Rolando Delaytz lead a fired up B grade home to deny A grade line honours for only the second time this summer. Delaytz and Simon LHuiller fought neck and neck down the straight with Roly finishing strongest. Strong finish for Peter O’Connor for third who has been in the mix again all season but just missing the big prize. After a week long soaking in Sydney, the clouds parted just long enough for another great nights racing for the penultimate race of the season. With A grade numbers down their work was cut out from the go trying to make up the time on a B grade which was twice the size and blew out of the blocks recording 2.55sec laps.

Round 8, 19 March 2019

ROLANDO BRINGS B

GRADE HOME

RESULTS

C grade were caught by the charging B grade with 6 laps to go and the 50 strong combined group were now well clear and think about a rare overall win. Mathieu Bremaud and Adam Socha tried some softening up in the closing laps but the winner was always going to be decided in the gallop to the line.

1 Rolando Delaytz (Bici Sport)

Delaytz’s reknown sprint prowess was always going to be hard to beat and so it proved across the line. Completing the top 5 were Mike Bolt and Jason Morgan who enjoyed his best result of the season. The B grade series is still up for grabs with Jean Paul Williams still in the box seat on 6pts.

C Grade

C grade winner was somewhat of a surprise when Tuesday Night newcomer 17yo schoolboy James Olsen-Keating effortlessly crossed the line in 9th overall. Series leader Lui Alvarez picked up a valuable 2 pts for 2nd and is now in an unbeatable position to take out the C grade comp. A grade may have been out of the hunt for overall but Luke Cridland wasn’t taking any chances as he backed up his Bathurst one, two from the weekend with solo win. Jack Bennett rolled in second happy in the knowledge that next week he will be crowned 2019 Summer Series Winner. Hoping for a sunny clear evening next Tuesday to wrap up another memorable season of racing.
