TOM BOLTON BACK ON THE TOP STEP
WITH WIN NUMBER 3 Oliver’s Real Food sprinter Tom Bolton stormed home to
take win number 3 for the season when he won a thrilling and close sprint to the line from Daniel Gandy and Jack Bennett. Also in the mix were Scott Law and Brad Mills making the podium.
A sunny and exciting nights racing in a solid south east-
erly wind which really didn’t trouble many riders until the
speed and intensity increased in the closing 3 laps when A grade had made the inevitable catch.
This week C grade had a much tougher task handling the speed on the closing laps with only a little of a third of the field making it to the finish.
Right in amongst was this week womens winner Hattie
Lowden who was just off the podium in with 4th overall. Tom Collins made sure of the C grade win when he fin-
ished 10 spots in front of next best Josh Heffernan. Mark O’Connor had his best finish in his short Heffron career with third.
Reid Daish is not only new to Heffron but also new to
cycling but that hasn’t stopped him stepping up through
the ranks and nailing his first race win with a strong win in B grade and 10th overall.
From an enthusiastic start in C grade only 8 weeks ago
to a win from the B1 mark is an impressive introduction to Tuesday Night Racing.
Only 2 more handicaps on the calendar until the first of
the Heffron Monuments, the 2020 Easts Trophy Race on 15 December.
