Large lidded jars hold small rocks for top dressing potted plants, guard potting soil from bugs and keep seed packets and twine safe from the elements.
I
t’s no secret the gardening industry saw a huge upswing in sales due to the pandemic. We were confined to our homes and desperately needing to keep ourselves entertained; even those without green thumbs became plant parents within the last two years. We found gardening can bring peace, teach patience and inspire hope. But it can be messy. Having a designated place to repot plants, store tools and keep extra soil will make caring for your greenery easier and fun. Simple storage and a small work surface is really all that’s needed for a potting station — plus, a designated potting area can double as an outdoor bar when your gardening work is done. That’s known as a win-win.
Join the fun; a new study from Scarborough market research firm revealed that of the 164 million homeowners in the U.S., nearly half (49%) gardened in the past 12 months.
