JOEL WALSH BAGS ANOTHER WIN FOR GPM Joel Walsh might’ve had been busy setting up his GPM

Stulz teammate Cam Ivory for a big win in Launceston at the weekend, but he was back on home turf on Tuesday night carving out his own win at Heffron Park. In a hotly contested sprint he held off Nero Racing’s Jimmy Nicol and Crit Dawg local favourite Jack Bennett.

When the NE wind gusts start peaking at 65kph you know its going to be a tough nights racing which may explain

why numbers were a little down, especially in C grade who had less than 20 starters. That didn’t deter the enthusiasm with all grades getting off to a solid start but it didn’t take

long for the wind to take its toll on the front groups as the

race unfolded and the inevitable catch was complete with 2 laps to go.

The odds were stacked in favour of the Crit Dawgs who

still had 3 riders left in the mix meanwhile Ed White was

the only soldier left for Joel Walsh to rely on. In the gallop to the line Walsh didn’t have to rely on anyone except his

on strong finishing ability. Our French visitor Simon Lhuilier continues to improve and impress finishing 4th just in front of Brad Mills and Darcy Ellerm-Norton.

The battle for B grade was as intense as always with only 5 riders from 30 starters in the mix at the finish. B grade crown for the week goes to Peter O’Connor who was a

deserved winner after some strong rides in recent weeks. Biggest rap must go to Brodie Chapman who mixed it lap for lap in B grade and came home 2nd in B grade and of course first woman home.

Another strong ride of the night goes to C grade winner, 16yo Jamie Dunn who has managed to achieve what

some riders aspire to for years which is win at Heffron in

only his second race and only starting cycling a little over a year ago.

#If you can win at Heffron…..

THE KING of HE ANTHONY SPURGEON

“I’ve received hundreds of messages over the last few weeks.

Yes, it is correct. I wasn’t a Heffron to witness another classic race or two. But I have people everywhere to help me. I am THE KING.” THE KING rates for us the top place getters of Tuesday Night Heffron Week 6.

1st A: Joel WALSH Great to see the GPM riders slowly returning to Heffron. Have you guys been denied entry to that many pubs you have nothing better to do on a Tuesday night? 2nd A: James NICOL It’s been a week now since your 2nd place. Why has there been no VLOG? 3rd A: Jack BENNETT Son. It’s taking you a while to get to the top step. It still might. It took me what, two race meetings, but hey, I am THE KING. Hang in there, but don’t smoke a joint before standing on the podium. You give yourself a bad image 4th A: Simon LHUILIER My guess is you are going to toy with this bunch of no-hopers for another week, then smoke them all off the track 5th A: Bradley MILLS Two Tuesday night wins in a what, a decade. Another one will be like waiting for the Sharks to get a 2nd grand final. Go back west. 1st B: Peter O’CONNOR I see in the race results your name is Peter G O’Connor. G surely is not for Great or Grand . More likely Gooooooooone 2rd B: Brodie CHAPMAN My advice to you is get out of the Zetland CC as fast as your pretty legs can pedal. When the distemper hits this try-hard pack of dawgs, you really don’t want to be around

3rd B: Daniel CHALHOUB Dan, I was asked not to slander you and the fact that you need to take a lap out to shave. So I won’t. Welcome back to Heffron. 1st C: Jamie DUNN Could someone else other than another Manly rider win a race please. 2nd C: Tfabian Kegel Just like old mate from last week, you old blokes are flexing your muscles at the moment. Just don’t flex anything else. 3rd C: Darren BYERS Don, you are not living in a real world Sopranos. “Woke up this morning...” You might like to call yourself Don, Donny, Little Don, but I am THE KING. Or The Don of Heffron if you like. 1st Woman: Brodie CHAPMAN Seriously now, you almost won B-Grade. This will piss someone off when you do. But be warned, you win, there will be a pack of dawgs on your tail, all manouvering for you to purchase the Slushies at 7-11 Kensington. 1st Robbed Woman: Emma ROBERTS. Hahahahahahah
