JACK BENNETT

DOMINATES WITH HIS THIRD WIN

Jack Bennett was back to his winning ways winning his

third race of the season after dominating the closing laps, initially with some well timed attacks in the crosswinds,

then convincingly out sprinting his breakaway companions Daniel Gandy, Michael Potter and Marcus Culey.

Another superb nights racing in perfect sunny conditions

with a ‘light’ NE wind keeping everyone honest. Despite a

strong pace up front by C grade and A grade disintegrating in the closing laps, the front A grade riders still had everyone caught with 2 laps to go.

From then on it was simply a matter of holding your po-

sition and being able to go with the final lap moves when

they came. Nick Delegat proved he’s studied the Tuesday

Night race plan well and was perfectly placed to follow the A grade sprint train and storm home for his first B grade win AND a top 5 finish.

Hot on his wheel was Jacob Van Egmond who had his

best result in B grade for second while Will Heffernan had the ride of his young life to grab third.

Another first time winner in C grade with Phil Cloros

proving he’s destined for a higher grade honours after

also managing a top 10. Pat Curtin continues to improve each week and literally flew home for 2ndin front of Vas Zygouris who has now had 3 C Grade podiums in 3 weeks.

Plenty of competition between the 9 female starters with

Gina Ricardo coming home first with another strong ride in B grade.
