IDENTITY ART INSTALLATION
INSPIRED BY LATIN AMERICAN ARCHITECTURE
IDENTITY “THE OTHER VOICES” - LATIN AMERICA
Pictures of Modern Latin American Architecture
Latin America is constantly under the transculturation process of Western civilization. Art, design, and architecture became influential means for architects to express their beliefs in identifying Latin America’s national identity. This project portrays the intangible struggle for nationalism stemmed from the dynamic cultural collision, the fragmentations of history and the modernist European philosophies that come together to define a unique identity of Latin America. The void implies this unique recreation of national “identity.” Eladio’s brickwork and Le Corbusier’s design inspire the construction of this cardboard installation.
