Reaching More Generations When AIM was founded in 1982, most Members were part of the Baby Boomer generation (born 1946-1964) and for those of you who don’t know, after the Baby Boomers came “Gen X” (born 19651980) and now the “Millennials” (born 1981-1996). If you are a business builder, you have the opportunity to position your business to tap into the millions of young people in this generation. By positioning yourself in front of this generation, you have the potential to explode your business. Most millennials are disillusioned with the lifestyle led by their parents, who at times have sacrificed relationships and sometimes their health in order to work long and hard hours towards their retirement. In fact, a survey conducted by Deloitte revealed that 66% of millennials plan on leaving the workforce by 2020 because they want to do it differently. They want to make an impact on the world and live a life of purpose. At the same time, this generation embraces the Direct Selling Industry with open arms. To sum it up, what Millennials want is family. They want to spend time with their kids; they want to look after their health with preventative solutions and are embracing health and wellness like never before! I can’t think of a better opportunity than AIM, to meet their wants and needs. We’re at a unique time in history, where there is a perfect storm brewing. You have an

opportunity to completely change people’s lives, and in return change yours. Five years from now, you might be going to a future AIM Celebration and your life could look completely different. If you are a seasoned networker with AIM or just getting started, think about this opportunity and get to work. I am certain you’ll be thankful that you did in the years to come. For those of you who have built large businesses and are more or less retired, reaching the next generation is your insurance that your business and legacy will be passed down for generations to come. You don’t want to lose what you’ve built. Reignite your passion, embrace change and transformation, set new goals again, register with fellow AIM leaders who have joined Chrysalis and become a part of the AIM business community. As we look into this exciting future, know that AIM is never going to lose their unique culture or who they are as a company. AIM is a family, a community of like-minded people, and it will always feel like home to you. This culture is firmly rooted in serving others, embracing all generations, as AIM stands ready to welcome all. Presently, AIM is working harder and smarter than ever to continue providing you with the best business platform moving forward, the best innovative products, a full rebrand, a new improved website. Together with you, the AIM Members, our mission is to continue improving people’s lives as we journey confidently into the future.

The Outbreak of Psoriasis Around the world, 125,000,000 people suffer from psoriasis, a chronic skin condition that comes and goes but is never completely cured. The cause is believed to be a malfunctioning immune system.

The opposite occurs in psoriasis because T cells create chronic inflammation and the visible, unpleasant symptoms. Among patients with psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis is common and creates chronic joint pain along with the skin disorder.

Overactive T cells that normally protect the body begin attacking healthy skin cells. The result is thick, scaly, red patches of skin that can itch or burn.

In fact, inflammation has been tied to a number of debilitating conditions. Consuming foods that give the body nutritional defence to reduce inflammation has been shown to be an effective way to combat these conditions.

A psoriasis outbreak continues until this skin condition is treated. And then inflammation activates another cyclical onset.

The Inflammatory Side of Psoriasis

The T cells that are activated to help heal a cut on the skin are a vital part of the body’s inflammatory response. The redness and sensitive skin eventually disappear.

Anti-Inflammatory Greens

When you take AIM nutrition such as the juice powder of young barley plants in BarleyLife, you are giving your body concentrated greens that help to keep inflammation in balance. Greens are naturally anti-inflammatory, which is why vegetables are so important. And BarleyLife, LeafGreens and other AIM whole-food powders can be a healthy part of an anti-inflammatory diet for those with psoriasis.

No More Slouch on the Couch A Back-to-School Tale

One evening, the parents of three young children sit on their living room couch, staring ahead at nothing in particular. Mom says: I’m happily tired. Dad says: I’m finding I have no problem being a bit of a slouch on the couch. I have a confession … I’ve been drinking a lot more of the Garden Trio since the kids’ school break. At least twice the amount. Some days more. I noticed but didn’t say anything. I’m doing the same. It’s called the kids are out of school survival. I’m also doubling up, sometimes tripling the amount of the LeafGreens I usually take. It’s the only way to keep up with our active children. And we’re not even halfway through the mid-year holiday. Maybe we should water down their CoCoa LeafGreens smoothies. Do you think they would notice? I can hear them complaining as I slouch. Our kids notice everything. Are we bad parents for even considering ways to bring down their energy levels? No, we’re just a little tired. Have you also noticed that I’m marking the calendar? Yes, I can see you’re counting down the days until they go back to school. You missed a day or two, so I crossed them out for you. So you’re doing the countdown too? Yes. Definitely a bad dad. Mean mommy. Mom and dad sigh and stop talking for a moment or two. It’s getting late, but I’m getting a second wind. AIM nutrition works every time. I was just thinking the same thing. 4

Your body cannot create its own omega-3 and-6 because it lacks certain enzymes, so it is essential that these fatty acids are a daily part of your nutritional intake. Omega-3 and-6 are vital for the growth, repair and function of every cell membrane in your body and for many biological activities, including those that affect brain, heart and vision health.

Why Are Omega-3 and -6 Essential Fatty Acids?

AIMega’s Organic Cold Pressed Virgin Oils Flaxseed The amber oil from crushed flax seeds provides an incredibly rich source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), better known as omega-3.

Sesame Seed Flavorful sesame seeds produce an oil that contains a healthy source of the second essential fatty acid: omega-6 linoleic acid (LA).

Sunflower Seed The oil from sunflower seeds also provides a wholesome omega-6 source.

Olive Providing health benefits for thousands of years, olive oil contains both omega-6 and heart-enhancing omega-9.

The AIMega 2 to 1 Ratio Studies show that most people average a 15:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3. Taking AIMega helps to alter an imbalance. Each capsule delivers 380 mg of omega-3 and 190 mg of omega-6 for a balanced 2:1 ratio of these essential fatty acids. 5

AIM in the Palm of Your Hand Mobile phones are a worldwide presence. You see people holding these hand-held computers wherever you go, so you have to hand it to Martin Cooper, who invented the first handheld cell phone. Back in 1973, Cooper made the very first call on a cell phone that weighed 2.5 pounds (1.1 kg), measured 9 inches (23 cm) in length and discharged after only 35 minutes of use. Obviously, mobile phones have come a long way since then, growing astoundingly in convenience and usability. And for mobile devices, the AIM website is growing in convenience and usability as well.

Mobile-Friendly AIM

These days, around 60 percent of the visits to internet sites are accessed by mobile devices. So it makes sense that AIM has put so much time and effort into the technological advance of making its website mobile-friendly.

This means that when you visit www.theaimcompanies.com on your mobile device, every page of the site will be optimized for ideal viewing and accessibility. Additionally, no matter how you hold your device, the AIM website will adjust to the screen width so that you can see and access every page clearly. These are the mobile-friendly moves that AIM has made.

Para 90 provides a proprietary blend of cleansing ingredients that help to expel parasites.

The Parasite Invasion

Internal parasites are organisms that live inside the body and feed off the host, leading to the onset of disease. Two classes of these invasive, inner parasites are: Protozoa — microscopic, one-celled organisms that invade through contaminated food or water or from animal-to person or person-to person contact. Protozoa multiply in the body if left unchecked. Helminths —worms that invade when undercooked meat and fish is consumed or from fecal-oral transmission. Helminths grow in size and length over time.

Tapeworms can live in the body for years and grow up to 80 feet in length.

Summer Creativity with AIM

By Karina Gerhardt-Strachan, AIM Preferred Member, and Rica Gerhardt, AIM Director For many years, one highlight of the summer for the Gerhardt Girls has been a road trip to the AIM Celebration to meet what everybody lovingly calls “the AIM family.” One advantage of traveling by car is that we don’t need to limit luggage, and most importantly, our stash of AIM products we like to have on hand. Empty AIM containers make excellent storage for snacks wherever we go: trail mix, crackers, cookies, homemade granola, etc. Now that AIM has changed multiple labels so they can be easily peeled off, all we need to do is mark the contents. For the road trip back, our emptied snack containers serve a different purpose: super cool cooling elements in the cooler. Each morning in the hotel,

just before leaving, we fill them with ice cubes that are usually available at the machines. Voila! Whatever we like to keep cool is taken care of. Empty AIM containers also came in handy at the recent AIM Celebration in Orlando. The beautiful centerpieces at the Gala Dinner were gifted to those members who were able to take them home. Luckily, we had 12

just emptied BarleyLife and RediBeets containers and could easily transform them into flower vases. That way, we could enjoy the magnificent flower bouquets for the following days.

Summertime also means camping trips. An easy solution for laundry detergent and dish soap on-the-go is a Mag-nificence bottle that we cover with self-adhesive shelf liner paper. We use a cap from an old shampoo bottle and dispensing soap is a breeze. Back at home, we love to decorate the house for different occasions and candles are always part of it. A magazine article mentioned a party idea of lighting the bathroom with floating candles in the bathtub. The green lids of BarleyLife and CoCoa LeafGreens are fabulous for this. They float nicely with an ordinary

and the Gerhardt Girls tealight, a much cleaner version than having the wax of floating candles in the tub. This is much cheaper, too. Floating green lids in a bowl of water also makes for a nice centerpiece, as big or as small as you like. So start collecting the lids and wow your guests!

Most AIM containers can be prettified to your heart’s content, then filled with homemade goodies. They make fabulous hostess gifts or can hold a little something for a birthday. A ProPeas container can easily transform into a cute little ladybug or yellow tape can create a pretty bumblebee, perfect to say: Hap-BEE Birthday! There is no limit to where your imagination can go. You can even add an individual touch, as we did for a friend who loves birds. We cut pictures from magazines, glued them onto the jar, then sealed them with ModPodge. For how-to projects and/or AIM-inized recipes, feel free to email Karina at lovinghealth108@ gmail.com.
