BENNETT SCORES
2nd WIN AND TOPS LEADERBOARD
On a perfect night for fast racing Jack Bennett, Alex Nazarewicz and Jonno Cridland went head to head across the straight with Bennett finishing half a bike length in front of Nazarewicz.
The win now places Bennett with a handy 6 point lead over
Jonno Cridland after the third round of the Sydney City Skoda Summer Series.
After a hectic last lap catch, Liam Kelly somehow always
manages to put himself in contention for the sprint and was
rewarded with fourth overall just in front of Harrison Bailey who completed the top 5
Adam McCoy stormed home strongly to finish an impressive 7t
hoverall and claim the B grade win just in front of Robbie Allen. Rodrigo Notaro still holds the jersey in the tightest grade which has now seen nine different riders all claim points.
C grade by comparison have had only four riders claim points
so far with round 1 winner Nosh Mistry too strong for last weeks winner Will Heffernan, however Heffernan still holds onto the jersey by a one margin.
It was great to see womens world tour rider Brodie Chapman line up at Heffron for her last event in Australia before
heading back to Europe. The FDJ rider won 1st women but more impressively claimed 3rd in B grade from a field of 50
starters. Emma Roberts was 2nd women and picked up some
valuable points to put her in the womens purple leaders jersey next week.
A great nights racing with another 100+ start list including
10 new riders experiencing the excitement of Heffron Park Tuesday Night Racing
