looks of the September Cruisin’ Calendar, it’s gonna be a barn burner of a fall. Now, all we must do is keep the pesky guva’ment out of it, and we can go play to our heart’s content. There are two mountain rallies, Thunder In The Smokies and Cherokee Blue Ridge Run, very distinct from each other and both offer fun and games and great riding roads both are on Sept 10-12. How about a street rally in the heart of WinstonSalem? Camel City Bikefest is September 18. If you have a hankering for the coast, Outer Banks Harley-Davidson is hosting Bikefest September 22-26. Cox’s Harley-Davidson has been celebrating their 60th anniversary all year long with rallies and parties on going in September, with a finale on October 9th. Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson has reinstated Capital City Bikefest Sept 17-19, continuing the legacy Ray Price began in 2005. September also marks the 20th anniversary of 9/11, with many commemorating the bravery of our first responders and remembering those lost. I, for one, cherish the memory of patriotic love and camaraderie lavished by Americans on our friends and neighbors during the few years after 9/11. Wouldn’t it be lovely to return to that unity of spirit? There is also plenty of benefit rides, bike shows, and parties in September that along with the rallies, sets the stage for the goings on of October. Namely, Mayhem in Midway on October 15-16. Mayhem is planned to be an old school biker field party, with live music, biker games, bike show, Ms. Mayhem competition for pretty biker chicks, vendors, and cold beverages. What more could you ask for? How bout a chopper raffle! Check out the bike on the front cover and page 4-5. All this is proudly arranged by The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine with the support of a host of biker businesses – check out the two-page ad for details. BTW, the contests offer $2600 in cash prizes! Tickets will be on sale soon at FullThrottleMagazine.com. On another note, this magazine has a lot of territory to cover in the Carolinas, and we are always interested in bikers who would like to earn a little cash by becoming a local sales rep. We have a proven system; you need only provide some local expertise with a touch of ambition. Give us a call and become part of the family. Most importantly, ride safe and ride often. See you out there!

BUILDS CHARITY CHOPPER To Benefit Salisbury VA Hospital Hospice Unit Blaylock is known for being an excellent mechanic. He’s been a motorcycle mechanic for the past 16 years, graduating from MMI in 2005 and working under Don Tilley for a number of years while earning the Master Of Technology title. He opened Pandemonium Performance Custom Cycles in 2014 and is now located at 1121 S. Main St. in Lexington, NC. His shop is a constant rumble of bikes as satisfied customers leave and those in need of service, custom work or engine upgrades roll in. The huge amount of work keeps his lifts full and his crew busy. Kary has also been a huge supporter of the upcoming Mayhem In Midway Bike Rally and on top of sponsoring and assisting in finding the location of the Rally (Zimmerman Rd. Welcome, NC), Kary thought of another way to help the rally and his local community. He called the Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine with an idea to build a bike to raffle off at Mayhem In Midway. A crack team of motorcycle visionaries was put together, a plan was hatched, and the build was put into motion! Kary wanted to make sure that the bike was an old school chopper and the proceeds would benefit a solid local charity. A suggestion from Shannon Rights of Tom McGrath’s Motorcycle Law Group that the proceeds from the raffle go to the Salisbury VA Hospital Hospice Unit was an absolute no brainer. ary
So Kary got to work on the Charity Chopper and with the help of his shop mechanics, Josh and Keyla, has built a really sweet ride for YOU to win! Naturally Kary had a little help from his friends and has sourced parts from The Rebel Spirit, BDL Beltdrives, LePera Seats, Paugcho Motorcycle Accessories and more. The ghost flame paint job was donated by High Point Body & Paint and the powder coating was done by Aegis Armors. Kary made sure that the 1340 Harley-Davidson Evo engine was in tip top condition and ready to power this bad ass bike. Now all that is left is for YOU to win it so Kary can hand over a hefty check to the Salisbury VA Hospital Hospice Unit. All ya gotta do is buy a ticket or 10 for $25 each and you could ride off on this sweet chopper and help out our local VA Hospice Unit. The bike will be given away on October 16 at the Mayhem In Midway event (see 2-page ad in this issue!) but you do not have to be present to win. You can stop by Pandemonium Performance Custom Cycles and purchase your tickets in person or go to the website below and snag ‘em online. Either way you will end up with ticket stubs to verify your purchase. If you are looking for a great shop to make your HarleyDavidson the best it can be or you just need some routine maintenance, you need to go by Pandemonium Performance Custom Cycles in Lexington, NC. Kary and his crew will take good care of you and your ride. While you are there, snag a few tickets to help out the VA Hospice Unit!!

Tilley H-D Sunday Bash Is Back

‘Bitch Rona’ caused. Bikers are getting back to normal. And normal around this part of Cackalackie is The Sunday Bash at Tilley Harley-Davidson in Statesville, NC. I had to hussle back from the creek for the Sunday Bash. I’m thinking it’s been seventeen years now Tilley Harley-Davidson, Statesville, NC, has welcomed local bikers on the third Sunday of July for Ronnie’s Sunday Bash. Yeah, we know Ronnie Carver retired a while back, but years ago Robinette Tilley told me it will always be Ronnie’s Bash. He was there smiling and shaking hands too. The Bash started as just something for bikers to do on a summer Sunday afternoon. For years The Bash has drawn riders from across the Carolinas just to come hang out for a while. Great seeing folks I’ve known since my first summer back in North Carolina and new friends I’ve met out riding recently. orget last year and all the hassles that
Once you got parked and waved to friends, you could go inside for a little cool air and some great deals on motorcycles and gear. Big sales and discounts for The Bash. The proceeds from the Sunday Bash go to a fantastic cause, Victory Junction Gang Camp. Tilley H-D has a long association with NASCAR drivers and staff. For many years, Don Tilley was the man providing NASCAR Folks with fast Harleys. Kyle Petty, yes Richard’s son, is the founder of Victory Junction Gang Camp. Don rode many miles across America with the Pettys on their annual charity ride. Bikers could get some hot tasty burgers and dogs and a cold beer or soda for lunch and sit in the shade of the big tent. Anna’s Sweet Treats was serving up goodies for when your tongue was tuned for that. The Twisted Covenant MSC was there promoting the charities they support such as Riding For You and The Children’s Advocacy And Protection Center. I’d like to win any of the guns in their raffle. Bob Karney, Carolinas’ Biker Lawyer, was represented by one of the calendar ladies at Tilley’s. She was posing for photos and handing out goody bags. The Big Bulldog was there. I don’t know if they have named it yet. I suggested B.K. but that is too simple. Rockie Lynn played that afternoon so folks were there to hear his band. They play lots of patriotic songs, praising the military, police, fire fighters and those who live and work to serve other Americans. He is a co-founder of the Tribute To The Troops organization. As I sat under the tent eating lunch and listening to Rockie sing about American heroes I thought about his words. Good thing we had lots of napkins; cause folks were wiping away more than just sweat from their eyes. Rockie and the staff will soon hold the 10th Annual Tribute To The Troops Memorial Ride and Concert/Banquet. This year, they will be visiting the homes of six families of our fallen heroes to let them know they have not been forgotten. Saturday, Oct. 9, the Tribute Ride will

that, those who registered to win nationally also got entered locally for a 1 in 200 chance to win a VIP Campsite at Full Throttle Saloon’s Pappy Hoel Campground complete with concert wristbands or an autographed guitar by Jackyl’s Jesse James Dupree. Statesville HOG chapter director Jim Deuel won the trip. Amy Hill took home the guitar. Five additional customers won swag bags filled with t-shirts and bandanas. Get there early and ready to ride. As the Sunday Bash wound down, some prizes were given out. Rolling Sturgis Tilley prize winners were chosen. Starting in July, Tilley H-D was the only NC dealership partnered with Mighty Loud Productions for “Rolling Sturgis”, a month-long national promotion that offered customers a chance to win a new motorcycle and some really cool trips. Dillon’s Ride By: Jerry Andrews
Dillon C. Baldridge from Youngsville, North Carolina was killed June 10, 2017, Serving During Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. His death occurred in Peka Valley, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. Corporal Baldridge served with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 3rd Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Company D, 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, KY. Corporal Baldridge was posthumously promoted to Sergeant (E-5). Readers of this magazine know, bikers are a patriotic, supportive community. From the beginning of this tragedy the biker community rallied around the Baldridge family, the Patriot Guard Riders escorted Dillon’s body from the airport in Wilkes County to West Jefferson. Consequently, Patriot Guard Ride Captain Benny Hayslett met with Baldridge’s parents, Tina Palmer and Chris Baldridge. Hasylett vowed to never allow their son’s name to be forgotten. That commitment led to the 1st Annual Dillon’s Ride, on his birthday, July 18th, 2020. The ride offered emotional support to the family and $4,050 (to date) in financial support for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). The ride would be scheduled annually as close to Dillon’s birthday as possible, today it is scheduled for the third Saturday of July each year. In 2020, 110 bikes lined up at the event’s key sponsor, Crossroads Harley-Davidson, North Wilkesboro. For this year’s ride, rain was in the forecast and the numbers or riders were down to 80 but a meandering ride up scenic Highway 21 was spectacular. The ride was supported by the Wilkesboro, North Wilkesboro, and Sparta Police Departments as well as the Wilkes and Alleghany County Sheriff’s Departments. The town of Sparta opened its doors to the riders (and public) for lunch and shopping. The skies opened up with liquid sunshine during the lunch break but as the time for “kickstands up” orporal
approached, the skies cleared and the blue skies held throughout the ride to Ashlawn Memorial Park, Jefferson, NC. At Dillon’s grave site, prayers were offered and an honor guard from Sparta VFW fired a 21gun salute and taps were played. During the visit at the graveside, several sol-

diers from Dillon’s unit laid a beautiful patriotic wreath. After departing the cemetery, riders made their way back towards Deep Gap crossing U.S. 221/U.S. 421 overpass dedicated to Sgt. Dillon Baldridge. Arriving back at Crossroads, riders were entertained by Rockie Lynne and his band. The local HOG Chapter provided hot dogs and all the trimmings. While many sponsors have contributed to every aspect of this project, the Cleveland Truck plant Daimler/Freightliner Ride of Pride Truck, Tom McGrath’s Motorcycle Law Group, Sparta Florist, and several others have supported this ride since its inception. We appreciate their support.

Big Tim Honeycutt July 29,1957-April 28, 2021
By: Rick Nail
Tim Honeycutt, Husband, Father, Biker Brother, and CBA member rode out of his earthly bounds on April 28, 2021. Tim is survived by his wife, Jody, and his son, Harlee and his fiancée, along with a lot of friends, brothers, Roosters, and CBA members. Tim was doing what he loved, going to meet his love (Jody), riding the bike he loved, on a road he loved, and going to a place he loved, Riders Roost, where he and Jody had their own cabin. No one saw the wreck, but the Highway Patrol said he straightened out a curve. When found, he was only 3 feet from his bike. His family and his friends and brothers think Tim had a medical event and was probably dead before he hit the ground. Tim’s bike wasn’t damaged very much. The next day, Harlee rode his Dad’s bike from the wrecker yard to the Roost. Jody said Harlee left the Roost a boy and rode back in as a man. Tim was a proud Veteran and Patriot and a Trump supporter. Tim served his country as an Army paratrooper and Special Forces. On one mission, Tim and a motorcycle were dropped behind enemy lines to mark a target. The helicopter sent to pick up Tim was shot down. Tim had to steal more gas for the motorcycle and evade the enemy to get back to his company. ig
Tim had served 3 years and had made 174 jumps. One the 175th jump, his parachute failed to deploy correctly. Tim cut his main chute and pulled his reserve chute. His reserve chute had just opened up and he hit the ground. Tim hit the ground hard and broke his back. He left the Army 6 months later after a lot of recovery. He continued to have back problems up until the end. Tim worked as a mechanic at the Transmission Center in Concord until a brand new cut off tool exploded in his face. Tim lost an eye due to this accident. Tim and Jody opened up a bar in China Grove, The Main Street Pub. About that time, CBA merged the Rowan County Chapter and formed the Cabarrus-Rowan County Chapter and Tim and Jody joined CBA. Tim was always cooking for everyone, either at the Roost or at the CBA Bike Show & Swap Meet. He was also known for his famous Yoo-hoo chocolate beverage. Tim will be greatly missed and NEVER forgotten by his Family and his Biker Brothers and Sisters. On July 30, there was a Memorial held for Tim at Riders Roost. A few tales and history were told about Tim by several people. There was a lot of smiles and tears in the crowd. Jody spread some of Tim’s ashes at the Memorial Tree up there. Ride In Peace, Big Tim! You will never be forgotten!

Poker Run For Robyn Scott
The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine
By Len “3 Wheel” Montgomery
ife comes at you fast, like the wind.
And it always seems to bring change. Change can come in all shapes and sizes. It can be good, like a new job or a newborn child for example. But it can also be devastating, leaving you wondering how you got to a certain point. And how do you go on? On April 14, 2021, Randy Brown and his fiancée, Robyn Scott, were riding to meet up with friends at one of their favorite hangouts. Typically, they would have taken I‐95 South to get there. But this day they chose to travel down NC Hwy 301 S. The ride would bring a change to so many and leave Robyn devastated. NC Hwy 301 has a 55-mph speed limit at the intersection of Pittman Road. Randy was doing the speed limit when a pickup, going a mere 10 mph, pulled into Randy’s path, according to the Highway Patrol’s report. This left no time to respond. There were no skid marks at the crash at all. Sadly, Randy died at the scene. Robyn was severely injured and transported to Wake Med in Raleigh where she was hospitalized for nearly a month. The driver of the truck, Jimmy Radford, was not injured. He was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle by the NC Highway Patrol. Results of the charges are pending currently I believe. Robyn doesn’t really remember anything about the accident. She doesn’t really remember much of anything for several weeks afterwards. With a shattered pelvis requiring a plate and several screws, she has endured much rehabilitation and has a way to go. She did tell me that Randy had always protected her. And she feels he protected her that day as well. William Fretwell, a close friend, had recently been the victim of online bank fraud. Randy Brown had been one of the first to respond with an envelope of cash and a case of beer.
And so, with bills continuing to roll in for even the basics of necessities for Robyn, as a member of 301 Brothers, Will proposed a benefit for her. And even though most of the members had not met Randy or Robyn, they were all ready to lend a hand. Poker Runs are always fun, especially when the weather cooperates. However, the day did not begin with sunshine and blue skies. Several people called to see if the run would be postponed. But there was no backup plan: the ride would go as planned, rain or shine. And rain it did, not torrential downpours mind you, but enough to cool you off on a hot summer day. A few riders were damp upon arrival. But by the time kickstands up rolled around, we had a dozen or so bikes. The first leg of the run was short and dry. Enroute to Saddle Up Saloon, we picked up an additional rider. Linda, the owner, and Samantha had the doors open and ready for us. And with the radar showing a good size storm heading straight for us, we stayed for a few extra drinks. And yet, no rain. So, we headed out to the second stop, Big Daddy’s Roadhouse. Of course, two minutes after leaving, the rain began to fall. And for about 10 minutes it continued. Then the clouds parted like the Red Sea and the skies were blue for the rest of the day. Everyone was dry by the time we arrived at Big Daddy’s Roadhouse where we were met by a huge crowd. Some had been following our progress via Facebook and were there to donate. We picked up several new riders as well. And after getting properly hydrated, we headed to our third stop. Pitchers Bar had yet another large crowd when we arrived. And again, many who were unable to be on the run, were there to make donations. And yes, we picked up a rider or two to bring us to over twenty bikes for the final leg of the run. We took the back roads back to 301 Brothers Clubhouse where once again, we were greeted by a good size crowd.
www.
FullThrottleMagazine.com
What had begun as a low turnout due to weather had morphed into a great day. Chicken plates were ready when we arrived. The chicken had been donated by Pastor John Jernigan of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Four Oaks, NC and Frankie Keene had sauced it up just right for us. Robyn Scott had arrived, along with Randy’s son Matt, who had traveled from Maryland with his eight children to be there for Robyn and to honor his dad. Robyn would tell me later that Matt has been to every benefit for her since April, and that he plans to drive down once again when a memorial is placed at the crash site to honor Randy. Matt also calls Robyn every day on his lunch break to check on her. With the poker run, plate sales, cash donations and silent auction, a little over $2,300 was raised that day. Robyn was amazed that people who really had not met her would put in the effort to do that for her and she was very appreciative. But we know that the biker community looks after its own. 301 Brothers wishes you a speedy recovery Robyn, and the best of health for many years to come. And our condolences go out to all of Randy’s family.

Bikers Win Big At Shark Tank Bar Bike Night
The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine
24
By: Lincoln Infield
s the bike night season wears down, we finished
off a series of Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine Bike Nights that included $150 Best Bike On The Lot Contests. We enlisted the help of Carolinas’ Biker Lawyers, Bob Karney and Sean Clayton, to help us award these worthy bike show riders and Karney Law Firm rep Danea and I have doled out a total of$600 in cold hard cash at bike nights! We had such a great time at the Shark Tank in June that we scheduled another bike night party for August. August 12th came around and we were psyched to be back at the Shark Tank Bar. Lacie and Bobby Jo have a great business going here. Good parking lot, great bar, fenced in patio, and great patrons. Every time I have been there, the place is hoppin’. As we all know, the hot days of August sometime spawn pop up thunderstorms and as fate would have it, I ran through twenty minutes of rain on my way to Salisbury. I figured that would ruin our bike night, but at least I would get to hang out with the Shark Tank Crew and have an early night. That was NOT
the case. I went ahead and set up the Carolinas’ Full Throttle booth and threw some tunes on, just as the bikes started rolling in. Never count out bikers who are looking for a good time. Lacie had snagged the NYX Company to cook up some grub for bike night and Deb and Adam Gardner had it going on! Adam was killing it on the grill serving up baby back ribs, beans, and potatoes. I usually don’t have time to eat at bike night, but man, I wasn’t going to pass that up! The bikes rolled in and the lot, although wasn’t as full as usual, had an impressive crowd for a night that was full of rain showers. When the time came to award the best bike on the lot, Paul Goraj took home $150 cash and a killer trophy for his custom build, flame throwing 2010 Honda Fury. Even though Paul walked away with the cash, between the great tunes, killer food and great party, everyone won big and had great night. The Shark Tank really has it going on. Get out there and check them out and add this bar to your riding circle. They have Tuesday night bike nights, great atmosphere, and great weekend parties. When you get down there, make sure to tell ‘em that The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine sent ya!

caring and loving mother and grandmother and she has always tried to be a help to her friends, and people she knows. Saturday August 14th her friend Kitty Strickland and many others had a benefit ride that started at Double D Burnout Saloon in Kernersville NC. There was a quick safety meeting and Cheyenne sang The National Anthem, then a prayer for Kimberly and the safety of all the riders and then about 40 bikers were on the way for a beautiful country ride. It was led by Southern Riders MC with JJ Lester leading and Coty Strickland following with truck and trailer. The ride headed north to the first stop near Hanging Rock, “Our Place”. Then on to a great curvy road through the country to “Willies”. After a short break, we traveled on more beautiful country roads to “Xtreme Wings ‘N Things”, then back to Double D Burnout Saloon for an afternoon of fun and games. There was music by DJ John Luther and food provided by Eddie Bullins Food Truck “Fat and Happy” and several vendors were on hand. The variety of vendors ranged from Carolyn Yorkley with her custom jewelry to Crazy Bitch Shirts and Accessories, Barry and Lysa Weeks with Biker Gear And More, to FME Polarized Sunglasses and others. There were also a lot of great raffle items. Bree and Barry Williams won the 50/50 and gave it back. Troy Edwards won $200. and gave it back. So many people gave of their heart and time to donate or help. Many thanks to Glenna Harris, Tina Luther, Kimberly Peetz, Teresa Castle, Debbie Barrow, Tammie Norman, Amy Dunn, Jane Tolbert, Jo Beth Jones, Mike Tyson, Ronda Cox, Lisa Kubiak and, of course, Kitty and Ray Strickland that made it all happen. It was a beautiful day full of love and sunshine. A huge thanks to all the bikers that came out in the heat to give of their hearts and support. This is a non-ending benefit. This family needs our help, and you can still contribute by contacting Kitty Strickland @ 336-908-6383, or any family member.

Motorcycles, Bar Dancing, And Live Music Koyote Ugly Celebrates 2 Years In Salisbury
By: Lincoln Infield Down Hwy 29 in Salisbury, NC is a lil gem called Koyote Ugly. It is a haven for pole and bar top dancing, cold drinks, live music, and good biker parties. Koyote Ugly hosts multiple live acts each weekend and is basically throwing month long parties in this roadside cantina. The weekend of August 6-8, Owner Ann Huffman, laid it on thick with over 15 bands and a cookout to celebrate the bar’s second anniversary. It was a party not to be missed. I rolled in to Koyote Ugly with the Pandemonium Performance Custom Cycle crew and we were all looking for a good time. Got front row bike parking right beside the front door and headed on in. We were met by friendly bar staff, who were slinging drinks and having a good time. The bar is a two-room affair with the main section dominated by a large wooden bar decked out with rope lights and done up nice. The dancing pole is right near the bar and the pool table so you don’t have to go far to watch the action. Past the bar in a separate room is the live music stage with the Koyote Ugly mural on the wall and seating at tables and booths. The bar also features a fenced-in back yard with covered seating areas if you care to take your drink outside! We snagged some drinks and hit up the pool table while the band was jamming in the other room. Although the bar is a separate room, the music is audible, but not too loud to hinder a conversation, giving you the choice to rock your face off or enjoy the music and your drinkin’ buddies too. We
were halfway through a few rounds of mediocre pool games and a ton of jokes when the music in the bar section came on and all attention was shifted to the dancing pole as Kierston started her routine. That got the crowd warmed up for Gracie and Kierston to do a little bar top dancing! These girls sure know how to shake it and were greeted with a large round of applause when they got done. Outside, Big John was on the grill cooking up baby back ribs and chicken. Man, it was hot out there, but it was worth hanging out to have a bite of that grub! The spices were just right and the meat was falling off the bone. The portions were no joke either! It was enough grub to feed two, but it was so dang good that there was no way that you could leave any uneaten. I mean, leftovers are for quitters anyway. We partied all afternoon and had a blast at Koyote Ugly. Big thanks to Ann and her staff for the hospitality and the show. Koyote Ugly features bike nights on Tuesday and Wednesday and more bands than you can shake a stick at each month. Seriously, put this bar on your list of destinations and go on down and have a good time. Make sure you tell ‘em you read about them in The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine!

‘RIDE HIGH, CLEM’: Richmond County Bikers Honor Late Sheriff Story and photos by William R. Toler - Richmond Observer ore than 100 motorcycles roared in front of the old Richmond County courthouse the afternoon of Aug. 15 during a seven-rev salute in honor of late Sheriff James E. Clemmons Jr. “We just felt like it was something we needed to do,” said independent biker Bill Thompson, who organized the ride, along with Jamie Watson. Clemmons was hired as a patrol deputy for the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in 1989 and worked his way through the ranks before being elected sheriff in 2010. He died at his home Aug. 5 at the age of 60, and his funeral was held Aug. 10 at Cole Auditorium. Watson announced the ride the day following Clemmons’ death. “Clem was a great man,” Watson told the bikers who were assembled in the backyard of the Hide-A-Way Tavern. “I don’t know what to say … I’m speechless. “He supported us,” Watson added. “Everytime I walked in up there, he was like, ‘Where y’all riding to?’ Last time I went up there, he was like, ‘Where y’all going this time?’ I was like, ‘I’m here to get a handgun permit.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, you might need one.’”
Mark Gulledge served as Clemmons’ chief deputy for 11 years and was recently approved by the Richmond County Board of Commissioners to fill out the remainder of the sheriff’s term. “I’m envious of everyone that owns a bike,” he said. “Because, when I was teenager, I was on an XR-80 and laid it down on some loose pine straw. That was the end of my biking … so I’m going to watch y’all, I’m going to enjoy y’all. “We’re devastated,” Gulledge continued. “We thank you, and ride ‘em loud and proud.” Before they left, Thompson explained the plan for the seven-rev salute: “Seven meaning ‘completion.’” “... I think that would be one of the greatest tributes we could ever do,” Thompson said. In addition to the ride, donations were also made to go toward a college fund for Clemmons’ grandchildren. The convoy left the bar, taking the back roads to Steele Street and past Clemmons’ home, before riding down Fayetteville Road and East Washington Street, around Harrington Square before stopping in front of the old courthouse, which houses the sheriff’s office. A patrol car set up hours after Clemmons’ death still sat in front, adorned with a wreath and flowers, with the lights covered. Gulledge thanked all who participated from the old courthouse steps. “Clem would be smiling right now, asking you about your bike,” Gulledge said. Several people spoke after the ride, including Anson County Commissioner Vancine Sturdivant. Her son, William “Bugga” Sturdivant is president of Playaz Elite Motorcycle Club. She also considered Clemmons like a son. In 2017, Sturdivant was in a head-on collision coming into Rockingham. She said she was clinging to a jacket that belonged to her late husband, who passed away two

years prior. “Clem was one of the first ones to get to that accident and he knew the jacket,” she said. “The EMS services was going to cut that jacket off of me and Clem told them not to cut that jacket. That joker called to Chapel Hill and told them, ‘Y’all better not touch that jacket.’ I’m serious, I don’t know who he knew up there … when they brought me to, I still had that jacket on … To this day, I got that jacket and it was because of this man.” She also introduced two of the riders, who are officers with the Wadesboro Police Department. Several sentiments seemed to be echoes of those expressed during Clemmons’ funeral, including his love for everyone, regardless of race, and how he was more worried about others than himself. “This ain’t about color, this ain’t about race, this is about loving each other,” she said. Lin Jones broke down in tears prior to giving the closing prayer. “Every time I saw Clem, he hugged me, said he loved me,” Jones said. During the prayer, Jones said it was a sad day, “but I tell you what, I know someone that’s very happy up there right now, Father, and he’s looking down at all these people with these gigantic hearts.”

16TH Annual AMCA Blue Ridge Chapter Ride Photos And Story By: Roger Grinold riday, August the 13th was a good day. We arrived at the Carolina Motel in Franklin NC, around 1pm for the 16th Annual AMCA Blue Ridge Chapter Ride. After checking in and getting settled, we reunited with old friends and helped them unload their antique bikes. We were admiring the Flatheads, Knuckleheads, Pans, Shovels, and Evos, along with late model bikes and trikes. There was also Brett’s 96 Buell, a couple of Indians, and don’t forget Mickey’s Moto Guzi. One couple rode in on a 2014 Ultra Classic all the way from Illinois! Some decided to go for a ride to a local craft brewery. Others decided that the pool was the way to go. Dave Ervin went and got a hold of some pool toys. Later that evening, we all settled into the party mode and some went across the street for some Mexican fare. Saturday, we all assembled at the Franklin Café for breakfast and it was KSU at 10:30am, with 42 bikes and 54 attendees. We headed east on US 64 toward Highlands NC with a stop at the Dry Falls for a short hike. Along this route there are so many breathtaking views you don’t want to miss! We then proceeded into town and down Highway 28 into Georgia. Once we entered South Carolina, we stopped for a break. On the road again, we headed south on SC28 to The Last Chance of Walhalla, a great little bar where AMCA members were treated to hot dogs and hamburgers with all the fixins, and some adult beverages as well. Fluids were well needed because it was 89 degrees in the sun. Thankfully, this year the weather was in our favor, unlike last year. After lunch, we headed off to the Roadhouse Bar in Clayton GA. The owner, Mark Eskew, is an Elvis Impersonator and sang happy birthday to Janet and Larry. We all had a great time as Mark put on a good show. After that, it was hot, and time to go back to the motel for a swim, only to find out the pool was closed due to lightning in the area. That evening, we
were all treated once again to a fried chicken dinner and all the fixins. There was a birthday cake for Janet and Larry, and as it turned out Mickey was also having a birthday this month. Congrats to all! That evening we sat by the fire pit and talked about motorcycles, and this and that, till who knows when. Some said the last guy went to bed at 3:30 that morning. Sunday morning it was foggy at the motel, and so were a lot of the motel guests. We all helped each other load up and said our goodbyes, until we meet again. I want to give special thanks to our hosts, Carolina Motel and to Rick Allen, Ronnie Quinn, Randy Horn, Bill Yarberry on the grill, and our Road Captain Bud, for a wonderful time. Hope I didn’t leave any one out. For more info contact https://www.blueridgeamca.org/

April, the first Thursday of each month belonged to Smokin’ Harley-Davidson’s Bike Show Nights. Well, it was more like borrowed really, April and May were a blast but June and July were rained out. The final Bike Show Night of the year fell on August 5th and this time the weather cooperated and the stage was set for a great party. Shannon Rights with Tom McGrath’s Motorcycle Law Group has been dropping $150 bounty for the bike show winner each month and Smokin’ backed them up with a second and third place gift cards to the dealership. There were a handful of vendors set up and spectators were milling around when the riders started rolling in. I turned up some tunes at the Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine tent and we got the party started. It wasn’t long before we had twenty plus bikes in the show and front porch of Smokin’ Harley-Davidson was full of folks. Xtreme Wings N Things sends down a pony keg to make sure we have a good time, but these bike show nights get going quick and the keg was floating within an hour and a half. There is always a good spread of bikes lined up ready to be judged and this month was no different. Right in the middle of the lineup was something you don’t see every day. The fellas from the YouTube channel, Cars And Cameras, rolled in on a couple Honda Trail 70’s and one Honda street bike that had an engine swap with a Harbor Freight engine. These guys put some miles on the Trail 70’s and have even ridden them to the Outer Banks. It was cool to see them ride in and get in with the bigger bikes. It was a 100 mile round trip for them to come out to our bike night! When 8:30 rolled around, the keg was still floating, my ince
playlist was winding down, and it was time to announce the winners of the bike show. Smokin’ uses a great 7-point judging system examining the bike and its functionality that really evens the playing field and lets just about anyone who knows a little bit about motorcycles to be a good judge. When the votes were tallied, Devon Eckart of Whiskey Tango Choppers won top honors and $150 from Tom McGrath’s Motorcycle Law Group with his 2006 Custom H-D Softail. There wasn’t an inch of this bike that didn’t have a custom touch to it, all while maintaining a really rideable bike. Second place went to Shawn McKinney with a 2008 H-D Street Glide. Shawn’s bike had a really sharp looking green paintjob
www.

with clovers and shamrocks all over it. Kelly Minnich took home 3rd place with her 2006 H-D Road King. Her bike was a decked out white big wheel bagger with a wild white paint job with a multicolored paint splatter all over it. Congrats yall! This may have been the last Bike Show Night that Smokin’ Harley-Davidson was hosting for 2021, but they have plenty of great events, just check out their ad or the Full Throttle Cruisin’ Calendar to keep up with their goings on. No need to wait for an event though, Smokin’ is open every day except Tuesday, and has a great Inventory of motorcycles, MotorClothes, and accessories. Naturally, they can take care of all your Harley-Davidson service needs as well. Make sure you check ‘em out and tell them that the Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine sent ya! 20 Years In Business By Appointment Only

Never Alone Ever wonder why things happen? Sometimes to us or family or even friends? We always wonder why, and don’t realize all things happen for a reason. Some things we bring on ourselves. We always want to blame someone especially God. We should never question God. If God lays it on your heart to do something, you need to do it, no questions asked. If God tells you to do something, He’ll help you. We ask God to lead and direct us to do His will, then when He tells you, don’t question it. You might not like what He tells you, but remember He’ll never lead you down the wrong path. You may think so if you take it upon yourself, so don’t get mad and complain about where you end up because you took it upon yourself. Remember the Lord is our shepherd and we’re His sheep. God has a reason for allowing things to happen to us. He never said we wouldn’t have problems, but He did say they wouldn’t last long. God has a plan for each one of us. Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2: He makes me lie down in green pastures 3: He restores my soul, He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. 4: Yea through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; For you are with me, Your rod and staff, they comfort me. 5: You prepare a table before me in the presence of my
enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. 6: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. We need to step aside and let the Lord restore our soul. Stop trying to do it ourselves. Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy, but Jesus defeated him. Verse 5, He gives us stuff, Jesus uses the Holy Spirit to walk with us, so we’re never alone. Verse 6 tells us we don’t have to die to dwell in Him, all we have to do is accept Him into our hearts, praise Him and thank Him for what we have. Don’t worry about tomorrow cause the Lord will take care of you. People promise you they’ll always be there, but sometimes you’re let down, but there is One that will never let you down and that’s Jesus Christ. If you don’t know Him and want to, read the Bikers Prayer below.

Joan Carol Skipper Bike Ride By: Chi
July 21st, 2021, was a great day to ride for a good cause! The fundraiser for Joan Carol Skipper took place at Open Doors Ministries, located at 2704 East Broad Street in Elizabethtown, NC. It included a bike ride, plate sale, silent auction, door prizes and lots of good family fun! Friends and family joined in the efforts of those at Joseph D Salon of 130 West Broad Street Elizabethtown, hosting this loving event. The fundraiser ride was to offset medical costs incurred by Ms. Joan Carol Skipper, or as we locals say “Joan Carol.” As you all know an injury including surgery can be so costly. And what a great way to spend your Saturday afternoon! We love to ride and do good things and this day we were able to do both, at the very same time. The event brought many bikers and riders from Bladen County as well as those traveling from neighboring counties aturday
to support this community event. Bladen County Sheriff’s Department provided escort for the ride followed by many motorcyclists as well as those with four wheels. The gamut of support was overwhelming and speaks powerfully as to the community involvement and support for Joan Carol. Typically, we would refer to helmet hair but this ride was a little different! Ms. Skipper and her colleagues at JD’s Salon are hair stylists; so, this ride not only provided some of the best bikers around but it also provided awesome hair styles! Everyone was adorned in their blue shirts that sported an awesome hair stylist clipart and stated “Benefit Ride & Fundraiser For JC” to support the ride. The ride itself was awesome and everyone returned to Open Door Ministries for some delicious food plates, and some of the best Bladen County desserts! People came and participated in the silent auction and picked up food plates for others. The love and support shown during this ride was fantabulous! At The conclusion of the event, Joan Carol gave a heartfelt thank you to everyone that participated in preparation as well as the day’s events. It was a touching speech to anyone that heard it but for friends and family of Joan Carol it brought tears to your eyes! A humble speech of thanksgiving for not only today’s events but the day-to-day compassion and caring that she has received. Both, Joseph D Salon and Open Door Ministries are always willing to go the extra mile that was obvious today! No one looks for hard times, but when they come your way, you can count on these Bladen County locals to have your back! Thankful and blessed! Ride safe and keep posted with The Carolinas Full Throttle Magazine and Cruisin’ Calendar!

Keith Bills Ride By: Gary Steelman
Bills has been an active rider and volunteer for many years now in the Iredell county area. Recently, health problems have taken him away from the biking scene, as well as kept him from work. Carolina Steel and STE Powersports teamed up to put on a benefit for Keith on August 7th. Folks from all around NC may have heard of Keith as he organized rides and benefits for so many, he saw that were in need. So now, it was time to help him with some hospital bills and to let him know he’s not been forgotten. Bikers from Carolina Steel, Throttle Junkies, and CMA all came out to support Keith. Despite the overcast skies and dreary wet day, around fifty bikes rolled into STE Powersports’ lot. Then they rode the backroads of Iredell and Alexander County before rolling back to STE Powersports for the hotdogs, music, and 50/50 and silent auction. At the end of the day, extra food was donated to the homeless shelter and well over a thousand dollars was raised. Get well soon Keith and good luck. I’m sure we’ll all be hearing from you soon as the needs of the community grow, Keith and the guys from Carolina Steel will work to meet them. Thanks guys! ‘Til next time. eith

Kanawha Valley Bike Rally By Lincoln Infield
Dugspur, Virginia on the side of a mountain, there exists a great biker treasure, the Kanawha Valley Arena. The past 12 years this old west themed location has hosted some crazy biker parties and shows promise to be one of the hot spots in the southeast. The Annual Kanawha Valley Bike Rally is a thing of legend, a bucket list rally that has all the earmarks of a great old school bike rally and then throw in river tubin’ and nightly cannon fire. As with all outdoor events, the overall success depends on a good weather forecast, and this not what was on the scope for this year’s festivities. We watched the forecast fluctuate and weighed the accuracy of the meteorologist and decided it was worth the risk to ride up and party for a while. It was an absolutely beautiful ride up the mountain and I made it dry and in time for the bike games. John and Tina Luther of Wolf Mountain Biker Entertainment put on the bike games and bike show at the KVA events and know how to keep the crowd going. That allows event organizer, Brooke Bright, to let loose and enjoy herself, it is her and her family’s place and event after all. It had rained a little already so the games were now switched to people games. Poke her and run and group board walk were going on. John is on the mic the whole time egging these folks on with a little, eh, motivational words. It’s all laughing and spilling beer on each other if you’re in the games. Seriously, they do a hell of a job. In between the games, they announced that Greg Ransom won the bike show Best In Show with his custom 2017 Harley-Davidson Street ucked away in
Glide. It was right about then that the skies opened up and a gentle, but soaking rain began, and that was the end of the games. Rain actually enhances a wet t-shirt contest, which was up next as part of the water sports that go on at the KVA. The arena has a great covered seating area by the event field and
it was packed for the festivities. A hat was passed and donations were used enhance the participants level of involvement. Christie ended up walking away with a wad of cash and the crowd was left with a big smile on their faces. The rain doesn’t stop the Kanawha Valley party AT ALL. There are plenty of shelters to get under and it’s just an excuse to party harder. The western theme extends to the Carriage House and the Saloon and they become popular places to gather. The property also features a hotel and plenty of camping area. I made my way around to the vendors and was checking out all their wares while the weather passed. KVA features a nice permanent stage and the sound crew
www.
FullThrottleMagazine.com
had it sounding great for the three bands that were set to play Saturday night. The skies were a bit ominous, but the hard stuff didn’t come down around the arena. When the bands come on stage, the field turns into a drive-in concert area filled with bikes, four wheelers and golf carts. The lineup for the rally included fan favorites like: Flat Black Caddilac and Darrol Harwood on Friday and Crash Test Radio, Mo Pitney, and Tim Elliot for Saturday night. I saddled up and headed for the house after a bit. Bad idea, I shoulda stayed and kept rocking out. I got drownt going down the mountain. But it was a warm evening and I was mostly dry by the time I got home. That 30% chance of rain finally got me, it was well worth it. I look forward to heading back up to Dugspur for next year’s Kanawha Valley Bike Rally. This rally has huge potential that unfortunately got a lousy forecast this year. Take a ride and head up there yourself, you won’t regret it. Keep your eye on the Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine for announcement of their upcoming events.

The outsole is Vibram Rubber and has all day comfort to keep you on your feet all rally long and features abrasion, slip, and oil resistance. The boots feature a 6.5” shaft made from full grain leather that is plenty to give your ankle and lower leg some protection. They lace up the front with 6 eyelets, two lace hooks at the top and a YKK locking inside zipper for a perfect fit each wear. I found the boots to slip on easily and fit my foot well. The leather is unlined for a soft worn in feel from the get-go without a long stiff break in process. The outside of the heal is stamped with the ever so important Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield Logo as a status symbol but isn’t over done or too flashy. These boots are gonna look great on the rally field or in court, but we’d rather be kicking shifters or beating a path to the bonfire any day. e all know that the name
I highly recommend these boots for you! Check em out online www.harley-davidsonfootwear.com or run by your local Harley Davidson dealership and try on a pair. Then go out and put some shifter marks on those boots! See ya out there.

Benefit Ride For Terrie Griffin By: Wally Wersching errie Griffin has had kidney problems since high school. Now she has a chance to get a kidney transplant. Her friends from the Carolina Faith Riders wanted to help with her expenses so they initiated a Benefit Ride for her. It was held on Saturday August 14th at the West Point Baptist Church on Union Road in Rutherfordton, NC. There was no charge for the event just donations were accepted and appreciated. Registration was held from 9:00AM to 10:00AM with the ride leaving as a group at 10:15AM. The ride consisted of mostly right turns until they stopped at the Lake Lure Baptist Church for a break. Then a few more right turns until they came back to the West Point Baptist Church at about noon for lunch, and lots of door prizes. It was a large circular ride on some great back roads. I first heard about the ride from the Full Throttle Cruisin’ Calendar and marked it on my calendar to attend. Then I picked up a flyer for the event at a gathering. I always like to get a flyer so I can show my wife where I’ll be when I leave. I left home at about 8:30am heading west on Rt 74. I exited onto SEPTEMBER 2021 CALENDAR Union Road and headed north. As soon as I started onto Union Road, I remembered that I used to ride it just BENEFIT for the pure joy of the twists and turns along with the beautiful scenery. It is one of those roads that you never forget. After a few miles, I turned left into the BEACH MUSIC SUNDAY'S church parking lot, Check FB 0r Our Website For Updates On These Events and parked. There www.baxterstavern.com were already quite 536 Farragut St. Greensboro, NC a few bikes parked around the edge of FOR

the lot. I talked with a couple men standing next to where I parked and gave them each a copy of the August issue of Full Throttle. I took the stack of magazines out of my pack, and went inside to register, then placed the magazines on the free stuff table. They were selling event t-shirts but I just gave a donation. I have too many t-shirts that I’ll never wear. More and more bikers were rolling in. There was even a group of Can-Am Spyders. They are the trikes with the two front wheels. They are very well designed but can be difficult to master if you’ve been riding motorcycles for a long time. They don’t handle like a motorcycle. I walked around taking pictures and talking with friends. Many of the bikers are at the Sonic Drive-In on Tuesday evenings in Forest City, NC. They were almost ready for the preride prayer when Lil’ Roger and his group from the “Bikers for Christ” ministry rode in. They weren’t going on the ride. They were there to donate to Terrie, and then go to another charity event north on Rt 226 which started at noon. Everybody was called together for the pre-ride prayer, and ride information. They were told that there would be “Road Guards” in yellow vests who would stop cross traffic until the group had passed. Later in the ride, there would be a police escort for the ride back to the church. At about 10:15, the first of the group left heading south on Union Road. Then the rest followed. The last was a dune buggy that brought up the rear. I headed home while I totally enjoyed the ride on Union Road. I got home about 11:00AM, and my wife and I decided what to do for lunch. It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning – helping a young lady in need and being with friends – not to mention riding a great road!

Bike Night At Full Throttle Biker Church
By Wally Wersching n Thursday July 22nd, Full Throttle Biker Church held their second Bike Night of the year. It started at 6:30PM with free hot dogs, drinks, and chips along with some sweet desserts too. Full Throttle Biker Church – Western North Carolina is located at 620 NC120 Highway in Mooresboro, NC just off US-74 Bypass at exit 189. I’ve known the pastor, Mike Gettys, for many years. I didn’t know about their first Bike Night and am sorry that I missed it. I decided to go to their second Bike Night and am glad that I did. I left home about 6:15PM heading west on Rt
74. I exited at the Rt 120 exit and turned left. The church was just up the road a short distance on the right. The parking lot was full of motorcycles around the edge with many people congregating in the shade of the building. After I parked “Miss Vickie”, I looked for Mike. When I found him, I gave him a stack of Full Throttle magazines along with a copy of the May issue of Full Throttle. Mike’s picture was in the May issue, and he hadn’t seen it. I always like to share magazines with the people who are pictured in them. Many people walked up to me and gave me a hug. I hadn’t seen them in over a year because of the pandemic. It was good to see them all again. We all exchanged stories of the places we went over the last year. Some rode to the Outer Banks and back. That’s a long ride but worth it. I bumped into “Lil Roger”. I’ve known him for over 35 years. He’s not so little anymore but still goes by “Lil Roger”. He was there with some of his friends from “Bikers for Christ” a local biker ministry. There are many local biker ministries in the area. I walked inside the church to see many people enjoying the hot dogs with all the fixin’s. I always like to see all the smiling faces at bike nights. That’s when bikers can get together and tell stories and have fun. I walked around the parking lot to see all the bikes. “Miss Vickie” was the only Victory there but there were many other types. Not all Harleys though, there was a Can-Am Spider, and a Suzuki V-Strom – both sitting near a vintage Harley Shovelhead. You never know what kind of bike will be rolling in on a Bike Night. I left before it got dark and will definitely come to the next Bike Night. It’s always a fun time.

Full Throttle Bike Night Tour Stops At Bongo’s Bike Night
By: Lincoln Infield t’s been a long hot summer full of bike nights, which isn’t a bad thing at all. There are so many bike nights across the Carolinas and each one has a different flavor. July 22nd we found ourselves in at Kickback Jack’s in Mooresville, NC at Bongo Bach’s Bike Night, sponsored by Tilley Harley-Davidson. If the name Bongo Bach doesn’t ring a bell you haven’t been following the music scene in the biker community. Bongo has been around since I can remember and is an accomplished drummer currently traveling with Bongo Bach’s Soul Ensemble and is apparently also the king of the Mooresville Bike Night scene. Kickback Jack’s in Mooresville is right of the main drag on Ervin Rd and has quite a large parking lot that was getting filled up quickly. It was a hot night and made for good riding weather. There is still plenty of evening daylight in late July and I think every biker in the county was piling in for the Karney Law Firm / Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine Best Bike On The Lot Contest and to take in some great live music from Fifth Divine while enjoying a great patio party. Folks don’t realize how much work it is to make these events happen, but Bongo was busy making sure everything was going smoothly, I tell ya, he was a man on a mission all night long. There was already a huge crowd on hand when Fifth Divine started to rock the patio. This trio was great. They put out a lot of sound and had the crowd dancing all night long. Seriously, they were entertainers. I was teamed up with Danea from Karney Law Firm and we had a hell of a hard decision to make. We cruised up and down the lot all night long handing out Full Throttle Magazines and Carolinas’ Biker Lawyers swag, taking photos of bikes and people, and trying to pick out the “Best Bike On The Lot”. There were so many potential winners that we had to keep a list going. Bongo made it
a little easier on us when he announced that Tilley HarleyDavidson and KBJ’s were throwing in gift cards as additional prizes. Instead of just handing out $150 cash to the best bike on the lot, we now had prizes for second and third place bikes. That took the pressure off a bit! The party was still hoppin’ around 9:30 when Danea and I took the stage to announce the winners of the Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine / Karney Law Firm Best Bike(s) On The Lot Contest. First place and $150 cash went to Mike McCloud of Huntersville, NC. Mike rode in on a beautiful red and white 1965 Harley-Davidson Panhead FL. It was a real stunner and grabbed some extra points for running the factory 8-Track player. Mike had a Jimi Hendrix 8-Track playing for the ride over but had a selection of classic rock 8-Tracks in the tour pack. He was carrying the Woodstock soundtrack, Led Zeppelin, and a few other rockers. Mike’s Pan had a real low serial number that indicated it was 34th off the line in that production year. It was too cool. Second place went to Ben Ferguson who had a sharp gold accented black Harley-Davidson Road Glide. Ben went home with a gift card to Tilley Harley-Davidson. Third place and a KBJ gift card went to Pete’s 2012 HarleyDavidson Softail Deluxe. It was nice and clean with fishtail pipes and skull covered, hydrodipped saddlebags. Fifth Divine took back the stage and kept the party going for a while longer. It was seriously a great party and everything you want bike night to be. Congrats to Bongo Bach for putting together a killer party. Big thanks to The Carolinas’ Biker Lawyers for helping us sponsor the Best Bike On The Lot contest!

armoire collapses yet again for the third time. Rosie is now fed up, cross and rather angry so she ‘phones the customer service department. She is told that this is quite impossible and that they’ll send along an installer to take a look. The installer arrives and assembles the armoire. Again, a train passes and the armoire collapses. Completely baffled by this unexpected event, the installer decides to reassemble the armoire and sit inside it to see whether he can find out what causes it to collapse. At this point, Rosie’s husband comes home, sees the armoire and says, “Oh, that’s a splendid looking armoire,” and he opens it to look inside. The installer, who had been wondering how to explain his position in Rosie’s bedroom armoire, blurts out, “You probably won’t believe me, but I’m standing here waiting for a train.”
through the streets of Paris that a new bell ringer was needed. The bishop decided that he would conduct the interviews personally and went up into the belfry to begin the screening process. After observing while several applicants demonstrated their skills, he decided to call it a day. Just then a lone, armless man approached him and announced that he was there to apply for the bell ringer’s job. Bishop Thomas was incredulous. “You have no arms.” ‘’No matter,” said the man, “observe!” He then began striking the bells with his face, producing a beautiful melody on the carillon. The bishop listened in astonishment, convinced that he had finally found a suitable replacement for Quasimodo. Suddenly, while rushing forward to strike a bell, the armless man tripped and plunged headlong out of the belfry window to his death in the street below. The stunned bishop immediately rushed down the stairways. When he reached the street, a crowd had gathered around the fallen figure, drawn by the beautiful music they had heard only moments before. As they silently parted to let the bishop through, one of them asked, “Bishop, who was this man?” “I don’t know his name,” the bishop sadly replied, “but his face rings a bell.”

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go on a camping trip, set up their tent, and fall asleep. Some hours later, Holmes wakes his faithful friend. “Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.” Watson replies, “I see millions of stars.” “What does that tell you?” Watson ponders for a minute. “Astronomically speaking, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, it’s evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?” Holmes is silent for a moment, then speaks. “Watson, it tells me someone has stolen our tent.”
A linguistics professor was lecturing his class one day. “In English”, he said, “A double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative.” A loud voice from the back of the room piped up, “Yeah, right.”
Rosie Hall buys a DIY, flat-pack, armoire from her local Home Depot store. Reaching home, Rosie reads the instructions carefully, counts the pieces, then assembles the armoire in the bedroom. It looks really great and she is delighted. Now, Rosie lives near a railway line and as the train passes by the armoire collapses. Undaunted by this misfortune, she re-reads the instructions and reassembles the armoire. Once more, another train passes and the whole armoire collapses again. Rosie now frustrated and thinking that she must have done something “wrong,” re-re-reads the instructions and re-re-assembles the armoire. Shortly, a train passes and the whole
Two lawyers arrive at the pub and ordered a couple of drinks. They then take sandwiches from their briefcases and began to eat. Seeing this, the angry bartender approaches them and says, “Excuse me, but you cannot eat your own sandwiches in here!” The two look at each other, shrug and exchange sandwiches. A man and a woman were having dinner in a fine restaurant. Their waitress, taking another order at a table a few paces away noticed that the man was slowly sliding down his chair and under the table, with the woman acting unconcerned. The waitress watched as the man slid all the way down his chair and out of sight under the table. Still, the woman dining across from him appeared calm and unruffled, apparently unaware that her dining companion had disappeared. After the waitress finished taking the order, she came over to the table and said to the woman, “Pardon me, ma’am, but I think your husband just slid under the table.” The woman calmly looked up at her and replied firmly, “No he didn’t. He just walked in the door.” I’m always amazed to hear of airplane crash victims so badly mutilated that they have to be identified by their dental records. What I can’t understand is, if they don’t know who you are, how do they know who your dentist is? After Quasimodo’s death, Bishop Thomas of the cathedral of Notre Dame sent word
The pedestrian light on the corner beeps when it’s safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an ‘intellectually challenged’ co-worker of mine. She asked if I knew what the beeper was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, “what on earth are blind people doing driving?!” She is a government employee..... The Pegasus Airline had a policy that required the first officer to stand at the door while the passengers exited, smile, and give them a – “Thanks for flying Pegasus Airline”. A pilot on one particular flight hammered his plane into the runway really hard. In light of his bad landing, he had difficulty looking the passengers in the eye, all the time he thought that a passenger would have a smart-ass comment. However, it seemed that all the passengers were too shell shocked to say anything. Finally, everyone had gotten off except for this little old lady walking with a cane. She said, “Sonny, mind if I ask you a question?” “Why no Ma’am,” said the pilot, “What is it?”, the little old lady said, “Did we land or were we shot down?”
