Mezcal Market Global Industry Growth
The global mezcal market is projected to grow at the rate of 14.2% during the forecast period 2019 to 2023. The most common varieties of agave used for mezcal are tobalá, tobaziche, tepeztate, arroqueño and espadín, which is the most common agave and accounts for up to 90% of mezcal production across the globe. The US is the major importer of mezcal from Mexico which contributes around more than half the mezcal imports share in 2017.
