The individual spirit or Jivatma takes birth for a purpose ascertained by the law of karma and the Sun will provide the resources for the accomplishment of the ordained karma.
Vijaya Subramanian is a Vedic astrologer based in London. She obtained the certificate of Jyotisha Pandita after studying Parasara Hora Sastra with her Guru Sanjay Rath. She has been a member of BAVA since 2004 and is a regular speaker at their conference.
In Vishnu Puruna it is said that Sun traverses around the zodiac creating the 12 rasis destroying darkness and ignorance. The 12 rasis are presided by adityas and they carry the triple energy (three vedas) of the ultimate preserver of the universe Vishnu, who is known as the Purusha, the cosmic spirit. The Karnataka elections have become the talk of the town throughout the country. 224 assembly constituencies have to be contested across Karnataka, and 113 seats are needed to get a majority. This election has been the most watched, tracked, discussed and debated election. The major parties are going all out to make sure no stone is left unturned to garner the votes. From blame game to division of caste to mudslinging, the political parties have done it all. What is disappointing for me was the very fact that no one is talking about development or at the least, securing basic necessities like quality drinking water, round-theclock power supply, affordable basic food supplies, improvement in the quality of education, and better infrastructure facilities designed for easy access by senior citizens and differently challenged. In September 2017, our Raman and Rajeswari Research Foundation conducted a one day seminar on Vedic Astrology and Current Affairs. The central theme for the day was Karnataka Elections 2018.
