AMC Theatres data breach

AMC Theatres fell victim to the Cl0p ransomware attack following the attack on Discovery Inc. The hacker group exploited a vulnerability in Progress Software’s popular MOVEit transfer application, leading to widespread service disruptions. The MOVEit data breaches have affected numerous organizations, exposing sensitive customer and employee information.

Cyber attack on UK airports

UK airports have reportedly come under coordinated cyberattacks by Russian hacking groups. London City Airport’s website experienced downtime, with pro-Russia group UserSec claiming responsibility for the attack.

Anonymous Russia later claimed a similar attempt on Birmingham Airport’s website, though it remained operational. Both airports’ services seemed unaffected, but the intention behind the hacks remains unclear. This follows previous warnings by the UK government about Russian hackers targeting critical infrastructure, including energy plants.
