Uniformity for Unity
Implementation of school uniforms has been gaining popularity worldwide due to its numerous benefits. By adopting a standardized dress code, schools can create a more inclusive and equal environment. The world of fashion often fosters competition and judgment among students, leading to potential issues like bullying. School uniforms eliminate this pressure by promoting unity and reducing social disparities. Additionally, I conclude that uniforms contribute to safety and security on campus by easily identifying individuals who do not belong, thus mitigating the risk of violence and other criminal activities.
Furthermore, I strongly believe that uniforms help alleviate the financial burden on parents.

Shifting towards school uniforms is a positive step towards creating a safer and more inclusive school environment. It is important to periodically review the dress code to ensure that it remains relevant and reflective of the changing times. Overall, by promoting uniformity for unity, I strongly supposed that we can create a school culture that fosters respect, discipline, and academic excellence.
Textbooks are firmly certain that light hails to bear the fastest speed of all matter, but not with Jef.
When the clock ticks at 9:30, students magnetize in a flock towards the skinny halls of the school canteen with a gameplan of purchasing the school’s best edibles. As for Jef, the rush of the event is a trigger force — abrupt as a lightning bolt, he’s out and about in the canteen stalls with a gameplan of serving his best chow at a prompt chase.
In the fast lane is where he peaks, that 15-minute margin intended for recess break calls his grace for his side duties. As a son of a canteen vendor, Jefperson Balaod, a Grade 10 learner attends to assist his mother during the reels of recess. This is no wonder, when it comes to their menu’s best-seller, Kwek-kwek!
That same, familiar vibrance of orange spheres jumpstarts Jef’s service as it pins the attention of the many. Their business thrives with this favorite Pinoy staple as it shares that sharp taste of real Filipino goodness touched with Jef’s and his mother’s twist! Bundle by bundle, their kiosk is full within a few moments from the initial ring of the recess bell, hinting the mass crave for their Kwek-kwek delight.
Though usually settled in congested chambers, he gladly operates in these terms as it exchanges profit beneficial for his family. “I don’t really mind the busy crowd, I’m already used to it. I don’t take it against any bother, otherwise, the spacious our stall, the worrisome we get from net loss.” Stressed Jef.
Acting quick-paced is his ace as the gatherings of learners are speedy as well. As to Jef, the challenge of this timecrunch acts as his teacher that coaches him to work efficiently under other circumstances that demands the same ratio of no-delay and real speed. Most similarly with his due assignments and school projects, the aspects of efficient time management and ideal skill concentration are put into great consideration for these are acquired manners from Jef’s time spent during his recess sidelines.
Jef could have dedicated his time delving into digital hobbies that are popular amongst his peers like playing Mobile Legends or participate into the latest dance craze taking storm in Tiktok, yet Jef remained reserved with his mature understanding towards their business venture and paused on any inlets of peer FOMO. His persistence to continue his work of aid is truly a pleasant sight to see.
Goal-orientation is the universal determinant to reap the rewarding lumps of labor, and Jef learned it the 15-minute way. By lending help to his mother, he takes shape in bodying commitment and support. Simple in its form, his Kwek-kwek vending bridges a macro effect on his daily functions as it is a two-tailed advantage pole, as the act helps his mother and the
Beyond the academic realm, Jef is likewise an achiever to other surfaces. At some point, it may appear as though rigid, but short minutes to a learner like Jef, he’s bound to curate productivity. Kwek-kwek, tiny orange balls that pay you minimum change, much to pay the cost of Jef’s routinely canteen marathon in his own brand, prepared with a charge of keenness.

Up above, is the staggering stone carved in respect of the National Hero. A depiction of Dr. Jose Rizal, who defended the Filipino generations from the surge of extermination exactly 133 years ago. Below, are the generations of he who safeguarded during his lifetime, hands over their heads, eyes shut closed. At a chorus of fear, one mirrors that a modern hero, gelled with no restraint, led her fellows against what is yet, another surge of parallel extermination.
Like a tornado of collective fright, the school heard echoes of terror in its corridors. A dramatic face was let lived at the grounds of CNHS where students scream for their lives in the chilling midst of an acute Earthquake that lasted a few moments-short for further ruins. Wrecked in emotional distress, CNHS sounded eerie, except for she, who stood mighty.
Carrying the weight as a forefront commando is an intimidating position to take and a pair of wide shoes to fit, albeit, it’s no cause for misfit. Though falling into the petite category, her physique is no deficiency as her vigor for genuine leadership under intense pressure is already a tall feat to defeat.
This Grade 10 SPJ learner spearheaded the evacuation tail of her section under intimate monitoring of every individual. Caught in the untimely corruption of the earthquake, Angel Maceda is urged to allow the manifestation of camaraderie and leadership through her initiation. Taking a leap of faith in the scenario, she took vulnerability as though only a state of mind and carried on with her quest.
Similar to the primary conduct of our heroes’ honor are the selfless and attested concern for mass welfare, such is where Angel Maceda’s dignity also lies. At the height of the panic and spiral of confusion, Angel withstood teases of cowardice and took the baton of leading her classmates to safe arenas.
A mega 5.9 Magnitude Earthquake shook the disposition of the masses as the sudden occurrence of the event accentuated the humble afternoon of March 7, 2023. Even then, Angel presents herself unfazed by the happening as her steadfast character ignites her spirit over taking her underlying creeps. This heroic attribute dawned the safety and wellbeing of everyone thanks to her uncontested will.
The dynamic of Angel’s outstanding superintendence overthrew the crippling spook injected by the unfortunate circumstance. Shedding light to the dark atmospheres and symbolized hope in the form of solid appeal.
Not all heroes are preserved in hard carved stones as homage to their celebrated influence, for some, a still photograph speaks volume to the highlights of their valiant community efforts. Many consider her as a modern hero, for when at the wake of the quake, are they adorned by an Angel (Maceda) here on earth.

Dear Papa,
Are you busy?
I hope you’re free. I’m outside, beneath the shades of green, from the same tree you were lying back in ‘03. Blowing are the conditioners of fresh air, you told me it’s good for the lungs, I feel comfy here, genuine, and happy, can I stay here for a while?
Why is that?
You’re arching your brows yet again. Did it bother you? So much of a memory to baffle you, huh. Again, with the reoccurring scenes of the past you subconsciously rewind does it suggest you haven’t moved on. Was it me?
Did it scare you?
When the lines were two. Perhaps it showed itself as a shock to you. Surprise! Though a smile didn’t curve your lips, it drowned instead. Because at that moment you knew, all weren’t just through.
Down I go.
It wasn’t easy for you, I know. Need not to tell a lie, I heard a cry. You were bound to call me by your name, too bad, the opportunity might have slipped, it missed. Then goes a deep sigh, a little teary and shy.
You were selfless for catering my future into a thoughtful perspective. Thank you for not bringing me into a world under harsh turns and scarce terms. For actually putting me first, knowing the situation , that I’ll grapple too.
But the strings don't end here. Let's keep in touch. I’ll visit you in your dreams, and write you mails for us to share in these sheets of paper parts. Now Finish your pending assignments, they are almost due. Keep

Going back to reality, we almost tripped because of the hump. That was when my reflection stopped. I scanned my surroundings and realized that I was near my destination. When I got there, I hopped off his trisikad. I was about to hand him my fare when I noticed his slightly burnt calloused hand. I was about to say thank you when he gave me the 10peso change. I swiftly told him, “Diha rana tay”. And he replied in his weak voice, “Ayaw ra gang, diyes-pesos raman jud pliti basta trisikad”

Navigating through the crammed maze of hesitant daze, birthed the assembly of a passion project that resonated with her state of affairs and woes. Mustering the valor that spined the backbone of her vision was the ground of her glittering pasarela walk. Alongside with the glamor of the other bets, the stage set ablaze with the fiery charm and long perspective, where beauty and grit comes undivided.
At the very stage of Ginang ng Davao de oro, evinced the testament of her response to community issues. Speaking up and amplifying the possibility of literary rescue.
“Write for a Single Right,” led by CNHS’ Special Program in Journalism Coordinator, Ma’am Excell Visitacion-Balinas, took the pageant not only for its gleam but for a purpose — of stretching her advocacy. Project Journalism on the Go (JOG) pans the limelight to sole mothers. With the project pointing focus as to empowering Single Moms through Journalism and Media Literacy, Project JOG appeals to widening the safe havens of single mothers in the community.
Project JOG, wasn’t a point of singularity, but took compilations of arranged ideals to the exposition that it is today. Emancipating marginalized women and encouraging them in the name of Journalism.
The project is in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd) with partner journalists writing articles about women empowerment. The project is also amplified through the booms and speakers of tapped local radio stations where Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) students can hold their immersions, broadcasting segments about news and current affairs as well as a comprehensive tackle on women empowerment.
“My main purpose is to create a community wherein all single mothers will be loved and respected because the path they are traveling is not simple,” Balinas shared. As a single mother herself, the unsaid discrepancy and unfair judgment towards parents like her are common observations exercised in the community. And as a woman with dignity and grace, Balinas aims to rehabilitate the customary and break walls from within, for “it is a path fitted only for the strong.”
A path only made for the strongest of faith. Providing space spaces for women her age. Celebrating motherhood for bearing the weight twice the accustomed marriage. Her story is a testament that single parenthood are not for the weak. Indeed, an EXCELLent pedagogue. Words are futile devices. Welcoming the age of inclusivity champions the purpose of change. Reconditioning the essence of literary texts for a significant cause, banks on the benefit of everyone. Single mothers are unsung heroes that hold the cradle of the future and the upcoming. It is of great privilege to witness and contribute to this chain — of curing insecurity.

IT girls never excepts on their bag; no buts, no ifs, it’s no question why it’s never compromised. As the adage goes, behind every IT girl is an IT bag. Here, we take an exploration of interest as we raid the essential treasures inside the prized bags of CNHS’ learners
Imagine being crammed by school work-stress, what best mirrors these unfortunate events are Wour looks, particularly the lips! Dry and dull, comes the desperate need for a little lovin’. I mean, there’s nothing a red lip can’t fix.
Alike with ovens are our classrooms, especially during the March-May climate, like barbeques, we're roasted! But for IT girls, they only consider themselves as Barbies, so to uphold that, a nice breezy zephyr gives them a barbie-licious glow!
Pens may be less durable materials but it is sharp enough to draw the line between dire and quality, G-tech point pens are supreme. IT girls abide by the standard, and a G-tech is no question.
Have you ever wondered why IT girls have flawless, untouchable skin? If anything, getting sunburnt is like a cardinal sin, thus a sunscreen is non-negotiable. It’s the secret code for that youthful and alluring luxe!
Health (Aquaflask) is of paramount importance. Among the aforementioned items, hydration is the forefront concern of any school attendee, and IT girls are never late to this usual. While any water bottle would serve you well, an insulated tumbler gives you all the glory of hydration while achieving eco-sustainability all at once with the same gulp.
Hair is not anymore the girls’ crowning glory - it is now Eyebrows. We cannot go out without an on fleek Kilay others may fail but not my eyes that could kill
