CRIT DAWGS FINALLY BARK AS CHRIS POWELL WINS ON CUP DAY The battle of Heffron Park team bragging rights took anoth-
er twist on Cup Day with Attaquer Crit Dawgs sprinter, Chris
Powell launching the perfect sprint to squeeze out Jack Bennett in another exciting finish when the race came together in the closing laps.
Crit Dawgs team mate Alex Nazarewicz finally found his race
legs to grab the last podium spot which he was very happy to share with team mascot Monte Dawg.
Rolando Delaytz finally showed his true form with a super
strong finish for fourth which also netted him the B grade win and a well earned promotion back to A grade. Tuesday Night first timer Leo Yip also had a strong ride from the B1 mark to grab second in front of Week 1 B grade winner Luke Britten.
The Britten family enjoyed another successful week of Heffron spoils with younger bro Dylan backing up his fine C grade win from last week with another convincing win to earn himself a
start in B grade next week. Nosh Mistry, another Tuesday Night newcomer was second with Will Richards taking third to show his determination to get back to race fitness.
The big story of the night belongs to the 12 female riders
who raced and mixed it amongst B and C grades. Tuesday Night Racing has always been a little daunting even for
stronger male riders so it’s tremendous to see so many female riders enjoying the experience.
Queen of the women was Brodie Chapman who is back in Australia after her second successful season in the womens pro
peleton. Brodie avidly follows Heffron Parkresults from Europe
and by her own admission was even a little nervous at the level of talented women on the start line. In the end she had little to worry about finishing an impressive 18th overall only beaten home by 10 A grade riders and 8 B grade riders!
