PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS PRESENTED AT THE OPENING NIGHT OF LISTOWEL WRITERS’ WEEK

The ballroom of the Listowel Arms Hotel was the setting for the awards ceremony that marked the opening of the 2023 edition of Listowel Writers’ Week, the oldest literature festival in Ireland. The Kerry Group Irish Novel of the Year Award, with a prize of €20,000 for the winner, brought excitement and celebration for Aingeala Flannery with her novel, The Amusements, published by SANDYCOVE, Penguin Random House.

Judges Patrick Gale and Manveen Rana said, “We had such a hard time choosing a winner from a fantastically strong shortlist. I believe a bookseller could put any of these novels into a reader’s hands with the words, “Trust me, you’ll love it,” but we felt Aingeala Flannery’s painfully funny first novel, The Amusements, was arrestingly original in its layered portrayal of a community at once tight and divided.”

Catherine Keogh, Chief Corporate Affairs and Brand Officer of Kerry Group presented the award to Aingeala. Catherine Keogh commented: “We wish to extend our congratulations to Aingeala and all the authors shortlisted for this prestigious award. This year’s shortlist was exceptional and we at Kerry are proud to work with Listowel Writers’ Week to celebrate this extraordinary talent.”

Chair of the Board of Writers’ Week said, “We are delighted for Aingeala and her wonderful debut novel, The Amusements. On behalf of everyone at Writers’ Week, we would like to congratulate her and all the shortlist on their success. As always, there was a wonderful selection of Irish novels to choose from. Thanks to our loyal sponsors, Kerry Group for helping us continue to promote Irish Literature and to the adjudicators, Patrick and Manveen for selecting a worthy winner”.

The Pigott Poetry Prize is generously sponsored each year by Mark Pigott, KBE, Chairman and Chief Executive of PACCAR Inc. Mark’s family originated from Listowel and emigrated to the United States in the late 1890s. The Prize is for a single volume of poetry and was presented to Tom French, with a prize of €12,000. His book, Company, is published by Gallery Books, and judges were Martin Dyar and Clodagh Beresford Dunne.

The John B. Keane Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Stephen Rea by Seamus O’Hara; Stephen Rea and Seamus O’Hara are among those set to take part in a gala reading of The Translations of Seamus Heaney on the first day of programmed events.

Ciara Sugrue, Head of Festivals at Fáilte Ireland said: “Festivals and events are a key element of the tourism offering in Ireland, and Fáilte Ireland is pleased to support this year’s Listowel Writers Week, which will showcase the very best of Irish arts, heritage and culture to domestic and international visitors. Developing unique and immersive visitor experiences like Listowel Writers Week plays an important role in the recovery of the tourism sector for the county and the wider Wild Atlantic Way region. Festivals like Listowel Writers Week create new and compelling reasons for visitors to explore Ireland and experience first-hand our world-famous arts and culture. They have the ability to drive footfall for local businesses, which in turn generates revenue and supports jobs in communities and revenue generation.”

“AMBULANCE DELAYS RESULTING IN FATALITIES – FORAN

“Increased Central Funding required to stop drain of talent”

Aontú Representative for Kerry Sonny Foran has said that the delays in getting an ambulance to patients is placing lives in peril and is resulting in an increase in fatalities by the time the ambulance has reached them.

• The average response time for ambulances across the country has increased steadily year on year since 2019.

• Correlating with these statistics the number of times a person was dead by the time the ambulance reached them has also increased massively year on year since 2019.

• In 2022, nationally, 34% of ambulances (103,000) took more than an hour to hand over a patient in a hospital. The highest percentage figure since 2019.

I have been told of cases where an ambulance trolley is brought into hospital with the patient but due to a lack of available hospital trolleys the ambulance trolley remains in use in the hospital for a period of time meaning the ambulance is stationary and cannot respond to other calls. The number of times ambulances have had to wait in hospital for more than an hour as they hand over a patient is a serious cause for alarm.

• Better pay and conditions for nurses and staff in the hospital, and indeed for people working for the National Ambulance Service, will entice people to stay working in the health service, and hopefully go some way towards slowing the pace of youth emigration which is now becoming a more and more attractive option for ambulance personnel and medical graduates.

CAROLINE’S DÓTERRA ESSENTIAL OILS

CAROLINE’S POD OF POSITIVITY

Welcome to my weekly column. My name is Caroline and as a certified DóTERRA essential oil specialist I have been delighted to help, guide and support so many people along with their friends and families throughout North Kerry and West Limerick on their essential oil journey. I know how these Oils can support the Body, the Mind and the Mood and each week I’ll be sharing lots information on Self-Care, Wellness, Love and Gratitude when using your DóTerra essential oils as part of your every day routine.

Exam Time – Your Go-To Oil

This week I want to share some tips for exam students on what essential oils to use to get through the next week of exams while remaining calm and focused.

Peppermint – This is fantastic oil for keeping the mind focused and increasing awareness. It can soothe anxious feelings and help ease nausea. Diffuse or inhale Peppermint when you are feeling tired.

Lavender – A great oil to diffuse in your bedroom at night to help you sleep. In the morning you can add a drop to your shirt collar to allow you inhale it throughout the day and remain calm. dóTerras Lavender oil is a great support to anyone who experiences anxiety or prone to panic attacks. One drop of Lavender under the tongue will stop a panic attach immediately.

On Guard – A must to be diffused also in the home and boost the immune system to keep healthy.

Deep Blue – An oil that is most used and loved by all generations in sport, and a relief oil for sore and achy muscles. I like to use this one when mixed with a carrier oil or in a roller bottle and apply across the back of the shoulders to soothe tension or tightness and / or even on the hands and fingers from excesses writing or typing.

My Three Way Method Using DóTerras Oils: Topically: Apply the oils onto your skin particularly on the pulse points and soles of the feet.

Aromatically: Place two to three drops into a cold-water diffuser and diffuse the oils in your home, classroom, office space, salons or other places of work and business.

Internally: Add the oils to your favourite food, waters and drinks, or simply take one drop daily under the tongue to support your body and mind.

If you need support with your Health and Wellness reach out to me as it is now my duty as one of Irelands recognised top wellness advocates to bring forth the information of the oils with their life enhancing benefits to everyone and support you in your journey one drop, one person, one community at a time.

UPDATE ON THE PLANNING PERMISSION FOR THE SHANNON LNG PROJECT. CLLR. MICHAEL FOLEY

Cllr. Michael Foley has received a response from An Bord Pleanala giving an update on the planning permission for the Shannon LNG project.

“As stated in the letter the Board has considered the case and hereby notifies that it has decided to determine the application without an oral hearing. In this regard, the Board has absolute discretion to hold an oral hearing and has concluded that this case can be dealt with adequately through written procedure.”

“I made contact with Niamh Thornton, Executive Officer, An Bord Pleanala, for further clarification. She advised me that the Inspector will now make contact with the applicant (Shannon LNG) to respond in writing to the submissions on the application. Of which there are approximately 67. On receipt of this response the Inspector will pass the application onto the Board for decision.”

“I welcome the advancement of the application. However, it is now time the Board made a decision as soon as possible as it has been going through the planning process for an excessive length of time. A successful outcome would ensure the development of the Tarbert/Ballylongford Landbank and future development of the Shannon Estuary. While providing sustainable employment for North Kerry resulting in a thriving local economy.”

SAN RITA WELLNESS

Welcome to San Rita Wellness weekly column…We hope you are safe and well

Do you feel that every day is the same?

Imagine if everybody was the same, for example looked the same, ate the same food, enjoyed the same music, walked the same way, talked the same and dressed the same, wouldn’t life be very boring.

So let’s look at things from a different angle: Different Lifestyles…

Young mums or dads at home with children, full or part time workers, office or manual workers, people who work away from home and people who work from home, retired people ... No matter which of the above you slot into, these are different types of lifestyles but yet we may all be aiming to achieve the same outcome .

Our ethos at San Rita Wellness is the following : “Eat Well , Feel Well, Live Well”

Different food preferences or requirements… On our San Rita Wellness plan no food is off limits so whether you are vegetarian, vegan, faddy eater, plain eater or gluten intolerant you can still eat healthily and enjoy the foods you love while still feeling in control. Remember you have the freedom to choose your foods your way once it all fits into your calorie allowance.

Different exercise needs and choices… Active or inactive, sporty people, people who hate exercise, younger people, older people, again we are all different and move at a different pace . But at the end of the day it is important that we enjoy what we do but we all want the same result which is to feel healthier and fitter.

Different ways of losing weight… New to losing weight, seasoned dieters, people who like rules and structure, people who want maximum flexibility, whichever you are, our San Rita Wellness plan will suit you. We know we all lose weight differently and at a different pace but the thing to remember is once it’s working for you “ It’s Working “

Different weight loss challenges… We all face different challenges but you are not alone. A challenge sometimes needs to be challenged, whether that means learning to cook simple dishes, breaking down your weight loss goals , give suggestions to the person preparing your meal, or planning ahead for your upcoming social occasions..

Different expectations… Thinking it will be easy , not believing you can do it, happy to lose weight steadily or want results fast. Again we all have different expectations but we also have to be realistic. Weight loss and Wellness happen over time by being patient with yourself ,believing in yourself and understanding that if you were to continue doing the same thing all the time , you will always get the same result.

THE WAGER

On 28th January 1742, a ramshackle vessel of patched-together wood and cloth washed up on the coast of Brazil. Inside were thirty emaciated men, barely alive, and they had an extraordinary tale to tell. They were survivors of His Majesty’s ship the Wager, a British vessel that had left England in 1740 on a secret mission during an imperial war with Spain. While chasing a Spanish treasure-filled galleon, the Wager was wrecked on a desolate island off the coast of Patagonia. The crew, marooned for months and facing starvation, built the flimsy craft and sailed for more than a hundred days, traversing 2,500 miles of storm-wracked seas. They were greeted as heroes.

Then, six months later, another, even more decrepit, craft landed on the coast of Chile. This boat contained just three castaways and they had a very different story to tell. The thirty sailors who landed in Brazil were not heroes – they were mutineers. The first group responded with counter-charges of their own, of a tyrannical and murderous captain and his henchmen. While stranded on the island the crew had fallen into anarchy, with warring factions fighting for dominion over the barren wilderness. As accusations of treachery and murder flew, the Admiralty convened a court martial to determine who was telling the truth. The stakes were life-and-death—for whomever the court found guilty could hang.

Therefore, we would appeal to you to drop off any items of clothing you no longer need and also spread the word amongst your acquaintances. A big thank you to all who contributed to our last collection which was a great success. Clothes can be dropped in the shelter here at the school on the evening of the 14th June or from early morning to 10.00am on June 15th.

GOLF CLASSIC

In 2022, Tralee Parnells was granted a 13 year licence for the use of the GAA pitch at the Tralee Sports Complex in Oakpark for our Academy players – “Pairc na Darach”. In order to upgrade the pitch at Pairc na Darach to make it suitable for playing hurling and camogie, we need to invest a substantial amount of money – already the club has invested substantially to provide ball-stops, nets, landscaping and sanding. Further funding is required to complete the work so our young hurlers and camogie players can display their skills on a top-quality playing surface in a safe environment. To this end, we are running our inaugural Golf Classic in Beaufort Golf Club on Friday July 21st next. We would be delighted if GAA clubs would consider sponsoring a team – a team of 4 costs €200 to enter. There are alternative sponsorship options also available. Of course, Tralee Parnells would be delighted with support of any kind that you might be in a position to offer. Your support would be very much appreciated.

100 YEARS AND COUNTING

Heartiest congratulations to Maureen Sweeney, nee Flavin of Knockanure and Mayo. May she have many more years of good health. The story of Maureen is an incredible story and well worth recalling. This piece is from irishamerica.com. On June 3, 1944 Maureen Flavin turned 21, on the same day she also changed the course of history with the meteorological information she recorded while working as a post office assistant. During World War II, Maureen, who hails from Knockanure, County Kerry was working overnight in Blacksod, County Mayo, when she completed one of her daily tasks at 1:00am, examining the air pressure and barometer readings and reporting them to the meteorological office in Dublin. The readings indicated that a major Atlantic storm was coming to this remote part of Ireland and would blow right across Western Europe. What Maureen didn’t know was that this information, from the most westerly station in Europe, was being sent to the Headquarters of the Allied Expeditionary Force, in England, and would land on the desk of United States Four Star General Dwight D. Eisenhower who was then Supreme Commander of the combined allied forces.Late in the morning of June 3, a phone call came to the post office in Blacksod and when Maureen answered, a lady with a distinct English accent spoke to Maureen and requested her to “Please Check. Please Repeat!” the Met report. Maureen then called Edward “Ted” Sweeney (her future husband) who checked her readings and confirmed: “Yes’ the barometer is dropping rapidly and a storm is coming.” This affirmation convinced the meteorologists in General Eisenhower’s office that it was wise to postpone Operation Overlord or what later became known as D-Day for 24 hours, and that the allies should stand down all associated activities until the weather cleared, and this break in the weather, which Maureen also reported, allowed the invasion to go ahead on June 6. The Sweeney family, Ted, his mother Margaret and sister Frances, together with Maureen, had been reporting on the hour, twenty-four hours a day, to the Meteorological Service in Dublin for the length of World War II. This hourly reporting continued until an automatic meteorological station was brought into operation in Belmullet in 1956. Only then, in 1956, did the now husband and wife couple, Ted and Maureen, learn about the history-changing events that their met reports had contributed to in 1944. When John J. Kelly, who led the design and production of the Navy’s modern landing craft, which has been used in military and humanitarian roles worldwide, heard about Maureen Sweeney, he decided that this story had to be told. John requested Eoin O’Hagan, his friend, based in Clare, to research Maureen Sweeney and her story. Eoin interviewed Vincent Sweeney (Maureen’s son) who told the story in-depth, as well as providing photographs as evidence. Kelly then approached the World War II Museum in New Orleans, LA, of which he was a director, and presented the recording and photographs to them, while requesting official recognition of Maureen and the Sweeney family by the museum.

DEATHS

The death took place of Margaret Carmody, nee O’Reilly of Sloatsburg and Tuxedo, New York and formerly of Drumbad, Gortletteragh, County Leitrim. Requiem Mass for Margaret, who died on 24 May in New York, aged 83 years took place in St Mary’s Church, Tarbert on Thursday 1 June. The Mass was celebrated by Fr Michael Hussey assisted by Fr Philip O’Connell. At the beginning of Mass Fr. Hussey thanked Andy Carmody, husband of the deceased for his gift of vestments to Tarbert parish. Her brother Cathal spoke of his sister growing up in rural County Leitrim emigrating to New York in 1967, working in the hospitality trade meeting Andy Carmody also working in the bar business. They were married in 1972 and in later years they opened their own bar business. Margaret always had a welcome for everybody and looked out for them. Margaret had a great love of animals, particularly greyhounds and horses. ‘Reilly’s Joy’ a prize greyhound of hers won five or six races stateside while her other favourite ‘Drumbad’ won the Kingdom Cup at the Kingdom Race Track in Tralee. Her racehorse ‘Seapoint’ won against the odds in New York. In recent years health issues caused her to have ongoing medical care. Her chief carer was her husband Andy and after 51 years of married life together, the end came for Margaret. Cantor Declan Downey led St Mary’s Choir in hymns in Latin, Irish and English including ‘Our Lady of Knock’. As her heavy mahogany casket was processing down the aisle, John Dowling sang ‘Lovely Leitrim’ and interment took place beside the Resurrection Monument in St. Mary’s New Cemetery. The funeral arrangements were very professionally handled by Tomás Coolahan, Funeral Director. Sympathy of the community is extended to her husband Andy, her sister Nancy in New York, her brother Cathal in Castleknock, Dublin, the extended Carmody family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Her husband Andy returned to New York on 7 June.

The death also took place of Michael Carmody, Trieneragh, Duagh who died tragically following an accident on Monday 29 May. Requiem Mass for Michael took place in St Brigid’s Church, Duagh followed by burial in St Michael’s Cemetery, Listowel.

BEALE GAA

Beale seniors top the table and promotion is in our sights, as we recorded an important win over neighbours, Ballyduff, on Sunday in the County League, Division 4. Both teams meant business and little separated them on the field of play and the scoreboard for most of the game, as the teams were level six times. A win here would put us top of the table, while our opponents were hoping to avoid slipping down the table.

We added to our winning streak, on a score line of 1-14 to 0-13. Ballyduff hit the ground running and provided the early dominance on the scoreboard. We found it hard to settle and they were four points to the good before we struck our first point in the fifteenth minute. We levelled within the next five minutes. The teams exchanged points and we went in at the short whistle just one point adrift, 0-7 to 0-8.

We levelled again from the throw-in, and it was tit for tat as the teams exchanged further points. We had the edge by two points after twenty minutes when we raised the green flag to put us in driving seat. Victory was ours with four points to spare at the final whistle.

Beale team lined out as: Joe Downey, Joe Finch, Shane Joy, Podge Holly, Daithí Toomey, Fionnán Toomey (capt), Conor Toomey, Neilus Mulvihill, Phillie Blake, Robert Stack, Eric Daly, Barry O’Neill, Shane O’Connor, Ian Mannix and Darragh Buckley. Substitutes: Jack O’Sullivan for Shane Joy, Diarmuid O’Mahony for Podge Holly, Jack Mallon for Shane O’Connor, Tommy O’Neill, Rory Mulvihill, Andrew O’Connor, Darragh Hanrahan, Conor Breen, Niall Downey, Colm Carolan, Darragh Kissane, Aaron Kelly and Ronan Cross.

With twelve points on the board, we have it all to play for. As only two points separate the top five teams, a very exciting finale is in store in the three remaining games of the league. Our next game is on Saturday in Páirc de Staic against Cordal, who are just three points behind us. Throw in for this game is at 7 o’clock.

We await details of our trip to Renard for our first-round game of the County Junior Championship. Other teams in our group are Kilgarvan and Knocknagoshel.

Having won the North Kerry League final in 2022, Beale juniors have been promoted to Division 3. Our first-round game is on 20th June against St Senans B in Ballybunion. Other teams in this division are Emmets B, Moyvane B, Brosna B and Desmonds B. Games scheduled each week from end of June.

The Beale Lotto draw took place in The Golf Club on Monday night. Numbers drawn were 4, 7, 29 and 30. The Lotto jackpot was not won and there were two Match-3 winners, Peg Rohan and Jed Moynihan, who each won €50. The winner of 5 Free tickets was Eamonn Clancy. This week’s Lotto jackpot is €3,550. Draw takes place in The Railway Bar on Monday at 9 o’clock. A huge ‘míle buíochas’ to everyone who supports and promotes the Beale Lotto. Tickets, €2 each or 3 for a fiver, may be bought online and are available in Joyce’s Newsagents and in the local pubs. Terms and conditions apply.

The sun shone brightly on our Annual Beale GAA Golf Classic on June Bank Holiday Monday. A fantastic day’s golf was enjoyed by all on the Cashen Course.

Congratulations to winning team who were kindly sponsored by Stephen Linnane, Liosdoire Computers Ltd. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all participants, sponsors and Ballybunion Golf Club for hosting our classic.

It was all action at Páirc de Staic last Saturday morn. Our young stars of the future practised their skills in the glorious sunshine. Children aged from under-5 to under-9 were put through their paces by their training teams.

We also welcomed visiting cyclists on a charity run from New Castle West. The Better Life Cycle Tour were on a fundraiser cycle through North Kerry and West Limerick for St Joseph’s Foundation, Charleville. We are delighted to provide our facilities for their worthy cause.

CLUB FUNDRAISING: The club is in the process of launching a new fundraising initiative called the ‘Finuge 500’. This will see a monthly draw for €500 cash with entry costing €5 for each month. The prize of €500 must be won each month - there are no carry overs or roll overs! Watch out for further details as we get closer to the time!! These funds will be used to help run the club and cover the day-to-day costs of keeping the club open. The proceeds of the large car raffle fundraiser which the club ran last year are being used to fund capital projects such as the development of the juvenile pitch, upgrade the general facilities and improve the pitch - such as was done over the past month. The

KERRY DEVELOPMENT SQUADS: It has been a great source of pride and satisfaction lately to see our various youth players commencing or continuing with the Kerry development squads. At Kerry U14 we have three players selectedJamie Breen, Joseph McElligott and Mathew Flaherty. The U14 activity started last weekend when the squad went to Kildare and played a series of games against the home county. At Kerry U16 level Gavin O’Keeffe continues on his track with the county squad - last weekend they travelled to play Mayo. Well done and congratulations to the players selected - it is a great endorsement of the club coaches, your families and yourselves for this achievement.

KERRY PITCH & PUTT

Kerry’s interest in the 2023 National Mens Matchplay Championship came to an end at the Second Round stage of the competition on Sunday morning in St Bridgets in Kilcullen, Co Kildare.

Tralee trio Gavin Carroll, Jason O’Regan and Michael Conway had all made it through Saturday morning’s play along with Listowel’s Chris Gibney Jnr but they all fell at the same hurdle a day later. Gavin came the closest to making it to Round 3 being defeated at the second tie hole by Bruff’s Liam O’Donovan after he had started on Saturday with victory over another Bruff player in Martin Keohane by 2&1.

There was hardly anything to separate both Gavin and Liam throughout their encounter on Sunday but it came down to the 38th hole which the Bruff player won to advance to the Last 16. Jason O’Regan was defeated at the last hole 1up by Hillview’s Stephen O’Reilly as despite trailing for most of the match he was leading 1up with six holes to play before losing out at the last. Chris Gibney lost 2&1 to last year’s National Senior Strokeplay runner-up in Gary Healy from Loughlinstown, Dublin as Chris had defeated Bishopstown’s Cian O’Callaghan 4&3 in Round 1.

Michael Conway lost by 3&2 to Offaly’s William Buckley Jnr after having won an all Tralee encounter with Alan Hobbart on Saturday by 5&4. On Saturday afternoon there had been Round 1 defeats for the other three Kerry players. Deerpark’s John McGrath lost 2&1 to Kilkenny’s Kevin Knox while Tony Blake

from Tralee lost by 7&6 to last year’s runner-up John Cahill from Fermoy. Mark O’Regan was defeated 8&7 by Meath’s Padraig Mallon meanwhile as the focus over the next month will be on action inside the county.

The Bob Casey Memorial Inter-Club Strokeplay concludes in Newmarket on Tuesday evening June 13th next as the Tim Scannell Memorial Inter-Club Matchplay starts a week later on June 20th in Listowel. The County Adult Strokeplay Championships take place on Sunday June 18th in Listowel as well with the U16 event taking place in Deerpark on Saturday July 1st. Entry forms for the County Strokeplay events are now with the clubs.

MEANING OF LIFE

“He was definitely the black sheep of the family, always in some trouble....oops!! l probably shouldn’t say that, it’s not very politically correct, is it? Soon we won’t be able to open our mouth at all with all this P.C. stuff.”

We had a good giggle at the idea of the black sheep becoming redundant.... but in truth my friend wasn’t far wrong. We certainly have to think twice these days, in case we unwittingly cause offence to someone.

THE MIRACLE PRAYER

Dear Heart of Jesus in the past I have asked many favours.

This time I ask you this special one, (mention favour). Take it dear heart of Jesus and place it within your heart where your father sees it. Then in his merciful eyes it will become your own favour not mine. Amen.

Say this prayer three times for three days and your favour will be granted. Never been known to fail. Must promise publication of prayer. D.C.

Amen.

It set me thinking.

As a bible believing Christian l try (and often fail) to live according to God’s word as outlined in the bible. And this is often contrary to the standards of the world that surrounds us. For example in Isaiah 5:20-21 God says ...”woe to those who call evil good and good evil; Who put darkness for light and light for darkness;....”

Romans 1:25...”..... who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever. Amen.”

To quote from an article titled Politically Incorrect Jesus by Joe Battaglia “Jesus was inclusive when He welcomed ALL the weary and the burdened to come to Him and experience the love of His Father.” But He wasn’t willing to change God’s message just because some didn’t appreciate the truths He told. He didn’t sugar coat the Gospel.

Being a follower of Jesus l may not willingly attempt to hurt anyone with my words, since Ephesians 4:29 reminds me. “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouth but only such as is good for building up...”

Also Ephesians 4:1-3 tells me to “walk in a manner worthy of a follower of Christ and treat others with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing one another in love...”

Personally I think the world is a crazy place these days. And for that reason l love the sanity of God’s Word, which He has spoken to us “......that in Him we may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer, l (Jesus) have overcome the world. “ John 16:33

I’m so grateful that as a follower of Jesus l know ”our citizenship is in Heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who will, by the power that enables Him, bring everything under His control.” Philippians 3:20-21

As a follower of Jesus, the question l need to ask myself in any given situation is... am l choosing to be politically correct or biblically correct?
