Meet… Kate Ellen Makeup Artist
editor’s note I don’t know about you guys, but I want my 2017 to count. There seems to be an almost tangible swelling in the global community, and I think whether you’re riding the barrel, part of the crash and settling amongst that glorious foam, or sat stationary on the shore beneath, will matter. This year I’ll be making my own waves with causes close to my heart. I feel like I’ve spent a few years saying I’ll become more involved soon… well now is the time, and The Bride’s Tree will be a part of that. Watch this space!

Over Summer we have been busily putting together this, our 20th edition of our magazine. Another incredible milestone on this wild journey… To think five years ago we put out the very first edition, which felt like a dream come true at the time. Honestly, I’m still pinching myself now that I get to do this for a crust. As if the heavens remembered how we all mucked in with cyclonic weather for our very first photo shoot, we were… let’s say blessed… with another dismal day for our Flaxton shoot! You would hardly know from the images, but I’m sure you’ll spot some sprinkles on the cutlery and general dampness in our Preppy Wedding shoot. Such is life, and we have never shied away from a spot of rain before, so why start now? Happy wedding planning, pals!

Meet Kate Ellen,
makeup artist
Our A-list Vendor, Kate Ellen, travelled to New York to further her skills by attending Kim Kardashian’s personal makeup artist’s masterclass. “Attending the Mario Masterclass has made me more confident in my makeup work. After hearing Mario's story and how far he has come, and how successful he is now, it just gives me confidence to keep growing and following my passion for makeup! You never know how far it will take you. I have a lot of new products that I have brought back from the USA, which means creating new makeup looks for my lovely brides and more attention to detail in my makeup application after learning so many new techniques from Mario Dedevinovic!”
