Oak View Restorations was established in 1992 by Nick Powers andJason Foster renting bench space in Chris Cowell’s chrome laboratory. In 1994 the lab moved into its own premises on a farm in Cookham Dean, in the beautiful Berkshire countryside. Over the next 12 years Oak View grew into a progressive laboratory, keeping up with new technologies and materials liked pressables and indeed were the 1st commercial laboratory to take on the Cerec In-Lab system . It was at this time that Oak View amalgamated with Jim Webb, who had run his own successful crown & bridge laboratory in Beaconsfield, giving the business more flexibility to share resources and grow. Expansion plans meant that Oak View would then move again into its own much larger premises in Saunderton, Bucks where it is still today. A prosthetic department was set-up offering our clients a much broader range of services while also managing a consistent high quality. With the majority of the work now being implant-based and technology and materials changing, the Ceramill CAD/CAM system was brought in, giving the opportunity to offer even more to our clients.
HOW MANY TECHNICIANS WORK AT OAK VIEW?
At present there are 2 Ceramists, 2 CADCAM/metal techs, 2 prosthetic, 2 in the model room, an Office Manager doing all the admin and a new Trainee. In total there are 13 staff including 3 drivers that take care of London and Local clients.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Job Title - Experienced Ceramist l Oak View are looking for a self motivated, hard working technician with good technical knowledge and ability. The role requires working with a number of implant systems, sometimes on full arch cases plus single and multiple unit crown & bridge restorations. The working week is 5 days, Monday to Friday from 8.00am with some flexibility if required. Salary is £40 - £60K/ per annum dependant on experience, and we offer 4 weeks annual

leave, one of which is to be taken at Christmas when the lab closes. We have a bonus scheme based on overtime or production, depending on department, and also provide a workplace pension scheme. Flexible hours can be accommodated (within reason). The lab is happy to encourage career progression, and the new recruit can expect to further their career by going on relevant courses that will be mutually beneficial of which the company can contribute or/and pay for training courses.
Experienced CAD/CAM Technician available Locations considered: Southampton area, anywhere within a one hour drive of Southampton. Others areas considered are Hampshire, Dorset, Salisbury. CADCAM experience includes implant work, custom abutments, All-on-4. This CADCAM technician has many years experience in the crown & bridge dept, including basic ceramic layer, metal, models etc. Mainly uses Exocad, but also had experience with 3Shape.
