LIVING WELL ™
JUNE 2020
What’s Really Important
Corporate Message
A Timely Message Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the people who have been affected by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, whether they have succumbed to the disease, lost loved ones, were infected by the virus and survived or experienced hardships resulting from shutdowns. The unexpected can happen. There are some things in life we have no control over, and this year has proven that beyond a shadow of a doubt.
The Good News
We have choices. Fear can overwhelm us or we can choose to live each day with gratitude for family, friends and good health and move forward in faith, doing our best to stay positive. As an essential business, AIM remains open and ready to fulfill your product needs. Despite the economic downturn, AIM also remains a financially stable company, and our sales continue to grow. AIM’s top-quality products remain an ongoing, top-priority focus. Our experienced and dedicated staff continue to serve the needs of our Members. We remain blessed with life-long relationships within the AIM Family.
Celebration Training from a Social Distance
As AIM Members are well aware, the Clear 2020 Vision Celebration in June had to be cancelled due to COVID-19. In reality, most events that required people to gather in groups suffered the fate of cancellation or rescheduling. Even though the Clear 2020 Vision Training will not take place in Branson this year, it will happen in a condensed version in July at a safe social distance: online. Each presentation will have your best interests at heart, whether it be to learn more about AIM products, become more familiar with the new AIM website or be better informed about following the FTC and FDA guidelines for product and business testimonials. If you don’t have access to a computer, you will be able to listen to the training via AIM’s Information Express. Watch for details in the July Living Well magazine.
Bright Future
As we look forward, we can be grateful to continue the opportunity of sharing good health with others. Our goal is to once again be together as a group. Preparing for a bright future, we are beginning to plan for an exciting Celebration in Branson on June 3-6, 2021. We hope to see you there!
Mission Statement Since 1982, The AIM Companies• has consistently delivered wholesome, high-quality nutritional products. Together with AIM Members, our mission is to continue improving people’s lives through health and free enterprise as we journey confidently into the future.

Some Manly AIM Advice
Why is it that men take fewer supplements than women? Then again, men tend to put off going for checkups until there’s a health problem that they can’t ignore. Regular medical exams and taking supplements fall into the category of DPMs: doable preventive moves. For guys who are reluctant to supplement their nutritional intake for the good of their health, AIM recommends a couple of DPMs that can serve all men well.
BarleyLife
No matter how old a boy is, eating plant-based food is good for his body. That’s why consuming the concentrated greens from the juice powder of young barley leaves is a wise way of supplementing his intake of beneficial plant nutrients. BarleyLife comes from the most nutritious grass on earth, so it offers incredibly nutritious food that would otherwise be inedible. This makes it all the more unique with its naturally balanced,
abundantly rich source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes, chlor ophyll and phytonutrients. Formulated by nature, it’s naturally great for guys.
ReAssure SP
When a boy reaches his forties, his prostate gland can begin to undergo a change in growth. This inner part enlarges unnoticed until he begins to experience obstructive, annoying, disruptive symptoms. For example, standing to urinate may not empty the bladder completely, so a guy may have to sit to effectively go. Or he may have to go much more frequently, especially during the night. Taking ReAssure SP gives a guy a dietary supplement that delivers saw palmetto berry oil extract, pumpkin seed oil, zinc and lycopene, four ingredients known to support prostate health and keep a guy going naturally.

Ways to Support Your Immune System
1 Regulate Sleep and Stress
When we sleep, our body heals, repairs and restores itself, so do everything you can to get 7–9 hours of sleep nightly. Composure is a calming blend of herbs that can help you to avoid sleepless nights. Learn to manage your stress levels, which suppress your immune system and the ability to fight infections.
2 Avoid Refined Sugars
Eliminate or reduce your intake of refined sugars, which suppress the immune system and can diminish the performance of white blood cells and increase inflammatory markers.
3 Stay Hydrated and Know Your Vitamin D Number
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! When you don’t drink enough water, your mucous membranes become dehydrated, and you become more susceptible to viruses. Natural sunlight is still the best form of vitamin D, which is critical for immune function. If your vitamin D numbers are low, consider supplementing with CalciAIM. It contains 7.5 mg of vegan vitamin D per serving.
4
4 Ramp Up Your Fruits and Vegetables
Aim to eat fruits and vegetables that are bright in colors to increase your intake of immune-enhancing plant nutrients. If you are not eating enough vegetables, then mix the Garden Trio in a blender bottle with cold water. Or for an extra boost of vegetable goodness, add these whole-food concentrates to smoothies.
5 Take High-Quality Probiotics
The gut microbiota is a dynamic ecosystem that aids digestion and immune function. FloraFood is an excellent source of probiotics that increase good gut bacteria. It helps balance the internal pH of the body, strengthening your immune system. Excerpted from an article by Leré Robinson, AIM Star Sapphire Director in Irmo, South Carolina
Business
AIM Quality You Can Trust The dietary supplement industry has been a worldwide, booming business for decades. In 1994, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s attempts to classify these products as “food additives” ended after the passage of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA). Twenty-six years later, an estimated 85,000 dietary supplements are available in the U.S. marketplace alone. For good reason, consumers and health care practitioners are (and should be) concerned about the presence of lowquality products. Then there are the studies that test synthetic supplements that the body has little use for, determining them to be a waste of money and possibly harmful. It boils down to making the right choices, and AIM makes selecting superior supplements simple.
The AIM Assurance
Members know that they can count on getting high-quality dietary supplements when they order from AIM. That’s one of the main reasons for joining the AIM Family during an initial search for beneficial products. Whole-food powders such as BarleyLife, Just Carrots and RediBeets deliver supplemental food that is pure and concentrated, providing a high-quality, nutritional boost to dietary intake because your body takes to them naturally. AIM dietary supplements are carefully formulated with only superior ingredients known for their effectiveness, including those for targeted nutrition and cardio and digestive health. What you see on an AIM label is exactly what you get. And you can be assured that what you get is of high quality. AIM doesn’t call it nutrition that works for nothing. It’s been working for over 38 years.

Plant-Based Protein Supplement Filtered and Purified with Water Only Great Amino Acid Profile
Alternative Protein
A diet of primarily plant-based food has been shown to be the best for promoting good health. The protein in plants has an alkalizing effect on the body and reduces inflammation, whereas meat is acidifying and triggers an inflammatory reaction. ProPeas offers supplemental plant protein from peas.
Did you know . . . ? Peas are one of the oldest cultivated crops, initially grown as a protein-rich vegetable in North Africa and West Asia. bit.ly/SustainablePeaProtein
A 2015 study showed that participants who supplemented with pea protein enjoyed greater muscle thickness in their biceps than those taking the placebo. But you don’t have to lift weights to benefit from taking the pea protein in ProPeas. Aging is a factor in muscle loss, so supplementing your protein intake with its plant-based source can contribute to building lean muscle and maintaining it. bit.ly/PeaProteinMuscle 6
Testimonials
We Appreciate AIM! I am 78 years of age, and I have been with The AIM Companies™ for over 20 years. I enjoy the wonderful products that have kept me in excellent health, along with my husband who has been rejuvenated. We have been active as volunteers for over 20 years, ministering to seniors in wheel chairs through song, en courage ment, wor ship and prayers. Since losing my eyesight three years ago in a medical accident, my husband and I have been actively involved with the Canadian Council of the Blind (CCB) and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), participating in exercise programs such as aquatic fitness.
We thank the Lord and AIM for helping us to maintain optimal health and assisting us in continuing our lifestyle. Among my favourite products are Herbal Fiberblend, BarleyLife (both powder and caps) and Herbal Release. I am appreciative of the won derful service I receive from AIM per sonnel when I call in my orders. They are very professional and always patient with my needs. Thank you, AIM. Mary Haynes AIM Director Barrie, Ontario
Adelia’s Story
I am thankful for AIM because it helps to keep us healthy! My favorite AIM product is the Garden Trio with BarleyLife Xtra. I have been to a few AIM Celebrations, and I liked talking on stage and seeing and speaking with all the people. I like to share the AIM products by telling people how to get healthy and how some products taste sweet.
I help my parents with their AIM business by trying to keep my little brother quiet when mommy is on the phone. And I like to put the stickers and
stamps on the envelopes when we do mailings. I want to encourage other kids to stay healthy by taking AIM products every day and not eating too much sugar. When I turned seven years old, my birthday cake was made with all-natural sweetener, and it’s my favorite! I am very grateful for AIM, Mr. Dennis and Mrs. Kay, and Mrs. Joan and Mr. Chris, who are my friends. Adelia Thompson, daughter of AIM Star Sapphire Directors Joy and Nathan Thompson from Dundee, Ohio

March Moments in June Back in March 2020, AIM received a number of testimonials and photographs from Members in South Africa, during their nation-wide lockdown. Here are some of those moments in time.
AIM Naturally Here’s to many more years of good health and wellness with The AIM Companies™. Thanks to AIM, we can still enjoy our AIM whole foods during lockdown. We live outside Pretoria on a small holding, and I’m so grateful to be able to be outdoors in the sun and close to nature during this time. We are also so privileged to still be able to enjoy our AIM products! Cheers to AIM for making this possible for us. Marna Dedekind, AIM Director, Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
My husband and I were first introduced to AIM products in 2010 by Mary-Ann Shearer. We finally signed up as Members in 2012, when I was pregnant with our son. I had an amazing pregnancy and used my AIM products throughout: BarleyLife, AIMega and RediBeets. After my son was born, we intro duced him to BarleyLife at around 9 months old, and he would suck the powder off my finger. Now at 7 years old, he still eats a teaspoon of BarleyLife every morning. In addition, he takes AIMega and FloraFood daily. He is a big fan of the Garden Trio and, of course, CoCoa LeafGreens. My husband and I take our exercise and fitness seriously, and we include Peak Endurance and ProPeas in our day. I also use GinkgoSense and Renewed Balance. Here’s to many more years of good health and wellness with the AIM Companies™. Laura Kirsten, AIM Group Builder, Durbanville, Western Cape, South Africa 8
Testimonials The next two testimonials were shared by Marilize Kukkuk, AIM Group Builder in Pretoria, Gauteng South Africa. Meet Christine Cilliers (AIM Preferred Member) and her seven-year-old daughter, Kay, who are from Rustenburg, North West, South Africa. They thoroughly enjoy their AIM smoothies, but it is little Kay who is completely addicted to them. She can’t wait to have one every single day. The day just before lockdown, she went to her mommy’s salon. While Christine was busy with a client, Kay sold two canisters of BarleyLife to a client who was waiting in the reception area. Talk about being an AIM ambassador! They are living the AIM brand: healthy, happy and together during quarantine.
Although South Africa is in a 21-day lockdown and our country’s future is uncertain, especially for all the small businesses, I am living and practicing gratitude. I am grateful for AIM. I am grateful for my health. I am grateful to be ‘locked down’ with freedom to move around, nature that takes my breath away, my loved one, my animals and the most delicious and wonderful products in the entire world that come from AIM. Thank you, AIM, for standing by us and being available to support us, in health and wealth. Marilize Testimonials should not be construed as representing results that everyone can achieve.

Emma Miller’s Weight Loss Challenge
AIM Chairman’s Club Director Emma Miller knows there is an important connection between ideal body weight and well-being. To encourage Members in her downline, Emma came up with a three-month weight loss challenge. Two prizes were available: one for losing the highest percentage of body weight and one for scoring the highest points. Points were awarded for adhering to daily goals that included not eating any junk food, exercising for 30 minutes and taking a selection of AIM products: 1. BarleyLife or BarleyLife Xtra 2. Just Carrots 3. RediBeets 4. Herbal Fiberblend 5. Fit ’n Fiber 6. ProPeas 7. GlucoChrom Of course, the last three products make up the AIM Weight Loss Pack.
Inspirational Motivation
Providing participating Members with a visual, Emma explained how people often have a “mental picture” of themselves that tends to keep them overweight. Changing that image can visually help a person to actualize a healthy weight.
Along the way there can be temp tations to eat more if weight loss is happening too slowly. The trick is not to get too emotionally attached to the results. If you are committed to the process, the weight should come off eventually.
The Impressive Results
At the end of the three months, one woman lost 19.5 percent of her body weight and another lost 17.22 percent with a perfect score for following the program. Both prize winners chose a gift card worth $150. Overall, it was clear that people lost weight according to how well they followed the plan. And those who began to feel much better by losing pounds are likely inspired to continue on the healthy path of ideal weight. Emma encourages other AIM leaders to conduct a similar challenge for their team. AIM applauds Emma Miller for her “losing” encouragement and congratulates the winners and each participant for their steps in a healthy direction with the use of nutrition that works.

Aging
During their youth, most people don’t give a second thought to aging. Some may begin to worry about it once they reach a milestone in years. The anxiety associated with getting older is usually the loss of youth. However, those in their golden years know that there are far greater things to worry about. One of the greatest appre hensions is the loss of cognitive function. Age is the strongest known risk factor for memory loss. Even though there is nothing anyone can do to stop growing older, there are steps you can take to keep your mind sharp.
Sensible Choices
Leading a healthy lifestyle is the best way to take good care of yourself. Wholesome food, physical and mental activity, social interaction, stress management and sufficient sleep are factors that have a positive influence on your body and mind.

Keep Moving These days, there’s a trend among young people to work out using simple body exercises that anyone should be able to do. The concept is to just keep moving with free online videos that show you how. You don’t need equipment or have to lift weights, run miles, push heavy tires or do any other typical or extreme workouts. You just have to move your own bodyweight to get cardio and strength training. It helps to improve your health, state of mind and physical balance. The movements can be as simple as walking in place while raising your arms up or to the side, raising your legs and lowering your arms, stepping from side to side, etc. Most importantly, it means these days you don’t have to go to the gym or a fitness center. You can exercise in the comfort and safety of your home. For those with an aversion to exercise, these “young moves” are enjoyable and beneficial.
Moving Support from AIM To help keep you moving, the
Sports Pack is made to order for
boosting your energy and physical stamina and increasing lean muscle mass. Along with six B vitamins and six electrolytes, Peak Endurance keeps you going with an oral source of energy molecules: ATP. From the juice powder of red beetroot, RediBeets boosts your levels of nitric oxide, which relaxes artery walls and improves circulation. Delivering plant-based protein, ProPeas con tri butes to building lean muscle mass, which may help you to burn more calories and manage your weight.

What’s New with Lew? Lew Hollander appeared in the BBC’s TV Series documentary, The Human Body: Secrets of Your Life Revealed. He was featured as Iron Lew, competing in 2017’s Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon at the age of 87. Impressive! And on June 6, Lew turns 90, so a big Happy Birthday from his AIM Family. For most people, reaching your 90th year is a time for lessening activity and relishing a lifetime of memories. But not Lew Hollander. Here’s a 2020 update from this unstoppable AIM athlete. “In early March, Karen and I returned home after a month in Santa Cruz. We spent time getting ready for May’s Pole Peddle Paddle (PPP) race in Bend, Oregon. It is ski, bike, run and kayak, and Karen and I have a team. However, like so many other public gatherings in 2020, this event had to be cancelled. “This summer, I will do the usual duathlons and triathlons wherever and whenever possible. I did seven last year.
AIM Athlete
“Looking optimistically toward the near future, I am on the USA Triathlon Team going to Almere, Holland, in September 2020, to represent America in the International Triathlon Union (ITU) World Championship. As the oldest member of the team, I am excited to be included. “The fact is, I jump out of bed in the morning and have no issues, believing my best years are still ahead. I give a lot of credit to the AIM products that I take every morning. I mix a cocktail for myself and my wife, Karen, using products such as CalciAIM, BarleyLife and RediBeets. “And I’d like to give a shout-out to AIM about how well done Living Well magazine is. It keeps on improving.” Testimonials should not be construed as representing results that everyone can achieve.
