Andhra Pradesh

On the occasion of Teachers Day, the Scouts and Guides of AP Model School, Orvakal, Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh State Bharat Scouts and Guides traditionally honoured the teachers with garland, shawl, sindoor etc. Little kids gave speeches on Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Assam

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Assam State successfully conducted Refresher Course for Cub Masters and Scout Masters virtually from 25th to

31st of August, 2021. Participants from 11 Districts of Assam participated in the Course.

Second Camp of COVID-19 Vaccination was organized by NSS Unit & IQAC of Jawaharlal Nehru College, Boko in collaboration with Boko PHC/FRC & Amrit Prabha Ranger Team, J.N. College, Boko, Kamrup (R), Bharat Scouts and Guides, Assam at the College campus on 30/08/2021. 362 people were vaccinated in the camp. Shri L. K. Sarma, President of General Board along with the Principal Dr. Tapan Dutta were present in the camp.

Delhi

Maharana Scouts and Maitreyee Guides Group of Delhi State BSG rendered services in the Krishna Janamashtami Utsav on 30th August, 2021 at Shri Hinglaj Devi Mandir, Naraina. Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers led by Group Leader (G) Aayushi Gupta, Rover Scout Leader Shanu Singh and Flock Leader Neha helped in controlling the crowd; and running of First-Aid post and lost and found desk;. They also helped in maintaining Covid protocol by ensuring hand sanitization; wearing of face mask and social distancing among the devotees at the temple premises.

The Maharana Scouts and Maitreyee Guides Group of Delhi State BSG celebrated World First Aid Day on 12 September 2021.

The groups had a session by Dr. Brijender Singh, AGL (S) on SDG with emphasis on goal 3 which addresses Good Health and well being followed by a practical session on first aid by Dr. Arun Kumar Gupta, LT (R).

Haryana

In order to celebrate AZADI KA AMRIT MAHAVOTSAV AND FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN and also to strengthen the activities of Rovering in the State, a Service cum Fit India Trekking programme

was physically organised from Sept 03-09, 2021 after a gap of twenty months due to Covid -19, pandemic.

The event was attended by the 151 Rovers from registered open Groups of the State. Since the training Centre was not used for the last so many months there was a dire need to launch a service camp to clean the surroundings of the, Hostel and HWB Sites of Training centre at TARADEVI.

Under the Fit India Freedom Run a Trekking programme on Zig Zag path to Shri Taradevi Mata Temple covering about 12KM through dense forest was organized to enable the participants to be Physically fit and mentally strong . Celebration of TEACHERS’s DAY in a befitting way and the campfire were the other highlights of the programme .

A Tree plantation drive was also organised to mark the TEACHER’S DAY 0N 05-SEPT 2021 by planting more than 85 trees of Devdar, Indian Oak and Chinar at the training centre. These trees were donated by Shri K.S. Thakur, a retired Officer from the Forest department. Our gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Thakur for the Good Turn to the Centre and also to serve the Mother Nature and environment The event came to an end with the final remarks by the Leader of the Event Shri L.S. On 29th August 2021 National Sports Day was celebrated by Mountaineers Scouts Open Group, Solan under the Project Helping Little Hands at Himgiri Kalyan Ashram in which Kabaddi Competition, Matka Phod Competition and Cultural programs were organized on Janmashtami and patriotic themes.

Jammu and Kashmir

J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides, State Headquarters, Gandhi Nagar Jammu has started the Rajya Puraskar testing in a phased manner by following all

the Covid-19 Protocol from 25thto 29thAugust, 2021. 28 Scouts and Guides from APS Kaluchak, APS Badi Bari and APS Ratnuchak of Jammu participated in the testing camp. Both written and practical were conducted by the trainers under the direction of Mtr. Nasreen Khan, Administrator, J&K BS&G. The testing was conducted by the training team of State Headquarters.

Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav - India @75. A programme was organized by Nehru Yuvakendra Sangathan Jammu at M.A.M College Jammu on 3rd September, 2021, in which 25 Scouts/Guides /Rovers & Rangers of J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides took active part.

Meghalaya

The Meghalaya State Bharat Scouts and Guides conducted the All-Faiths Prayer Meeting under the theme "Tolerance and Respect for all Religions" . It was held at Baden Powell Auditorium, State Headquarters, Shillong on 31stAugust 2021. The prayer meeting was led by Mrs. A. Swer, State Secretary in the presence of 20 members. The main purpose of the meeting was to offer prayers for the safety of our loved and dear ones from the threat of the COVID – 19. A short video message related to the theme was delivered by Shri D. P. Wahlang, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya and State Chief Commissioner of Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides.

Nagaland

The Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides participated in the “Azadi Ka Mahotsav- Let us sing the National Anthem” in which 9 members participated from the State.

Messenger of Peace State Coordinator, Mr.Imlisunep along with 2 MoP local coordinators conducted a field visit to introduce Messengers of Peace initiatives to the Kewhimia Rangers and Rovers, and to enroll them in Scout.org.

The APDJ division of Bharat Scouts and Guides, NFRLY celebrated TEACHERS DAY on 5th September, 2021. The day was celebrated by THANKING the Mothers for being the first teacher of our life. Bulbul, Guides and Rangers made beautiful greeting cards for their mothers. They shared the photographs with their Unlit Leaders on different social media sites.

Odisha

Odisha State Bharat Scouts & Guides celebrated

“Raksha Bandhan” in each corner of the State. In this connection our Guides & Rangers tied Rakhis to Hon’ble MLA & President,OS, BS&G Sj. Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Vice President Sj. Sarada Prasad Nayak, our beloved Sate Chief Commissioner Dr. Kali Prasad Mishra, Commissionerate Police,Traffic Police, Media persons, Public and even to the plants. More than 236 Guides and Rangers participated.

The Basic Training Courses for Scout Masters and Guide Captains were organized virtually from 16th to 24th August, 2021in which 21 Scout Masters and 19 Guide Captains participated. COVID 19 Awareness sessions were organised by Odisha State Bharat Scouts & Guides from the year 2020 to till date. Around 1328 uniformed members have joined in this door to door campaigns being organised in all districts.

The members distributed handmade masks, soaps, dry foods, cooked foods, and leaflets on safety rules about healthy mind and also safety measure for CORONA Virus (COVID-19), at each and every corner in different districts of Odisha. They also demonstrated the ideal way of handwashing in public areas for awarness.

The Mega Blood Donation Camp i.e. “Jiban Bindu” was inaugurated by Sj. Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak,Hon’ble MLA & President, OSBSG in the presence of Sj. Ananta Narayan jena,Hon’ble MLA & Vice President, OSBSG, Sj. Sushant kumar Rout, MLA & Vice-President, OSBSG with Sj. Arup Kumar Pattnaik, Retd. IPS & Convenor, Mo Parivar, Odisha at State Headquarters, Unit -03, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Kali Prasad Mishra, National Vice President and State chief Commissioner, OSBSG presided over the event. The event will continue till the end of September and will be organised throughout the state phase by phase.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was organized by Odisha State Bharat Scouts & Guides in the Month of August at Rural areas, Roads, Public Places etc. more than 1279 Scouts and Guides from all over the state actively did cleaning work, created awareness about cleanliness & also demonstrated use of Dustbins in their localities. Most of the Guides watered the plants and also planted trees in the districts.

South Western Railway

Seminar and quiz competition were organised for 50 Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers on ‘Quit India Movement’ at SHQ. BSG Hubballi on 07th August, 2021.

Shri Ravi Kumar, State Chief Commissioner was the Chief Guest while Shri Alok Kumar, President BSG was the Guest of Honour. All the state office bearers and other dignitaries were also present.

As the part of Amrit Mahotsav, SWR BSG, organized Seminar on Women Empowerment for the members of Bharat Scouts and Guides at State Headquarters on 8th August, 2021. A group discussion was organised under the able guidance of Smt. Jamuna Kanakaraya, State Commissioner Guides, central hospital Hubballi.
