Nutrition That Works!

Every month since April 1982, The AIM Companies™ has provided a key to unlocking the power of supplemental food: nutrition that works.

Keeping it simple but phenomenally nutritious, AIM carries a variety of wholefood powders using all-natural, plantsourced ingredients that create BarleyLife, BarleyLife Xtra, CoCoa LeafGreens, Just Carrots and RediBeets.

Barley leaves, arugula, cocoa beans, beets, broccoli sprouts, carrots, kale, spinach and Swiss chard all work to keep you on the good side of health. Supplementing your food intake with the powders of these ultra nutritious ingredients significantly increases your intake of nutrients and phytonutrients.

Digging In

In Beginning at the beginning with BarleyLife, over four decades ago barley grass was determined to be one of the most nutritious plants on the planet. But humankind is not physically able to graze on grass and assimilate its abundant nutrients and phytonutrients, so AIM unlocked its nutritional density in an easily digested juice powder.

BarleyLife’s ingredient combination of the juice powder of young barley plants, brown rice oligodextrin and kelp delivers the essence of nutrition that works. Its green nourishment provides nutrients

such as carbohydrates, minerals, protein and vitamins along with a rich source of chlorophyll, enzymes, antioxidants and other beneficial phytonutrients, including lutonarin, saponarin and superoxide dismutase.

Even though phytonutrients are plant compounds that are incredibly good at protecting you and keeping your body healthy, they are not considered essential, life-giving nutrients that have daily recommended intakes. Getting phytonutrients is generally relegated to a daily intake of around 4½ cups of colorful fruits and vegetables.

AIM’s whole-food powders made from colorful fruits and vegetables can amplify your nutrient and phytonutrient levels. Digging in to their plantsourced ingredients is a daily opportunity to dig in to nutrition that works.

Peak Endurance and Physical Performance

Peak Endurance is a dietary supplement that delivers an oral source of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) combined with six electrolytes, six B vitamins and vitamin C in a blueberry-açai flavored, energy-drink powder. Each serving contains 200 mg ATP (adenosine triphosphate disodium) and 6 major electrolytes –sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium and chloride. In this article, I will explore the benefits of ATP supplementation for athletes.

What is ATP?

ATP stands for Adenosine Triphosphate. ATP is formed as a result of the breakdown of glucose for energy via specific pathways, some yielding more ATP than others. It is the primary source of energy for all functions occurring WITHIN the cell. Outside the cell, which is referred to as extracellular, ATP functions to provide the energy required for muscle contraction and relaxation. ATP also acts as a neurotransmitter, which is a fancy term meaning it is involved in the delivery and reception of messages to stimulate the nerve cells (neurons).

What is the value of ATP supplementation for athletes?

It is this extracellular role of ATP that is of interest when we look at oral supplements providing ATP. The amount of intracellular ATP (ATP inside the cells) available is controlled entirely by the body itself and no amount of supplementation will affect this balance. However, several studies and clinical trials have shown that boosting levels of extracellular ATP have been shown to help reduce muscle fatigue and enable a higher force output during repeated high-

intensity bouts of exercise.2 One of the effects of boosting extracellular ATP levels is to improve blood flow, which results in the more rapid removal of metabolic waste products, thereby allowing muscles to accomplish more work with less fatigue.1 A study by Rathmacher et al in 2012, confirming these findings, showed that supplementation of 400 mg ATP per day for 15 days tended to reduce muscle fatigue and improved the individual’s ability to endure a higher force output at the end of a bout of exhaustive exercise (exercise which is repeated until the person can no longer do it = exhaustive).1

Many studies over the years have focused on short-term exercise to measure the effects of these supplements as it is easier to measure the effects and more factors can be controlled than those individuals who participate in endurance training and events, such as marathons, cycle races occurring over several days and events which involve multidisciplinary exercise (swimming, running and cycling for example). The latter include levels of training, skill and expertise which also contribute to the individual successes (or failures).2

4 May - Jun 2023 / to order call 011-675-0477 PRODUCT FEATURE

High Intensity Interval Exercise (HIIE) is a well-known strategy for improving fat loss and increasing VO2 Max which measures total energy expenditure. It is therefore an excellent way of measuring the effect of supplementation on performance and endurance, especially if the other parameters such as diet and fluid intake can also be controlled. HIIE protocols involving relatively short bouts of exercise (<1 min), performed at a capacity of >100% of maximum aerobic speed (MAS) are used for this research. HIIE is a useful tool for improving cardiovascular fitness, as well as strength, both of which

help to contribute to longevity and therefore are anti-aging.2

A further review on all data to date (2021) by Jäger et al, showed that a dose of 400mg ATP 20 - 30 minutes before breakfast or on alternative, non-exercise days provided insight into its ability to reduce muscle fatigue, increase strength and power, improve body composition, maintain muscle health during stress, increase recovery and reduce pain. However, the actual mechanisms involved need further research and investigation.2

In conclusion: The current research and available data supports the concept that oral ATP supplementation helps to reduce muscle fatigue and may improve strength and power. The benefits of Peak Endurance include the provision of essential electrolytes for energy production and power. Taken twice per day Peak Endurance supplies 400mg of ATP which can be found in each of these studies.2

The Power of Green Barley Grass: Life-Changing Health!

AIM BarleyLife changed my life almost 30 years ago and this amazing product continues to keep me in good health into my 50s!

Using AIM BarleyLife inspired me to research the ingredients further and I found the following key points about barley grass, which continues to confirm why BarleyLife is still my favourite AIM product:

Barley grass is one of the most nutrient dense plants on the planet. Grasses are the mineral miners of the plant kingdom and can contain up to 90 different minerals, as they are the only plants, which absorb all the minerals in the soil in which they are grown.

Grasses are a protein source. Considering that the largest land animals eat grass almost exclusively to build their big strong bodies!

Barley grass is considered to have an alkalinising effect on the body. The benefits of this is that it reduces acidity, which contributes to inflammation. The alkalinity levels of the Barley grass are linked to the high mineral content, which is measured by the Potential Renal Acid Load (PRAL SCORE), which is used to measure the amount of acidity or alkalinity produced by food in the body. A higher score reflects a higher acid level and a lower score is more alkaline.

Amino acids (the building blocks of protein) found in Barley grass include GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) and asparagine. Both these amino acids are intrinsically involved in brain metabolism and cognitive thinking. Studies have shown that stress reduces GABA levels (due to stress) and low levels of asparagine have been shown in animal studies to create anxiety. Other factors that can lead to reduced GABAergic activity include: sleep deprivation, excessive alcohol consumption and neurodegenerative disorders.1,2,3,4,5

AIM’s barley grass is harvested when the grass is still young and the whole metabolism of the plant is dedicated to growth. Young plants are rich sources of enzymes and small molecular compounds required to encourage growth. When plants are harvested at this stage, these compounds are manifested at optimal levels.

8 May - Jun 2023 / to order call 011-675-0477 HEALTHY ATTITUDE

Barley Grass also has a high antioxidant and enzyme level: Superoxide Dismutase is found in all body cells and is known for its function in protecting against radiation and slowing down the aging process. It is also an enzyme that functions as a primary anti-oxidant, therefor facilitating the detoxification of potentially damaging oxygen molecules. AIM BarleyLife is considered a supreme product because the manufacturing process is dedicated to preserving enzymes in their natural state.

High Chlorophyll levels. Third party tests show that Barley Life levels are greater than 22 mg per 4g serving. Chlorophyll is literally formed through photosynthesis and is in a way taking sunlight into our bodies! In an interesting study in The Journal of Cell Science it was found that chlorophyll enables your body’s mitochondria to produce more ATP (adenosine triphosphate) when exposed to sunlight.

As far as I am concerned, AIM BarleyLife is the world’s finest quality green whole food supplement available today. I love the fact that Dennis Itami’s motto is – “kaizen” – a Japanese word for ‘always improving”.

My children all grew up using AIM BarleyLife and my grandchildren were given it from 6 months old. It is the perfect wholefood supplement to build their bodies and keep them healthy!

I am so grateful for the AIM opportunity which came across my path and has without a doubt played a big role in keeping myself and my family healthy, as well as providing a wonderful income generating opportunity for ourselves, and the many others to whom we have introduced the products and the business opportunity to through the years!

AIM Support for Your Immune System

It’s cold outside in the dead of winter, a time that increases the risk of catching colds and the flu. Recent research suggests a previously unknown reason why this happens. The drop in temperature inhibits a specific immune response, and the nose knows all about it.

When confronted with bacterial or viral pathogens, the nose releases tiny sacs filled with fluid to neutralise these threats. However, this immune response is reduced by over 40 percent in cold weather.¹

Whatever the reasons that winter plays a part in making people sick, it makes sense to give your immune system a boost of support from GarlicAIM and Proancynol 2000.

Protective GarlicAIM

Supplementing your dietary intake with GarlicAIM gives you a side of garlic in three forms: garlic bulb extract, fermented black garlic and alpine wild garlic. The beneficial compounds from GarlicAIM’s unique combination of ingredients include significant sources of adenosine, allicin, flavonoids and gammaglutamyl peptides.

Along with being cardioprotective and increasing both antioxidant and inflammation fighting activity, garlic appears to stimulate specific protective cells (eosinophils, lymphocytes, macrophages, etc.), thereby enhancing the immune system and helping to maintain the balance of this first line of defense in the body.²

Regenerative Proancynol 2000

The seven ingredients in Proancynol 2000 increase your body’s number and diversity of antioxidants. These protective molecules replace the missing electron in unstable molecules known as free radicals, thereby preventing the damage of their destructive natures.

Proancynol 2000’s antioxidant-rich ingredients go even further by increasing levels of one of the most important antioxidants produced by your body: glutathione, a protein made up of three amino acids.

Along with being a major part of the antioxidant defense system in cells, glutathione is said to fine-tune the immune response.³ Even though glutathione is naturally produced by your body, levels decrease as you age. But taking a glutathione supplement has displayed poor results due to the breakdown of this protein during digestion. Proancynol 2000 ingredients such as alpha-lipoic acid regenerate and recycle glutathione, high levels of which are associated with a greater sense of well-being.

Make sure GarlicAIM and Proancynol 2000 are on the side of your immune system season after season.

Fiber - 456g powder

Fibre: The Overlooked Nutrient

Before the 1970s, fibre was not considered to be an important part of daily food intake, mainly because it is not digested. Of course, opinions change over time, especially when the incredible health benefits of fibre were recognised. Today, fibre is also known to be a healthy nutrient for the microbiota, feeding the good bacteria that keep you healthy.

Fibre is the material in plants that is not digested by your body

One type of fibre is insoluble, meaning it moves through your digestive tract like a brush that scrubs the intestinal walls and softens stools for easy elimination.

The second type of fibre is soluble, which dissolves in water and turns into a gel-like substance that regulates blood sugar, reduces cholesterol and inhibits the absorption of substances that are harmful to your body.

Fit ’n Fiber delivers healthy sources of both insoluble and soluble fibre.

Taking Fit ’n Fiber with FloraFood is a nourishing move for you and your microbiota.

Each serving of Fit ’n Fiber feeds good bacteria with 8 grams of prebiotic fibre.

Biotic: Pre & Pro

The word biotic relates to life and living organisms.

Probiotic signifies the good bacteria in your microbiota.

Prebiotic refers to the food that feeds the good bacteria in your gut.

FloraFood is a probiotic formula that adds 3 billion live cells of healthy microorganisms to repopulate your good gut bacteria.

Fit ’n Fiber is an everyday supplement that delivers 3 types of probiotic-feeding, prebiotic fibre: acacia, konjac and guar gum.

Calcium in the Athlete’s Diet

Proper bone density is dependent upon a number of minerals, the most significant being calcium, which is the most abundant mineral in the human body.

Introduction

The human body comprises of 206 bones, which together with cartilage, makes up the entire human skeleton. The strength of the bones, is imperative to maintaining health. Whilst the understanding that calcium is a vital nutrient of bone health, there are still several circumstances and life stages, in which adequate dietary calcium is a challenge; the deficiency of this crucial element has lasting and sometimes serious consequences. The life stages during which adequate calcium intake is essential include the following:

Early growth and development of the infant. Growth and development throughout childhood.

For women, pregnancy, lactation and menopause.

For men, particularly andropause (when testosterone levels fall) as part of the aging process.

We also need to remember that, apart from its role in bone development and health, calcium is used by the body in several other ways. This mineral is responsible for proper muscle contraction, central nervous system function and hormone secretion.

Apart from these life stages, the main concern for both men and women as far as calcium goes, is the effect of endurance exercise on the requirements of various nutrients. The moment any physical sport becomes more extreme, nutrient requirements may be elevated and if they are not provided for, will incur a deficiency thereof.

Calcium in the Athlete’s Diet

The prevalence of eating disorders within the athlete community is well documented, particularly in disciplines involving weight categories or limitations and where endurance is required. Many athletes embark on a number of dietary and supplement protocols that may or may not enhance health, but all are desired to improve performance and outcome. Be that as it may, the athlete may be left in a nutrient deficient state, which should be addressed or it will result in severe and lasting consequences.1,2

Female athletes are particularly vulnerable as they have a lower energy availability (EA) than men. This low EA can have adverse effects on bone, resulting in more acute bone injuries as well as longer - term reduced bone mass and strength.

PRODUCT FEATURE

It appears that many highly active individuals, particularly elite and recreational endurance athletes, may have difficulties in matching their dietary intakes to their exercise energy expenditure, which results in a low energy availability. This is also an issue that can affect males, but appears to be more prevalent in females.3

It is vital that athletes consider the longterm implications of their chosen sport on their bones, as well as the increased risk in developing bone injuries (including stress fractures in the short-term). Consideration must be given to the factors that influence bone strength or weakening. Some factors are non-modifiable (you cannot do anything about them) such as genetics, race and gender, but modifiable factors such as diet, nutrition and training can mitigate the effects of excess training on the body.3

Making up the Calcium Deficit

Food should always provide the bulk of nutrition to the body and individuals must not rely on supplementation to provide nutrients in total. It must be remembered that dairy products are a useful source of dietary calcium, and even though the calcium in these products is not absorbed 100% (few are), calcium is still one of the main minerals provided. Other food sources of calcium include green leafy vegetables, nuts and nut butter (cashew and almond butter for example), seed butters (tahini) and seed pastes like pesto. If an individual is not only an endurance athlete, but also has some of the non-modifiable risk factors for bone weakness, such as gender (being female), having had or has an eating disorder, then supplementation, in addition to diet must be considered.

As I have often mentioned in my articles, no nutrient works alone, and if you are looking at supplements to bridge the gap

between deficiency and sufficiency, then the co-stars in the metabolic play are as important as the main actor. Optimal bone metabolism requires vitamin D, magnesium and phosphorous together with adequate amounts of calcium. The other crucial fact is that MORE is NOT better. Be aware of the danger of taking in more calcium than your body can metabolise at any one moment in time, as this may result in an accumulation of calcium in the kidneys, which can (not always) possibly lead to kidney stones. In this capacity, I have absolutely no hesitation in prescribing CalciAIM as your calcium supplement; regardless of what life stage is present, i.e., child athlete, adult female athlete, pre- or post- menopausal women or a male with low testosterone levels. This product will provide almost a 98% absorbable compound, ionic calcium. This is possible because of the addition of water to the dry blend of calcium salts as well as citric and malic acids. This formula contains calcium gluconate, which has been shown to enhance the bifido bacteria in the gut, which helps to enhance calcium absorption. The research has shown that people can absorb only 20% of calcium from tablets and 30% from capsules, therefore immediately making CalciAIM more favourable. In addition to this, CalciAIM also contains vitamins A & D, magnesium, zinc and copper, which we have already established are vital supporting actors in the Metabolism of Bone Play.

Conclusion

Assess what life stage you are in and plan your calcium intake accordingly. Take into account what other aspects (such as training) can contribute positively or negatively to your bone health. Ensure your diet contains enough calcium-rich foods.

A New Lease on Life through Nutrition

For the greater part of the past 40 years, I have had to learn to live with stiffness and severe pains in my body. Getting up from a chair or into a car, has been a major challenge. I was also plagued with stabbing nerve pain running up my leg and burning pains in my foot. Not anymore!

I turned 76 on 21 January 2023. Many friends and family have commented on how well I look for my age. They are impressed that I am still able to go to the gym 5 days a week for workout classes and do a Parkrun as often as possible.

What changed in my life?

I believe that following a healthy diet, and supplementing with AIM products has a lot to do with my well-being.

We have known our AIM sponsor for many years and she invited us to a Healthy Living talk at a local school in July 2018. After attending this presentation on AIM products, I decided to take the first step. Due to years of gut issues, I started using BarleyLife and later added Herbal Fiberblend and Renewed

Balance Cream for nutritional support. Over time, and using a variety of other AIM products such as FloraFood and AIMega, I was able to address other health issues.

After further research and being diagnosed with several food intolerances (gluten, dairy and egg) we were able to follow a healthy diet omitting these foods. Due to this big lifestyle change and the introduction of other AIM products, I am now able to enjoy life fully at my age.

Looking back, I have also realised that many other health issues have improved. Time is a great healing factor. I make sure I drink enough water and get a good night’s sleep, which all adds to one’s overall health.

• Colon health – I am regular and no longer suffer from constipation.

• Cholesterol levels - all within the normal range.

• Decreased wax build-up in my ears – this seemed to assist in the functionality of my hearing aids.

• Good quality of sleep - my nights are no longer characterised by restless legs, and feet.

• Weight - is now normal for my build and I do not have a bulge around my abdomen.

• pH-level - improved radically with correct readings

• Eye health – is now normal after having experienced eye problems.

• I have increased energy.

• My cognitive function has improved.

• My state of mind - I am more relaxed and calm

• Immune system - has improved greatly (I have not had any winter sniffles for the past 5 years).

BarleyLife, AIMega, Herbal Fiberblend, FloraFood, Renewed Balance Cream, Proancynol, Composure and CWR”

I can now look forward to the rest of my retirement. I am now able to assist our children and grandchildren with their health issues which have caused them many problems in the past.

Every so often, we read about scientists still discovering more about the human body’s amazing ability to heal itself when you look after it. Getting involved with The AIM Companies and assisting people with using the AIM products have also opened opportunities for us as pensioners to assist in covering our monthly AIM products.

My improved health through the use of these well balanced and nourishing super foods has opened my eyes as well as those of my friends and family. I am thankful for this new lease on a better quality of life.

Preparing for Peak Performance in a Marathon

There are so many opinions and advice for potential Comrades runners that sometimes the information can be overwhelming. In order to summarise the main topics that require attention, I broke them down into a few categories:

1. Focus & Attitude

2. Hydration

3. Nutrition

4. Physical training

1. Focus & Attitude

I researched what some of the Comrades winners through the years had to say about this topic. This is what they said:

• It takes action to achieve one’s dreams.

• Life is full of challenges and so is a race like Comrades – regardless of how much you plan and prepare, there will be obstacles that you never envisaged along the way. Be prepared to be surprised and challenged!

• The secret of success is simply; to keep going – literally putting one foot in front of the other and KEEP MOVING.

• Do the best YOU can do, and ACCEPT the result!

2. Hydration

If you do not pay attention to hydration throughout the training program, you will never reach peak performance on the day.

Pre-hydrate: for a sustained fast-paced run, consider drinking 450 ml – 600 ml about 2 hours before the run so you start off properly hydrated. Avoid drinking in the 20 minutes before the race starts as the liquid will sit in your stomach and make it more likely for gastro-intestinal upsets to occur.

Maintain hydration: drink approximately 150 ml – 300 ml every 15-20 minutes whilst running. The loss of electrolytes during the race should be replenished, but there is no need to go overboard. Focus on sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium replacement. One way to accomplish this is to simply drink water and snack on foods that are rich in these minerals. Look for sports drinks that have a low concentration of carbohydrates (around 6-8%), and those that will give you approximately 28 mg potassium and 100 mg sodium for every 250 ml. Limit your total intake of carbohydrates to 60 grams or less per hour (including snacks).

Post-race: for every 500 grams lost during the race, drink 450 ml – one litre. Recovery drinks that contain some good quality protein will aid and expedite muscle recovery.1

3. Nutrition

There are 4 stages or meals that predominate an athlete’s diet. These are:

1. Immediately before training

2. During training

3. The 30-minute period post training

4. Diet throughout the training period

HEALTH FEATURE
20 May - Jun 2023 / to order call 011-675-0477
The Comrades Marathon is coming up and after the pandemic, the relevance and attendance of these major global sporting events will never again be taken for granted.

1. Immediately before training:

• Re-stock depleted carbohydrate stores from the overnight fast by 100-200 Calories (2530 grams of carbohydrate) at least an hour before training. Choose simple carbohydrates if you cannot eat an hour before training begins. These must be low in fibre. However, if you are planning a long run then you MUST eat a minimum of an hour before and the carbohydrates should be low GI.

• Replenish normal body fluid levels by drinking fluids to satisfy thirst.

2. During training:

Goals to meet during training are to provide adequate energy for optimal performance and to prevent nausea or diarrhea. At very high intensity exercise the gastro-intestinal tract is compromised as blood supply concentrates more on cooling down the body rather than digesting food. Causes of nausea are: Poor pacing, excessive fluid intake (more than 900ml – 1.2 litres), excessive high density, low GI food intake, dehydration and excessive salt intake.

3. The 30-minute period post training

• Simple sugars preferably in the form of glucose at ¾ gram per kg body weight should be taken immediately or in the post 30 minutes after training.

• Rehydrate sufficiently.

• Add sufficient amino acids in the ratio of 4 grams carbohydrate to 1 gram protein.

• Replace electrolytes, which can usually be achieved if fresh fruit and/or juices are used.

4. Diet throughout the training period

Carbohydrate requirements: Complex carbohydrates such as those found in vegetables, fruit and whole grains should make up the bulk of your diet. These should replace sweets, refined breads and cold drinks.

Protein requirements: Intake of dietary protein should be 1.5 - 2 grams protein/kg Ideal Body mass. Foods that contain all the essential amino

acids include all animal sources of protein such as lean meat, chicken, fish, milk and eggs. Fat requirements: Fats should constitute about 20-30% of the total daily energy intake. Good sources of fat include: fish, avocados, olives, olive oil and coconut oil, raw nuts and seeds. Fats to avoid include all fried and commercially prepared foods, vegetable oils that are not cold-pressed or extra-virgin. Fast foods are usually high in transand saturated fatty acids and should be avoided.

4. Physical Training

Physical training is clearly an obvious step to completing (let alone winning) the Comrades, here are a few pointers to guide you in the right direction when choosing a strategy.

Start your running training a minimum of 6 months prior to the event. Increase your total weekly distance by no more than 5-10% each week. In the first 2 months of training, focus on building up mileage with easy and long runs. Approximately 4 months from race day, add in one hill workout per week and one interval or tempo run per week.

The majority of the training obviously involves running but don’t forget about strength training, which experts say can add real value to your Comrades experience such as: improved running economy, possible injury reduction and prevention, delayed onset of fatigue and psychological benefits.2

In Conclusion, the most important aspect of training for major events is to make it part of life’s positive experience. Wrap all the false starts, injuries, and all other challenges into a box that says: “I did this to the best of my ability” and even more importantly, enjoy the journey!

Frequently Asked

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

What is used to flavour Peak Endurance and how is coconut water added if this is a dry powder?

The flavours are natural flavours that utilise nature juice powders. The term “water” can make this confusing but the drying process remove the water from coconut water is the same as drying a grape juice into a powder. The solids of the “water” remains which include electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and other phytonutrients. Peak Endurance contains natural flavours that are free of all major allergens.

From what is the 1 gram of sugar in Peak Endurance derived form?

No sugar is added to AIM Peak EnduranceTM. The 1 gram of sugar comes from the blueberry acai juice powder and beet root juice powder, both natural, nothing artificial.

Can Peak Endurance be mixed up and stored in the fridge? YES.

Is Peak Endurance only for people who exercise?

Absolutely not, as we age the bodies levels of ATP decline. It has been convincingly demonstrated that in humans, upon aging, liver and blood levels of ATP drop significantly. A study measuring ATP levels in human red blood cells found that people in their 70’s had about 50% less ATP than people in their 20’s. AIM Peak EnduranceTM is an everyday supplement that will provide increased energy levels in both those who exercise and those who do not.

Why does CalciAIM contain ascorbic acid (synthetic vitamin C) instead of rose hips, a natural source of vitamin C?

Rose hips do contain vitamin C however they only contain 0.426% (about one-half percent) of vitamin C. It would take nearly 1.4 grams of Rose hips to supply the 33 mg of vitamin C in a serving of CalciAIM. Additionally our ascorbic acid does not contain corn derivatives of any kind. Our ascorbic acid is manufactured through a bacterial fermentation process using glucose.

Can I take other products in conjunction with CalciAIM?

Yes, CalciAIM can be mixed with all AIM products. Although CalciAIM is mildly acidic, it can be mixed with BarleyLife. The mineral combination of CalciAIM creates a very alkalising product. High-fibre beverages like AIM Herbal Fiberblend® will slow the rate of calcium absorption, but both products will still provide benefits.
