HIGHER EDUCATION

Each year, a very large number of our students continue on to higher education. Our students gain sought-after places at universities both nationally and internationally, including Russell Group institutions and Oxbridge. We believe that The Henley College provides an excellent stepping-stone to university by developing the independent learning skills, confidence and resilience required to flourish at degree level.

Finn

Student Profile

Finn achieved incredible A Level results of grades A*, A, A for English Language & Literature, French, and Classical Civilisation. In addition, she gained an A* grade for the Extended Project, and a Distinction in Applied Psychology. She also won the Education Award for Classics. “I was attracted to Henley by the wide range of subjects available, flexibility, and freedom it offered me. The College gave me a new sense of independence and confidence that I didn’t have at secondary school. I loved having the opportunity to explore subjects I’d never studied before, including Classics and Psychology. I had amazing teachers who always went above and beyond and made lessons really enjoyable.”

Finn joined the College from Langtree School and has now progressed on to study Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at Oxford University.

EMPLOYMENT

Some students prefer to enter employment straightaway when they leave College. Destinations range from full-time roles spanning a wide range of industries to Higher/ Degree Level Apprenticeships with leading organisations. We aim to equip all of our students with the skills they require to succeed at interview and beyond. After college our students have gone on to secure roles with employers including British Airways, Formula 1, KPMG, Channel 5, Cisco, the Civil Service, Citroen, Mars UK, Microsoft, the NHS, National Grid, Simpson Associates, the police force and Volvo.
