Reinforcing the skills and capabilities of the senior high school grade 12 students through work immersion that starts on May 2, 2023 in different workplaces outside the campus.

With the help of the Local Government Unit (LGU), the work immersion of the students does not have long process and expensive requirements as the teachers request to provide free requirements such as medical certificate and barangay clearance, in this way could lessen the burden of students.

Janiola, one of the factors as to why these students have poor reading ability was manifested upon almost 3 years of no in person classes.

Several reports on nonreaders in both Filipino and English have increased all-throughout the pandemic period.

"I was determined to volunteer here and extend help to the learners in order to help these thriving students and because of my passion in teaching ever since I was little," said Jean Gamalo, one of the student volunteers from Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC).

With the help of social media, Gamalo said in an interview that CNHS encourages volunteers like college students and Local Government Unit (LGU) officials to lend their time in teaching the learners how to read.

“This is a functional modality for students to learn and an avenue for them to catch up from their lackings,” she added.

Not just students can benefit from this program but somehow it helps the teachers as well,” Gamalo stressed.

She also added that this is a great way to check the students' reading and comprehension capacity after two years of being in modular lessons. The transition process is somehow difficult.

On behalf of the teachers and volunteers, CNHS immensely promotes and advocates love for reading and strongly encourages students' to learn and together beat the spiraling illiteracy.

This work immersion leads them to enhance their skills and learn about their specific field. A process to guide them to be better professionals in the near future. Eventually, the student will be exposed and be familiar with the field they are in as it will be enhancing their competence. They will fulfill and win a mission through this work immersion.

He added that to help the students who came late in school, the SSG planned to conduct the said Highway Linis not just only to teach the students about the value of time but to instill discipline and responsibility.

“It is our responsibility to educate the young learners. School is not just an institution wherein they will learn ABCs but this is also a home where they will be disciplined and treated well.

Further, the said program was was also aiming to clean highways and provide eco-friendly road to travelers. Moreover, Balidio elaborated that the program is not just intended to serve as their punishment but to promote education about how they should value nature.

On the other hand, the school is open to all community activities that will greatly contribute to the holistic development of the studentrs.

Discipline and responsibility should be worn daily thus, teachers must taught these values to thge students.
