editor’s note I keep seeing memes pop up on social media claiming it’s only so many weeks till Christmas. I can’t help but wonder if the people creating said memes do so out of joy for the impending holiday season, or in glee for the ominous loom it brings to some. Or a little of both? As a lover of all things Christmassy, I am thoroughly looking forward to the time for gathering of kinfolk, the exchanging of presents, the eating of the delicious morsels... The most delectable of which in my family comes about on Boxing Day early evening when we all sit down with mini Yorkshire puddings and Pimms and watch the Doctor Who Christmas special. It may be the only time throughout the year that I willingly watch the show, but it’s a tradition I absolutely adore. The other tradition I have upheld for the past few years is to purchase some of my Christmas gifts for my family from the Destiny Rescue jewellery line. I love to support this beyond worthy cause all year round, and at Christmas I feel it’s particularly important to show some less fortunate part of the world that amidst all our privileged celebrations, we’ve taken a moment to send them some love. I know it’s early, but apparently it’s only eight Fridays till Christmas, so I’m going to wish you and your families a very safe and happy holiday season from The Bride’s Tree Team.
