Welcome to this great ANOC Day 2014 everyone. My name is Chief Godwin Nwufo – Ezeakonobi. I am honored and thankful to be given the opportunity to lead this great association. I am also thankful to be surrounded with supportive members. On behalf of the honorable ANOC USA members and our beautiful ANOC women, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to this fun filled event. We are gathered here today to celebrate the Igbo title taking and Igbo cultural heritage. The Igbo nation is blessed with everything that makes a great nation. Every Igbo man, woman, and child here today should be proud to be an Igbo because we are people of dignity and integrity. Our ANOC motto is “Ezeokwu bu ndu”. This literally means that “truth is life”. We are not here today to make long speeches but we will entertain you the best way we know how and there will be plenty of food and drinks for everyone present with no exceptions. We will enjoy until everyone is tired and we intend to party until the morning. We will also talk a little about our cultures few important areas so that those of us who do not know will learn. We have great people here that are running today’s event and those people will be responsible to ensuring that everyone here is treated with respect and dignity. Lastly, my appreciation goes out to our members for the efforts devoted to make this event a reality. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria Long live Igbo Culture Long live ANOC USA Igbo Kwenu, Nigeria Kwenu, America Kwenu, Igbo Kwezuo nu!!! I thank you all.
