Round 1 – 15 January 2019 The 34th Heffron Park Tuesday Night Summer Series got off to

windy start when newly signed Team Nero Bianchi strongman Jesse Coyle stormed home in front Crit Dawg riders Jack Bennett and defending champ Alex Nazarewicz.

The 60 strong field of riders was decimated in the 65kph NE winds in one of the toughest nights racing at Heffron and over the years there have been some tough ones.

It was always going to be A grade’s race on a night like this and they had the race wrapped up with 5 laps to go.

There was no letting up on the relentless pace in the closing laps

with moves from Luke Cridland, Dan Bonello and Ed White splitting the 25 remaining riders into small groups all over the track.

Despite an early move from Luke Cridland and Alex Nazarewicz

also getting his nose in front at one stage in the sprint, there was no stopping Coyle for the Nero Bianchi’s maiden win for 2019, which

also puts Coyle in the Leaders jersey for Round 2 in 2 weeks time. Big ride of the night goes to the 3 B grade riders Matt Kasher, Rich Younger and Peter O’Connor who were in the mix right till the end. Kudo’s to Matt Kasher for

for 5th overall. Both Matt and Rich will look good in A

winning B grade but also for being in the Series points grade next week.

Richard White won a hard fought 2 man race with

Nick Coster to claim his 1st C grade win after a strong ride and well done to Emma Coral Roberts for being the only female rider to make it to the finish line

Congratulations to all the riders who participated in brutal conditions.
