As what was stipulated on the Article, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) prohibits the taking of photographs of individuals without their consent in certain circumstances. Section 20 of the law states that “Personal information shall not be processed without the consent of the data subject unless otherwise provided by law.” This means that taking photographs of strangers without their consent may be considered a violation
