SPJ accomplishes Cleanup drive on Intramurals

Promoting cleanliness through initiating the clean up drive program is an initiative of Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) last January 15, 2023 at the Maputi River in Purok 6 Poblacion as a contribution to the activities in celebration of Intramurals 2023 of Compostela National High School (CNHS).

“Kasagaran mga activities na gibuhat sa Intrams kay for entertainment so nahuna-hunaan namo nga dili lang man ang tunong sa Intramurals kay puro duladula. We thought na magclean up drive during Intrams para naay contribution ang SPJ for the activities also. Intramurals has its purpose, the activities too” said by Excelle Balinas, SPJ coordinator. This program tend to continue promoting cleanliness in the environment and to teach the SPJ learners the value of caring for the nature. Aside from sports and activities held during Intrams, SPJ take action to entertain the students at the same time advocate. are still comfort rooms that are not fixed due to other priorities, perhaps, they did their best to respond to this problem immediately.

“Kailangan mag participate gyud ta sa clean up drive kay para ma lessen ang mga tambak-tambak nga basura nga makita ra nato bisan asa, in that way Kay makatabang mi para maprevent somehow Ang mga kalamidad.” said by Jade Ayala, one of the students in SPJ.

Moreover, they chose the Maputi River for their clean up drive as the bridge is recorded to overflow during rain caused by garbages. Through this program, they will be able to encourage the other students to do the same thing.

"Okay na sya, all CR are functional already," Evangeline D. Soria, grade 10 level head said as a response to the immediate action made by the school.

According to Soria, all clogged CR's are prioritized first even before the grade 10 building was abandoned. The school institute was righteous for addressing the concerns of the parents as this proves that a school is resilient and diligent to their work. The school being the role model to address liability and responsibilities if instances would occur is a testament that they will shape the students into a better and reliable citizen for the future. As the concerns are being addressed, students and parents are now COMFORTable, and they are aware that the school was able to 'read-the-ROOM'.

“Simultaneous hosting of class schedules is the ideal and the standard. While the implementation is imposed for the general safety, it does not pose general appeal. The margin for unmet competencies gets higher in this system due to internal inconveniences faced by most learners. All while overlooking mass welfare is the main concern, students are still entitled to feel the short troubles and inconvenience in this instructional framework”
