In a country that still relies heavily on hydropower and coal-fired power generation to meet demand that is set to soar in the near future, Vietnam has emerged as one of the most attractive markets for large-scale LNG projects. Hirzi Iskander, Research Analyst at the EIC, discusses how LNG will be a significant part of helping to meet the growing energy demand while helping to meet its decarbonisation targets. The sector will feature heavily at EIC Connect Virtual Vietnam on 16-17 March, which is free to attend for EIC members.
