What a hugely successful weekend we enjoyed at The Best You’s second annual EXPO. After last year’s event I didn’t think it could get any better, but this year we doubled in size, in terms of both space and the number of speakers. I’m very lucky to be part of a fantastic team, and we worked incredibly hard to make sure the EXPO offered something to inspire everyone on their personal development journey. The weekend featured over 120 talks by true leaders across the worlds of business, entrepreneurship, health and wellbeing. The diversity of topics covered was thrilling, from the power of yoga to achieving financial success, and from business mentoring to improving brain health. We also held our inaugural Gala Dinner and Awards, honouring some of those in the personal development industry who have changed the lives of millions. Among them ‘The Juice Master’ Jason Vale, a man who really walks his talk; his branding, marketing and ethos is second to none. World-famous business mentor Sharon Lechter was also celebrated for being a living legend, an example of how to build a first class career. You can read about both of these worthy winners in this EXPO special issue of our magazine. The Best You team is so grateful to everyone who contributed to this year’s EXPO - whether it was to give a workshop, to share your wisdom on a stand, or as a guest to soak up everything on offer. Thank you for all of the gratitude and the love you shared. We love what we do, and it’s only made possible by you. We have no doubt that next year’s EXPO will be even bigger and better, and we’re super excited to announce that it will be in central London, at Olympia, and it will take place on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 February. We’re looking forward to seeing you there! Bernardo Moya

I thought the vibes were very good - it has a very friendly relaxed atmosphere. Excellent stands, coaches, speakers, topics and content, with a great

THE HAPPY LIST 2017 Nominations are now open to find 50 outstanding unsung heroes and heroines who enrich the lives of others in Britain

In a world awash with negativity and fake news, it is time to tell the stories that truly deserve to be told. The Independent newspaper has opened nominations for its selection of the 50 people whose kindness, bravery and dedication help make the UK a happier and more caring place, and asks for your help to find them. Everyone knows someone who goes above and beyond, from taking care of foster children, the elderly, wildlife, those at risk of loneliness or simply by do some small acts to make their community happy, and these are the people The Happy List celebrates. This May, The Independent will publish the names of the 50 chosen nominees, so all they need is your help to find those who deserve to be celebrated.

STACKABLE SPORTS PITCHES MAKE USE OF UNUSED URBAN SPACE GLOW IN THE DARK CEMENT COULD LIGHT UP CITIES

Architecture firm AL_A unveiled its Pitch/Pitch concept that uses modular carbon fibre structures to create multiple sports fields in tiny urban spaces. The clear sided structures provide views for passersby and spectators, and covered walkways around the pitches provide up-close enjoyment of the action. The pitches can be configured quickly and easily for different sports, including football, basketball and hockey, and for an array of different sized teams.

A Mexican scientist has developed cement that glows in the dark for up to 12 hours, potentially revolutionising the way we light our cities. The energy-efficient material soaks up sunlight during the daytime and begins to emit light as the sun sets. And it's not just lampposts that the luminous invention could render obsolete. The brains behind the invention, JosÊ Carlos Rubio Avalos, says: "It could be used for exterior and interior applications. So it could even be lighting up the inside of our homes one day to save on electric bills.

JASON VALE ON THE ELIXIR OF LIFE 20 THE BEST YOU MAGAZINE

Our Guru of The Year on why his passion shows no signs of waning

Jason started looking into the way food affects the body. Along the way, after reading a book by juicing pioneer Norman Walker, he experimented with juicing. It had a hugely positive effect on his health, his asthma was cured, his psoriasis disappeared and his eczema was almost entirely cured. This completely changed Jason’s attitude towards life and towards the foods he had previously been addicted to.

At The Best You’s inaugural Gala and Awards Dinner earlier this year, Jason ‘The Juice Master’ Vale was named Guru of the Year for his contributions to the fields of health, fitness and wellbeing.

According to Jason, "most people are overfed and undernourished, and are always hungry because their cells are genuinely starving. You don't think of someone being morbidly obese and think that they are starving, but the irony is that's what is happening.”

It is a well-deserved honour, given that Jason’s life mission is to tell as many people as possible about the extraordinary health-giving effects of natural vegetable and fruit juice. He has committed himself to doing just that, and in the process has spoken to audiences around the globe and sold millions of books.

Jason explains that this is because the junk food that people eat lacks the nourishment that the body needs, and thus the body demands more and more of it to try to extract whatever goodness it can along the way. This benefits big food companies because people continue to consume their products.

How did he do it? Like all the best experts who resonate with their audience, one of Jason’s greatest strengths is that he speaks honestly about his own difficult personal experiences. He is not ashamed to reveal who he was and how far he has come, and instead uses his past to help millions of people establish a healthy relationship with food.

"It just stands to reason and common sense that if the vast majority of those diseases are caused by diet and lifestyle, then the simple answer, surely, is to change the diet and lifestyle," says Jason. He adds that “most foods that say 100% fat-free are loaded with white refined sugar. If something says sugar-free, chances are it has artificial sweetener in it. None of these things are what the body would eat in nature.”

"As a young man, I was addicted to junk food," Jason told the enraptured crowd at The Best You EXPO. "I was obese and had numerous illnesses, which I now classify as ‘lifestyle illnesses’. "I was covered from head to foot in an awful skin condition called psoriasis," he recalls, while behind him on stage an unflattering photo of his former self appears on screen. "It's an autoimmune disease where the skin repairs itself roughly four times faster than it should. I got these scales on the outside of the body. I also had severe eczema, and severe hayfever. It wasn't just itchy eyes, it was so bad that for years, every single summer I couldn't even leave my house - it was like the worst flu you've ever had. But the thing that affected my life a great deal was my asthma. I was given two lots of inhalers and steroids. Nobody looked for what might be the causes, only at how to manage them.”

If what you're eating is making you ill, Jason says you need to look at eating simple, whole foods. He explains, his eyes twinkling with energy: “there's only one place logically where anyone should be looking for their long term health, and it's the same place that wild animals look for their long term health and their nutrition – nature. We are the only creatures in the world that cook our food. You don't see a gorilla with a barbecue.”

The results of Jason's juicing philosophy can be extraordinary. In an experiment he ran and also filmed for the documentary Super-Juice Me!, Jason took eight people with chronic illnesses through a 28-day juicing programme at Juicy Oasis, his premier retreat in the heart of a Portuguese forest. Many of the clients had combinations of sleep apnea, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, asthma, morbid obesity, food addiction, pulmonary sarcoidosis, among problems. The transformative effects of living on specially prepared juices were extraordinary. One of the participants, who arrived needing to take 52 pills a day, was so transformed that afterwards his prescription was reduced to just two pills. Everyone saw vast improvements in their health, most experienced weight loss, and for many, addiction, and asthma and Crohn's disease were effectively cured. Jason is philosophical about these outcomes. While he does not claim that juice is the cure for everything, he believes that his results prove that many modern-day illnesses come from a poor understanding of how food affects one's life. "It seems really odd that we've reached the stage in medicine that we call alternative medicine anything other than medical drugs, and no-one questions that. Surely we should try plant-based medicines and then the alternative should be medical drugs, not the other way around” says Jason. “The way in which we are treating lifestyle diseases is flawed on so many levels. I'm simply saying that if you do two simple straightforward things, you simply remove the toxicity coming in, the rubbish and replace the deficiencies, then the body heals itself."

Similarly, processed foods are out. Jason explains that “if you find any foods with a label on, then maybe that's the problem. Whatever you're going to eat, you need to ask yourself this question ‘is this low human intervention food?’, that is, how many humans have interfered with this food before it came to me?"

Things came to a head for Jason when, after years of struggling with his many different illnesses, his doctor told him he wanted to treat his psoriasis with coal tar. "That's when the real crunch came for me," he says. "I said, 'coal tar? That sounds like the stuff you put on the road'. My doctor said, 'Yes, we want to put that on your skin and keep you in hospital for six weeks.’ It was at that point that I thought there's got to be another way.”

THE SPARK OF INSPIRATION

Chief Inspiration Officer of The Best You, Bernardo Moya, explains why we must ask ourselves the right questions

22 THE BEST YOU MAGAZINE

Bernardo Moya is an entrepreneur, writer, publisher, TV producer and seminar promoter for some of the biggest names in the world of personal development. As if this did not keep him busy enough, Bernardo is also the editor-in-chief of The Best You magazine, and the brains behind the brand’s annual EXPO. Driven to bring the positive message of selfhelp to the public, Bernardo’s ethos is simple: “I’m in the business of helping people achieve their dreams. Since I set up The Best You five years ago, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing amazing and inspiring people, such as Barbara DeAngelis, Harvey Goldsmith, Paul McKenna, Simon Sinek, Tanny Grey Thomson, and Steve Ridgway. It’s about taking their wisdom and inspirational advice and bringing it to as many people as possible.” Bernardo explains that “The Best You is all about giving you control over your life, whether that’s through alternative therapies, coaching, mentoring, inspirational stories or interviews. It’s about giving you the choices to become the best version of yourself.” For Bernardo, the personal development journey starts with looking at our lives and at the choices available to us. This critical assessment is key and it is why his talk at this year’s EXPO was not called The Answer, but The Question.

personal development EXPO in Europe. “I work with an amazing team, and I’m so proud of what we have achieved” says Bernardo. “Last year at the EXPO we had 3,000 square metres, three small seminar rooms and 50 exhibitors - this year it was to 6,000 square metres, eight seminar rooms and more than 100 exhibitors. It’s so encouraging to hear such great testimonials and to know we’re making a difference. We know this annual event is needed, and we’re learning how to make it even bigger and better.” “I put the EXPO together with the idea of helping those who have a message to come and share their expertise and wisdom, and for those who are looking to be inspired to come and meet these people and grow as a result” says Bernardo. “For me, working with people such as Richard Bandler and Paul McKenna has had a massive influence. “I love engaging with as many people as possible, and it’s always so satisfying to meet new faces and to try to help them find inspiration and their true meaning. I really want to spark something in their minds. You just know that someone who attended this year’s EXPO will be writing a book and speaking to an audience in the near future.”

“The bottom line is that we have to think about what we are here for, and what our legacy is - that is the essence of The Question,” says Bernardo. “Ultimately, we should all be here to make a difference - to live a more complete life.” “We must focus not only on making our own lives better, but on making the lives of those around us better too. So I ask the audience, what are you doing to make a difference? You might be working for a company which strives to make a better society, or on an individual level you might fight plastic being thrown into our seas. Whatever you’re doing, you need to think about making an impact globally” Bernardo explains. “But the whole journey is in you. It begins and ends in you. The quality of your life depends on the quality of the questions you ask yourself. The work I am involved in teaches people to take charge of their lives and look for opportunities.” For Bernardo, his own journey has enabled him to preside over what is now the largest

SHARON LECHTER

“THE BEST YOU EXPO OFFERS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR GREAT BUSINESS GROWTH”

WINNER OF THE BEST YOU LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD TALKS ABOUT HER LIFELONG DEDICATION TO FINANCIAL EDUCATION

24 THE BEST YOU MAGAZINE

Business mentor, international speaker, entrepreneur and author, Sharon Lechter, began her appearance at The Best You EXPO this year by making something very clear to the sizeable crowd. “I’m not trying to sell you anything,” she said. “My time up here, speaking to you, is about serving, not selling, and I would love to talk to each and every one of you about how to get the most out of your business.” Sharon knows better than almost anyone about the power of maintaining good relationships, whether it is with the audience you are speaking to or your partners in business. “Meeting people is also an opportunity for greater growth in your business,” Sharon explained. “You can become an expert by meeting other experts and learning from them.” She continued: “The greatest beauty of The Best You EXPO is that it allows you to meet potential collaborators, to match your talent and expertise with someone else’s. The power of association gives exponential growth - one plus one isn’t two, it’s 11. It is all about a good relationship. If you have a positive relationship with a customer, it means you have a lifelong customer.” Sharon's own expertise and talent for business was born out of personal experience. When her son found himself in credit card debt in 1992, Sharon decided that she would devote her life to spreading financial literacy and financial education. As a Certified Public Accountant, she was well qualified to help people understand money, and has being doing so spectacularly ever since. "At its heart, the solution to financial literacy is straightforward," she said. “If everyone would spend less than they earn, then that would be the end of my job. But, until that day, I am here to teach them about money."

Sharon's career took off in 1996 when she met a young man in cut-off shorts called Robert Kiyosaki. He had just come up with a new board game called Cashflow, and was seeking copyright advice from Sharon's lawyer husband. After a phone call with her husband, the pair met. "The concept of a $200 board game in the 1990s seemed really exclusive, so we decided to write a particularly effective brochure to promote it," she said. "That is when we wrote Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It was designed to be a $15 giveaway to promote the game, which was where the business was focused. We called ourselves Cashflow Technologies Ltd., but soon realised the game was not the product – Rich Dad, Poor Dad was." Before the age of social media, the book spread by word-of-mouth. A massive hit, it gave millions a new way to think about money, helping them change their lives and reach financial freedom. Sharon and Robert went on to write 15 more books, as well as producing audio and video materials together. It was a powerful partnership that transformed people’s lives around the world. In 2007, the pair went their separate ways, and Sharon chose to focus more on the individual, while Robert had more of an interest in corporate wealth. Sharon has since directed her main agenda to family finance, and her game Thrive Time helps teenagers understand the reality of money management.

"The greatest beauty of The Best You EXPO is that it allows you to meet potential collaborators, to match your talent and expertise with someone else’s”

According to Sharon, most people do not truly understand the difference between an asset and a liability. She said, "most people think about their relationship with money as the hours they spend on the treadmill at work. But it is not what you do for your paycheck, but what you do with it once you get it." Sharon believes that money should do the work itself, earning for you before you get out of bed, and she said “that is what being smart about money is, in a nutshell.” Yet, Sharon also imparts that financial literacy requires diversification. "Traditional financial planners talk about stocks versus bonds versus rates. True diversification is business assets, paper assets and real estate, so when one thing happens in one type of asset you will not be dramatically impacted," she said. Sharon understands that the path to empowerment is to have diversified assets that work for you, so you move from working for others to taking charge of your destiny.

"I worry for the younger generation," she said. "Despite the economy, we are still seeing kids graduate from school thinking they'll get a $75,0000 dollar-a-year job. Thrive Time teaches them life's realities." The game is not only about making money. It is cleverly constructed to ensure players understand the benefits and nuances of charitable giving. For example, a business opportunity arises when a player meets a contact at a charity, but this is only available to those players who pledged to give to charity. Sharon also works with the Napoleon Hill Foundation, founded for the famous writer of the world's most popular self-help book, Think and Grow Rich, a 25-year-long project first published in 1934 and encouraged by industrial magnate, Dale Carnegie.

In association with the Napoleon Hill Foundation, Sharon wrote Think and Grow Rich for Women, based on Hill's original. Intriguingly, she also edited one of Napoleon Hill's unpublished manuscripts, Outwitting the Devil. In this book, Hill talks about the setting for success strategies, exploring the effect of societal issues on wealth. "It was a revelation to me, seeing this whole new layer of thinking, which only added to his amazing work, Think and Grow Rich,"Sharon said While the original text remains as it was written by Hill, Sharon has brought the book completely up-to-date through numerous footnotes and modern-day references. "The book is more relevant now than ever," she said. "I think at the time it was considered too controversial. Napoleon Hill gives his opinions and observation on religion, relationships, sex and much more, and his family was reluctant to let the manuscript go public – that is why it has taken so long. It is well worth the read." In the future, Sharon plans to continue doing what she knows is her life’s mission: helping bring millions to financial independence. And, as her appearance at The Best You EXPO demonstrated, she continues to reach so many people and make their lives better.

"MY EXPO DIARY" Sara Davison, Smita Joshi and Francesca Meloni share their experiences as speakers at this year’s event

“I'M A TOTAL GEEK WHEN IT COMES TO PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT” Sara Davison’s Break-Up Recovery Retreats give people the tools they need to better cope with break-ups, deal with their negative emotions and move on with confidence. Sara enjoyed sharing her knowledge at this year’s EXPO: There are so many people going through difficult breakups and it's important to let them know that there are ways to help them cope better. I hope my talk demonstrated to the audience that relationships do come to an end, but it doesn't have to be the end of your life. It can be a golden opportunity to redesign your life just the way you want it. I wanted to share my techniques and strategies and give people a tool kit of information to survive and thrive after their breakup. I had a full room for my speaking slot at the EXPO, which was wonderful, but I haven’t always been confident speaking in public. I used to be very shy when I was younger and the thought of public speaking terrified

26 THE BEST YOU MAGAZINE

me. I certainly never dreamed I would do it for my career! I now get excited rather than scared before I speak; I focus on all the people I can help and that calms my nerves. Although some nerves are normal and help the adrenaline. My highlight of the EXPO has to be the mini coaching sessions at my stand, as I met some incredible people who were visiting the show. It's always important to let people know what you're doing in business and how it could help them. The EXPO gave me a great platform, and brings like-minded people together. I gave away free copies of my new book Uncoupling -How to survive and thrive after breakup and divorce to everyone who attended my talk this year. After my talk, a lot of people came to my stand to ask questions. I was commonly asked how I could help in their particular breakup situation. Every breakup is different, but my techniques can help everyone, so it's about tailoring them to suit the individual. Another aspect of the EXPO that I really enjoy is listening to other speakers as I’m a total geek when it comes to personal development. I never stop learning. This year Michelle Mone really moved me with her story. For more information visit

“THE BEST YOU EXPO HAS SUCH A HUGE REACH” This year was author, coach and yogi Smita Joshi’s first time at the EXPO, but it will not be her last. Here’s what Smita had to say about her experience: The biggest thing for any of us working in the personal development industry is to find the right audience, not just any audience, but the ones who are really interested in your individual offer and will connect with it. That for me has been the biggest challenge, and that is why this EXPO is so great. There is nothing quite like being on the ground, meeting people faceto-face to explain what you do and how you can help them. I’ve been to mind, body, spirit expos and they are one audience, yoga expos have another, but The Best You EXPO includes both of those, as well as personal development. It has a huge reach. I had some great interactions with people at my stand, and having that dialogue is how you build real relationships, and they become part of a community. For my talk Discover Your Power Within and Thrive – Four Techniques in 45 minutes, I spoke about something people think about a lot about, but don’t really know: one’s own power. How can you access it when you least feel like it? Specifically, when you feel down, angry or frustrated, which is when you need it most. I shared with the audience my four techniques for accessing that power. When utilized, these techniques enable individuals to create a toolkit that helps them think ‘what do I need now to help me feel better?’ and then doing it. It gives people the ability to get in touch with what I call the ‘Inner Diamond’, the source of their answers. I hope people left my talk feeling surprised. We hear the clichés a lot these days that we have to put in 20 years of studying before we have mastered something. But, the truth is you just have to start practising new skills, and that is how to become deeply competent. You need to get started in order to eventually master something. “A CHANCE TO HAVE TRULY MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS WITH INTERESTED PEOPLE” The work of life coach and NLP practitioner, Francesca Meloni, has had a single focus: to help people realise the potential within themselves by working on their mindset and limiting beliefs. Francesca shares her experiences from the EXPO: It doesn't matter whether you are struggling with your relationship, job or family. The root of any pain, worry or anxiety is the false belief that you are not good enough to deal with whatever life throws at you and that something is wrong with you. I believe that it all starts with the individual. Although we have been conditioned to believe that we will be happy when we find our soul mate, our dream job, financial stability and so forth, the reality is that nothing outside yourself will ever bring you enough happiness, fulfilment and emotional freedom desired. People need to believe that they are worthy, and that they are good enough before seeing the results they wish to see in their lives. The EXPO offered me the chance to meet new and existing clients. I try to stay in touch with people on Facebook, yet nothing can replace the personal experience of actually meeting. It gives me the opportunity to meet people and give a tailored message about what they need. I had some amazing exchanges with people; truly meaningful conversations with interested people, and some of them were deeply touched by it and left feeling better about themselves. I am so grateful for their support and encouragement, and that is why I love my job so much. I also loved seeing Jason Vale speak. His energy is amazing. I get so much from seeing inspirational people talk; focus, inspiration, commitment, it gives me the feeling that if they can do it, then so can I. MEET YOUR FUTURE BRAIN Dr. Jenny Brockis reveals the secrets to making your grey matter perform better

Nominated for the 2017 Best Personal Development Author Award by The Best You, Dr. Jenny Brockis is an internationally celebrated expert in brain fitness. After years working in hospitals, the self-described ‘futuremind planner’ decided to pursue post-graduate qualifications in Nutritional Medicine, Neuroleadership, and Mindfulness Meditation, to learn as much as possible about the workings of the brain. Jenny’s mission is to use her knowledge and experience to help people unlock their brain’s full potential while also caring for it as best they can. Her guide is set out in her debut book, Future Brain: The 12 Keys to Create Your High-Performance Brain. “I wanted to take what we know from brain science to help people empower themselves and really improve their brain’s fitness. This is going to help them today, but also in the future” said Jenny. According to Jenny, “cognitive health – how well we think, learn and remember – is now almost as important as physical health. Science shows that what you do with your brain in your midlife, around the age of 40, is crucial. You need to be doing certain things so you last the course with a healthy brain. And in the short term, looking after your brain will elevate your efficiency and performance.” Thanks to her accessible mix of solid science and good sense, Jenny is able to teach others about expanding the brain’s capability in order to get more out of life. She said that “the crucial components are Create, which are the lifestyle choices we know are important like eating, moving, sleeping, and stretching your mental muscle; Operate, which deals with focus, managing stress and navigating change; and lastly, Integrate, namely the importance of human to human connection. These components work together, and it is achieving a healthy combination that makes the biggest difference.” Jenny founded Brain Fit, a company focusing on brain highperformance. She also produces an e-newsletter and five-day e-learning course to reach and empower more people.

Regarding the business arena, Jenny believes that the brain is the busy professional's secret weapon for boosting mastery, efficiency, and productivity to gain that coveted competitive edge – whether that be in business or in your personal life. And there are some shocks in store. “We assume all stress is bad, but in fact we all need some stress, and you can use that to your advantage,” said Jenny, who goes on to extol the virtues of Mindfulness: “It’s taking the mindlessness out of activity, because we are all running on autopilot most of the time.” She explained that “pressing pause to quiet down our brain, can positively impact mental and physical health. Choosing to be a little bit quieter for a few minutes can really give you clarity, and can even have a huge impact on your immune system and the chromosomes which determine how long you live.” The best news is that it is never too late to get your brain is better shape. “The brain’s plasticity lasts until our 80s, so we can always learn and change things. It takes time and effort, but if you want it and persevere you can do it” said Jenny. Even if you know very little about grey matter, Jenny’s work reveals how the brain can be fine-tuned to reduce stress, and increase performance with sharper, more innovative outcomes, in all areas of life. HOW

TO BE FINANCIALLY FREE

Intention is the subtler reasoning behind why you want what you think you want, and it is so important because this subjective, emotional element greatly impacts what we create in the external world. Meaning, even if you are employing the right strategies for making or maintaining money, if your undercover intentions do not align with your strategic objective then you will end up getting your intent rather than your intended outcome. Applying the power of intention to your financial life involves ensuring that your monetary aspirations are aligned with your intent (why you want it). When fully aligned, subjectively you can be a master manifestor in your objective world.

THE SEARCH FOR FINANCIAL SECURITY Too good to be true? Not according to Sandy C. Newbigging

Money - the root of all kinds of evil, or a route to enlightenment and personal freedom? With the right attitude and relationship with money, I believe it is the latter. If we define money in terms of physical currencies, such as bank notes, coins and cash deposited in bank accounts, there is currently around £70 trillion kicking about. Whereas if we include other forms of nonphysical money, including digital currency and funds invested in financial products, then the total runs into the quadrillions (that’s 15 zeros!). This means that money is both a physical and a nonphysical entity. I affirm this notion because the nature of money impacts how we relate to it. We all have an objective (physical/ outer) and a subjective (nonphysical/inner) experience of money. We have the objective reality of how much money we physically possess and a subjective inner experience of how it feels to have that amount of money. This distinction can be further exemplified by considering why you want money. Common answers include: to buy things, like property, cars, food, holidays etc. and to feel safe, secure, happy and free. These responses clearly show that there are objective financial desires like property and holidays, and subjective fiscal aspirations like security and freedom. As we grow up, it is common to accumulate a massive amount of conditioning that messes with our inner experience of money. We have come to rely upon money to define our sense of self and to feel safe, secure, valuable and free. This strategy is destined to fail, because if we seek these subjective experiences from outside means then they will forever be dependent on fluctuating financial conditions. It therefore pays dividends to invest in improving our subjective inner relationship with money is if we want our financial experience to Kickstarter the improve.

world’s largest funding platform for creative A HEALTHIER RELATIONSHIP WITH WEALTH projects, helping millions of placed people Millions of people have far too much importance on make their dreams money, and a rebalancing of powerais needed in order to return toreality a more sane serene coexistence with finances. andand live a truly Those frustrated by the amount of money they have and rich life

who consistently find it hard to make more, tend to have a conflicted inner relationship with money. The same goes for people with money, who are worried about losing it. Our inner world is the basis on which we build our outer world, and thus by establishing the right inner foundation, one can move from frustration or fear to feeling financially free (without working additional hours).

One of the most widely held reasons for wanting money is to achieve ‘financial security’. Being safe and secure are primary concerns for most people; however, attempting to acquire an inner sense of security from externally obtained finances is a risky and ineffective strategy. If you require money to feel secure then you will resist anything below the magic amount you believe will deliver the security you are searching for. At the heart of this mentality is fear and feeling incapable, unsafe, and powerless. Instead, the aim is to remain secure without any fixed financial requirements determining your sense of security. To achieve this, you must stop yourself whenever you seek security from outside means, and instead affirm “I can feel secure without financial security.” I also recommend reading Calm Cure to attain peace with any personal issues that stand between you and a rock solid inner sense of security.

THE SECRET TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM During my journey towards becoming financially free, it did not matter how much money I had because I never enjoyed it or felt free. I spent my days swinging from frustration to fear; frustrated, because I did not have enough. Yet, when I achieved my financial goals, I immediately swung into feeling scared about losing what I had worked so hard to acquire. As written in Calm Cure, the strategy for financial freedom does not solely focus on having ‘loads-a-money’, but in a willingness to experience the full spectrum of financial possibilities, from rich to poor and everything in between. I appreciate that this may be a big thing to explore. But remember, you remain connected to what you resist. If you are in conflict with your current financial status, then you will most likely remain where you are. If you are at the lower income end and want to move up the spectrum, then you should do the inner work required to be at peace with how much money you currently have. If you consider yourself to be rather rich, then fear not, this strategy won’t cause you to lose money either. It just means that if your financial situation does happen to change, then you won’t suffer. Affirm: “I can feel secure without financial security”. When you are at peace with the full spectrum of financial possibilities, the inner conflict, which keeps you lacking or in fear, collapses. As a result, you will more easily transition into greater levels of physical wealth with true emotional freedom.
