Customer Satisfaction – Volume 2 Tennessee Log Homes – The Greatest Log Home on Earth™

Charlie and Linda Saulls enjoy their retreat in Idaho at the edge of a scenic lake. Having inherited the property on the lake (handed down from family grazing rights), Charlie readily acquiesced to Linda's life-long dream of having a log home.

After attending an open house of the proud

owners of a new Tennessee Log Home, they were quickly "sold" - not only on the log home package but on local representative and Tennessee Log Home Dealer, Ed Elliott.

Based loosely upon the Lakeview model, this custom home looks as if it grew from the

lake side. Because a deck would have obscured the view of the lake, Charlie opted to terrace down to the shore with boulders. Linda compares the landscaper who hand placed each boulder to "a dancer with rocks. It's like a ballet. He dropped them like a butterfly with sore feet."

The great room features a stacked stone fireplace. Located in the corner, it does not obscure the fabulous view of the lake. Charlie also extended the roof line six feet for a more dramatic look. Linda's excellent tastes are

displayed throughout the home. Prairie style details in the lighting, custom wainscoting and crafted cabinetry are a perfect compliment to Charlie's western roots.

Customer Satisfaction – Volume 2 Tennessee Log Homes – The Greatest Log Home on Earth™

Ben and Becky Potts are now full time residents of this beautiful part of the world. McCall is a small resort community nestled on the shore of beautiful Payette Lake and is known as one of Idaho's most popular resorts. The McCall area is characterized by mild summers influenced by the mountains, lakes, altitude, and latitude. In the summer months Payette Lake offers many activities including swimming, boating, water skiing, and fishing. The McCall area in general also offers bike riding, hiking, camping, fishing, and golf. Avid outdoors fans, the Potts family enjoys the accessibility of year-round sports right outside their door. Hiking, golfing, skiing, fishing and water sports round out the activities. Based loosely upon Tennessee Log Homes' Tellico model, the Potts have used their talents and creativity to make their log home one of a kind. For example, Becky wanted a spacious, lightfilled kitchen with a center island for counter space, an extra work sink and storage. Ben and his friend, Kevin hung the shaker-style hickory cabinets and he and his dad installed the hard brown maple floors and did much of the finish work. The great room features a truly functional gas log stone fireplace. Not only did the mason do a beautiful job laying the stone, Ben installed a 44" 55,000 BTU system that heats all 3,000 SF of living space. The handcrafted mantle is the "icing on the cake" for this great looking focal point.

Customer Satisfaction – Volume 2 Tennessee Log Homes – The Greatest Log Home on Earth™

"Since I was sixteen years old and saw my first log home my dream was to have one of my own," Marc Hall writes. "After purchasing property on Lake Diane in Southern Michigan some 35 years later the dream suddenly became a possibility. My wife, Renee, and I began to research different home styles to build. Renee was not at all sold on the log home idea until one day in the mail came a contest with the grand prize of a log home. Renee was impressed enough to agree to let me research some different styles and make appointments to look at some actual homes. There was no turning back. The more we looked, the more convinced I became."

"This home is so warm and homey yet bright and contemporary it changes the stereotypical description of log homes inside and out."
