Global opportunities Operator: Sharjah National Oil Company (SNOC) Value: US$100m SNOC and partner Eni have announced a new gas and condensate discovery, Mahani-1. The well was tested and flow rates were up 50MMcf/d of lean gas. The discovery will be further assessed with additional appraisal drilling.

Operator: Bulgarian Energy Holding Value: US$7.7bn Deployment of the seventh 1GW unit at the existing Kozloduy nuclear power plant. Works will also include modernisation and life extension of units 5 and 6. Westinghouse has secured a contract to upgrade the Ovation I&C systems at units 5 and 6.
Operator: POWERCHINA & HIDCL Value: US$2.2bn A 756MW hydropower plant in Tamor of Province 1. Investment Board Nepal has signed a memorandum of understanding with Power Construction Corporation of China and Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Ltd. A feasibility study will be submitted within two years.
Operator: Masdar Value: US$600m Development of a 400MW wind farm in the Navoi region. The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and Masdar have signed an agreement to develop this project. Masdar will design, finance, build and operate the wind farm, with works to commence in Q3 2020 and commissioning in 2022.
