THE BALDWIN SCHOOL
MAY 4-5, 2018
The new year has begun and all of us at Baldwin are eager to celebrate with the Classes of Gold during Reunion Weekend on May 4-5, 2018. Planning is well underway and we are excited to showcase the vibrant “Baldwin of today” and remember our storied past and rooted traditions of yesterday. This newsletter will give you a “sneak peek” of our weekend schedule of events. We are confident you will find events and gatherings of interest to you as the weekend has something for everyone and connects you back to your Baldwin days. We look forward to reconnecting, reminiscing and recognizing the amazing accomplishments of our alumnae now outside our gates. Members of the Office of Advancement and Alumnae Engagement will be in contact soon to schedule reunion committee conference calls. We remain grateful for those who have come forward to lead their class efforts. Our focus in the new year continues to be expanding reunion committees, encouraging reunion giving and solidifying plans for class gatherings. Thank you for the special role you will play in helping us with these efforts. For up-to-date information, visit the reunion website at www.baldwinschool.org/reunionweekend or contact Wendy Waltman, Director of Alumnae Engagement and Reunion Planning, at wwaltman@baldwinschool.org or (610) 525-2700, ext. 268. We can’t wait to see you in May!
The Baldwin Fund On Friday evening of reunion, the Champagne Challenge Cup and the Class of 1936 Reunion Challenge Bowl will be awarded to the classes with highest participation and most money raised, respectively. Help your class claim the coveted Cup or Bowl by making a gift to The Baldwin Fund in honor of your reunion. We need every alumna’s support to be successful, so please consider making a gift today in honor of this special milestone, your favorite teacher or a classmate. Besides bragging rights, a trophy will be a special addition to your class picture! If you would like to make a gift, please visit www.baldwinschool.org/gift or call Brooke Mattingly at (610) 525-2700, ext. 403.

The Alex Wake ’05 Memorial 5K Run and 1 Mile Family Fun Walk We invite the members of the Classes of Gold to join us on Saturday, May 5, 2018 for the annual Alex Wake ’05 Memorial 5K Run and 1 Mile Family Fun Walk, one of Baldwin’s most important community events. The Run/Walk is held the morning of Reunion Weekend to allow for alumnae participation and support. As it has in past years, the 2018 Run/Walk raises awareness of domestic violence while honoring the life of Alex Wake, a Baldwin student whose life was taken by domestic violence. Additionally, the event keeps Alex’s memory alive through the scholarship it helps to support. Current students create costumes and class teams—wouldn’t it be wonderful to see alumnae join together and do the same? Please consider registering yourself, your family or team as we celebrate the life of this very special young woman while enjoying friendly competition, exercise, food and fun prizes. More information to follow!
