editor’s note Life has been lousy with super pretty styled shoots this last little while, my friends. What a treat to call hanging out with incredible stylists, hair and makeup artists, and photographers “work”. Playing dress-ups with the most amazing dresses on our pretty models and gorgeous guys in spiffy suits is like having my own life-size dolls! The little girl in me very much enjoys this side of the gig.

In fairness, although it is quite obviously the best fun, it actually is an awful lot of hard work! From all the pre-planning to the very long hours on the day, the back-breaking work of setting up and packing down… Let’s just say, my hat goes off to the teams that do this every week. I never fail to be impressed by talent we are spoiled to have at our fingertips here on the Sunshine Coast. Our two shoots this edition are both coastal, but each unique with one taking place at a Noosa fine dining restaurant on the river, while the other at a resort – the only local location where you can have a marquee wedding right on the beach. A highly anticipated new offering we are excited to announce. Find these inspiration overloads on pages 10 and 54 respectively. Much love to you, beautiful brides!

Noosa comes from the Aboriginal word, meaning “Shady Place”, so it’s quite fitting to spend a relaxing wedding day celebrating under a tree canopy, appreciating the beauty of the natural surrounds. Flowing auburn locks tamed into pretty curls pulled into a sleek, yet natural sideswept style. Warm taupe tones with a hint of the dramatic to feature the eyes and a bronze-nude lip; delicious on our Autumn bride.

As though plucked from the forest floor, the woodlands-inspired foliage of Umbrella Fern and Forest Lace was enhanced by the warm Autumn tones of Mocha Roses, Montbrethia Berry and Pineapple Lilly.

Isaac donned a three-piece suit of grey with black detail, worn in a relaxed manner sans tie in a nod to the natural waterfront setting.

In a pretty waterfront setting on the Noosa River, there's nothing to do but let nature take the spotlight and complement her with the natural fibres of a macramĂŠ arbour adorned by florals. An antique wooden desk for a marriage certificate signing table provides a sweet rustic element.

A statement centerpiece is anchored by Raw Lichen Logs and Smokey Joe Proteas as the focal points, while our grey marble element was emphasized with Tetragona nuts, succulents, Dusty Miller, Budding Wattle, and the unique elements of Spanish moss and Peacock tail feathers.

Fresh local produce is used in Noosa Waterfront's creative contemporary dishes for a true fine dining experience. Contemporary two-tiered cake design with golf leaf and fresh florals, featuring feathers, foliage and small branches to tie in with the Autumn forest theme.
