiful Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. With retirement about 7 years away, we started going to log home shows."

The Rich's attended seminars about the construction of log homes and investigated being their own general contractor. After visiting all the booths of other log home manufacturers and gathering literature of the different styles, they narrowed it down to Tennessee Log Homes' Lakeview package. They contacted the design center at TLH and set up a time to go to Athens, TN to see the facility and tour a Lakeview home.

Steve and Nancy Alter The Alter’s built this beautiful home in Franklin, North Carolina. Relative newly weds. They have just finished putting the final touches on their new Ashland model log home. Steve has done a great job as a local building consultant for Western North Carolina, North Georgia and Northwest South Carolina.

"I have always had an interest in Log Homes while working in law enforcement. When I moved to Franklin after retiring from police work I started doing real estate and starting reviewing over 50 log home companies to see how they compared against each other. After reviewing these companies in regard to their product, their customer service, how they engineer their products as well as the product line it was easy to see that Tennessee Log Homes was far and away the better company,” Steve said.

Inset Windows eliminate the need for trim board. Because the trim is flush against the window frame, insects have no place to hide.

"Nancy's ideas that we used in the home such as the brick pavers flooring in the kitchen, tile floor for the screened porch, different types of ceiling fans, real wood Venetian blinds with knots in the wood, wood slat boards under the porches instead of lattice work and the fireplace in the master bedroom all get big responses from clients when they come to the house," Steve said as he credited his wife.

Stacked stone combined with the log mantel add up to a beautiful and warm focal point in the great room.

A floor bay was added to the master bath to accommodate the Jacuzzi tub, the Silestone counter tops and custom pine cabinets.

A fireplace was added to the master bedroom, adding warmth and ambiance to the home. Thanks for sharing, Steve and Nancy!
